  1. Activision are hardly doing themselves any favors charging 15 bucks for a handful of maps for MW 2. Between that and all the bone-headed moves publishers have been making recently it is no surprise that gamers are going to side with the fired IW devs, right or wrong.
  2. They already made a X-Com third person shooter and space combat sim game, so why the crying about a FPS?
  3. Sheep herders in Wales have way too much time on their hands. http://earthblips.dailyradar.com/video/ext..._sheep_led_art/
  4. You are just mad cause they'd all totally dig Fallout 3 and they would refuse to talk to you when you started ranting about how much it sucks.
  5. RED DEAD REDEMPTION! Ahem... yeah I'm kinda excited about it. Ok, we get it, please stop advertising RDR already. I wont be happy unless everyone experiences it's majesty. Why isn't Rockstar paying me?
  6. You make a fairly convincing argument in your post... have you tried confronting your family with it?
  7. The last Red Dead was part of some kind of Capcom deal. The game was also more of a linear shooter. The only connection the two games seem to have is the dead-eye targetting system.
  8. RED DEAD REDEMPTION! Ahem... yeah I'm kinda excited about it.
  9. That would be the professional thing to do. We're talking about Activision here though. I swear, it seems like publishers are in a competition to see who can be the bigger jerk within legal limits. EA, often cited as one of the nastiest, is ironically looking like the coolest one at the moment.
  10. Read my post before TrueNeutral's.
  11. I have a feeling that despite this looking like a dumb move on the pilot/Polish President's part, it wont stop conspiracy theories and perhaps hightened tensions. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36382419/ns/world_news-europe They're actively working on a horrible death for America.
  12. It would be nice if they could bring in some stuff from Van Buren. It would be a waste not seeing some of those ideas come into play. Some elements of Van Buren made it into F3 & DLC add ons, so I wouldn't be surprised to see elements in New Vegas.
  13. Damn, why couldn't it have been the Obama administration?
  14. I'm actually more excited about Fallout New Vegas. This ranks a close second.
  15. Any knowledge of the previous Red Dead game is not required. There are no returning characters or connections to the previous games (atleast from what has been shown and I have obsorbed every last sentence about the game). I also strongly suspect that Red Dead Redemption will make its way to the PC like GTA IV did. This is the biggest release of a game franchise outside of GTA. Games outside of their GTA franchise, like Manhunt 1 & 2, Bully & Midnight Club have made it to PC. I can understand keeping ones interest in check or outright ignoring this game until it is confirmed on PC. Having a 360 I've let my excitement run wild like a rabid coyote on the prairie. There have been numeros videos released at gametrailers.com which highlight both the gameplay and the story. The tone seems to be closest to GTA IV in that it IS a more serious game, but there is still some extremely humerous and colorful characters. Just check out the Gentlemen & Vegabonds trailer. http://www.gametrailers.com/game/red-dead-redemption/11275
  16. Its been another 10 minutes since I gushed about Red Dead Redemption. A new video is up focusing on the game's free roam multiplayer. This is the first video about the game's MP features and it looks to be like the icing on a delicious cake! http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gameplay...-red-dead/64250
  17. Couldn't disagree more. For me, it was not only the best GTA to date, but has earned a spot on my top 10 favorite games. I was also suspicious of its high scores. I had enjoyed previous GTAs but had some major things I disliked about them. Then I actually played GTA IV and it blew me away on every front. I do find it interesting how people either seem to love GTA IV with a passion or hate it with a passion.
  18. Yep. Or at least, I watched one preview. What about them? Well, besides being the best things ever... nothing really.
  19. You should really rent the set if you get a chance. One of the best series I've seen with interviews from the real people the show was based on.
  20. A child is not a race or religion, it is a vulnerable age group and it isn't any form of 'ism' to feel more protective of them than an adult. Is your emotional response to violence truly identical no matter the age of the victim? I find that hard to believe.
  21. I don't really see the similarity between a 80s game where the naughty bits are composed of 2 pixels apiece and something like RapeLay from 06'. Further... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a...tersRevenge.jpg Can you really take that seriously? I also don't see how Manhunt/Postal 2 are as gratuitous. One of your targets is an innocent child in RapeLay. Children are not featured as targets in either Manhunt or Postal 2. That is pretty much my point... there is absolutely nothing in violent games that goes as far in their violence as RapeLay goes in its sexual depravity.
  22. Always enjoyed seeing the tid-bits of info you would dangle before our ravenos maws! Good luck in SF!
  23. To play devil's advocate, does anyone think there is a point in entertainment where if someone were to play a game and enjoy it you would think differently of that person? Say for instance, you had children and you had a babysitter/family member who watched out for your kids. If you found out that person 'got off' on RapeLay, specifically raping the 10 year old child in the game, would you still trust that person to watch over your kids? I have to admit, I find this discussion interesting. Partly because I feel like a hypocrite. I play and enjoy violent games like GTA and Postal where you can go around and slaughter people at will. The thing is, again, there is nothing that compares with RapeLay in the violence area. You can perform some disgusting kills in Postal, but all of the victims in the game are older and humerous jerks who basically try your patience before you chop their heads off with a shovel and play fetch with their heads with your pit bull. A rape game that would compare to Postal 2 would be one where your targets were all women of age who were raging humerous bitches 'asking for it' and the rape was performed in a 'humerous' way. RapeLay is a game where one of your targets is a child who screams and cries during the assault. While I defend games like Postal 2 and GTA, that these games have merit, entertainment value and wont lead someone to kill who doesn't already have that in themselves, I might change my mind about the merit of a game if it were basically a reflection of RapeLay except focused on violence. A version of RapeLay that was about killing instead of rape would go something like this. You would follow a child on a subway. Once alone you would grab this child and slit their throat. It wouldn't be done in a humerous way, you would be face to face, you would see their tears and hear their screams and begging as they died. That would be the whole game... just brutally killing people. Honestly, if I met someone who enjoyed a game like that I would be a bit worried about being around them. I guess the reason I feel like a hypocrite is because I enjoy Postal 2, and many people have claimed that Postal 2 is nothing but trash, yet I find it can be rather humerous and a nice release after a bad day at work etc. I feel certain lines shouldn't be crossed, if nothing else for the sake of decency.
  24. You sir... are Did you watch the previews!? I admit I am a bit biased. I LOVED GTA IV and the idea of a western with the same physics/game engine is already pretty exciting. Add in LOVING the Dollars Trilogy growing up, wanting to be Clint Eastwood's blondie doesn't hurt my excitement level either. Further, add in incredible preview videos, both gameplay and cutscene wise that look flawless and I'm currently drooling over myself counting the seconds until the release date.
  25. After the insult that was Pinnacle Station for ME1 Kasumi felt more than worth it at 7 bucks. Maybe that was EA's plan all along... release trash and every other DLC afterwards looks like fantastic content for it's price. That said, there is an actual story in Kasumi's Stolen Memory that is pretty good, a cool new location, some well done cutscenes and a new SMG to take out and into the main game.
