Agnostic, so I win! ... in my... not knowing...
-
I didn't mind the ending as I knew (had a strong suspicion) that an expansion would be released to conclude the lackluster ending. Just took it as a Star Wars V type ending.
-
The trial was one of the best parts in the game. It was like the Chrono Trigger trial x10. Loved playing a Bard, destroying their case in court and earning a super laywer feat for it.

Just edited my post with that info, forgot it when writing the reply.

Shortly after arrving at Neverwinter you have the option of working for either the watch or the thieves. Isn't a huge split as you often do the same quests, just with different motivations. The ending is fairly Fallouty in that things you do in the course of the game effect it, not so much a last minute decision. You CAN at the last minute decide to join the big evil for a different ending, but this ending is A: EXTREMELY hard. You have to . B. 'Non canon' as the expansion takes place as if you fought the big baddie, whether you control an evil or good character. Also, make sure you treat companions you like well (keep earning 'influence' with them) as influence effects what happens in the final room.

BREAKING NEWS: Michael Jackson is dead!
GreasyDogMeat replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Way Off-Topic
Elvis did it, so why not Jackson? -
Attention, good or bad, is still attention.
-
Like I said... Borat(ing).
-
I was going to spend time... responding... but really, its just a waste of time. Flies is either trolling for kicks/social experimentation (Sasha Cohen - Borat) or (shudder) an extreme lefty who should move to France and be done with this awful country.
-
Dare I ask why?
-
How will it end? I'll tell you how it will end... a disaster of biblical proportions. Old Testament, real wrath of god stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthqakes, volcanoes, the dead rising from the grave, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA!
-
I've got nothing against the other systems. 360 just had more games I was interested in. I do wish they would port some of those Resident Evil games over to 360 arcade... or something.
-
Don't have one of those either. I'm an XBot!
-
The thing that makes me want a GameCube most are the Resident Evil games. That and the Zelda game(s).

Welcome! We try not to do a lot of 'work' around here.

Poor Farrah Fawcett. Dies on the same day as MJ and gets completely ignored. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRtNeSOGkvI

"Red herring/ad hominem, my personal effect on Africa has nothing to do with the topic at hand." You have nothing to do with the topic at hand which is dead celebrities in the month of June. Neither do I wasting time on responding to you. "Georgia v. Russia: very important. Ethiopia v. Somalia: not important. Genocide of Kosovans: important. Genocide in East Timor: not important. Government of Iran not being a democracy: important. Government of [insert country here] not being a democracy: not important. What connects these? Hmmm..." Threats to America you racist! Iran = big threat... Ethiopia v. Somalia... Maybe I've missed something but I don't know how this conflict is a bigger threat to America than the other events. You give examples trying to back up your racist viewpoint and you mention Iran. LOTS of white people in Iran. "I assume you mean Latin America, correct? Obviously ill children in the US don't really need much help since any day now (lol) we'll get around to it." Yet we spend so much money giving to foreign aid and we still have problems in the US. You are right though. We DO give way too much to foreign aid when we should be focusing more on our own back yard.

Since when was MJ white? YEAH YEAH, laugh it up, but last time I checked he was African American. Or he was... bah! And no, race is NOT relevant. If Bill Cosby was one of the many celebrities who died this month would you still say that? You are comparing celebrity deaths of multiple races to world policy... you definitely have something against whitey. "Why do you think Americans are so rich and can give more money than everyone else??? Hint: neo-colonialism, which is centered on Africa and Latin America." There are MANY reasons America is a rich country, though, likely being a Marxist I'm sure that is your focus. "Wrong again, most of the posts in this thread are about me/my opinions, which makes this thread about me." Thats why its called hijacking, and why you are a egotistical ******. "If I can change just one person here's opinion, my positive effect on sub-saharan Africa will be doubled over my lifetime. Do the math - a few minutes time wasted before going to sleep is nothing in comparison." Congratulations. You changed my opinion. Though considering it, I'll never donate to any African charities. Instead I'll continue to focus on ill children in America.
-
"June 2009 is way worse than June 2003 because some rich white people died." Ah, I'm sure a bit of racism doesn't play into your views. "There's plenty of USAID going to Latin America too (targeted at the more repressive regimes because of corporate influence), doesn't mean that the US has had a positive effect in ANY WAY on Latin America." So all the good effect in other regions doesn't count . Doesn't change the fact Americans give more than any other country on the planet. I think we've earned the right to be a bit mopey about our celebrities AND donate even if they seem like an odd combination. "It's been months since I last bought a video game, and I give most of my disposable income to charity. What now?" Now you should go create your own thread to whine and mope about all the horror in the world instead of trying to hijack a thread for people that want to talk about people that they looked up to/enjoyed/etc passing away.

BREAKING NEWS: Michael Jackson is dead!
GreasyDogMeat replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Way Off-Topic
MJ was also a video game star! http://www.gametrailers.com/video/angry-vi.../44106?type=wmv Moonwalker! -
On the contrary; the death of a random African child is newsworthy. It is newsworthy because it happens every day, and many times every day. It is newsworthy because it can be corrected. It is newsworthy because it is something that is evil and terrible and wrong in the world that can be fixed with political and economic action that is never tried because Americans are distracted with "Michael Jackson died" and the corporate shills in congresses and parliaments worldwide have no reason to do anything with their public so mollified, and can thusly continue to get contributions from the most disgustingly oppressive corporations in return for never bringing it up. I love how African children dying is America's fault despite being the most charitable nation on the ****ing planet. I know this http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-0...haritable_N.htm is from 2005, but its been like that for some time. TWICE as much as the next most charitable nation. Don't get me wrong. People get WAY too attached to celebrities. People who don't know these people end up swarming the hospitals and what not. Just don't get it. Its also pretty lame to get on your high horse about charity and starving kids in Africa on a VIDEO GAME FORUM. You could have given that last bit of money YOU spent on a game to charity.

Don't know why you would feel that way. Left the main quest and didn't come back to it until I had explored every inch of the wasteland and completed every sidequest. If anything I felt more pressure in F1 to complete the main quests due to the time constraint. Heh, I remember when I first got Fallout, how the days (ingame) blew by so fast, put me in a panic "OMG Where is the water chip... gotta find it NOW!"
-
I'm currently playing it again, for like, the 30th time since I got it back in 97-98'. The main quest may have followed a linear path, but the many sidequests are the parts that stuck to the nonlinear exploration aspect. A larger more in depth main quest that is linear + a world full of awesome side quests - I like it and Fallout 3 did it right. Now if Obsidian can do the same and deliver a better main story I'm set. Bah... what am I saying... thats a given.
-
I disagree entirely. If you look at fallout 1, it barely even has a main quest. Instead it has 3 very open-ended objectives that can be carried out at any time, in no specific order, and with no obligation to play by the rules of the game (such as making specific characters invincible or doors locked until the plot allows them to die/open) The Overseer sure as heck was invincible (or buffed to such a ridiculous point that even a level 20 character would find it impossible... for all intents and purposes: invincible). My point was that the main quest(s) wasn't very compelling, it was the side quests and towns that was the real meat. Linear wasn't the right word. Even Fallout 3's main quest isn't linear in the sense you can skip large portions of it.
-
Well, the sidequests had numerous options and outcomes for solving them, its just a shame the main quest was so linear. Thats been fairly standard though in previous Fallouts as well.
