Ted Cruz: The Comedy Gold that Keeps on Giving
Guard Dog replied to ktchong's topic in Way Off-Topic
A libertarian has introduced legislation on favorite libertarian issues, ergo, he cares about blacks. Gotcha. Have you ever wondered why libertarians favor criminal justice reforms? Could it be they recognize that law enforcement has been unfarily hard on people, and yes, noticed it effects black people the most? There are reasons why people are libertarians you know. Well said! People who favor big government should stand up and cheer ever time a cop beats or kills someone. That is government in all it's glory.- 125 replies

I've had little joy from the Grizz the last few weeks of the season but one more win and they are on to face Leferd's boys. The we'll see what's what.

I wonder if women would be uncomfortable using the same restroom as a transgender female? Being male I could give a s--t myself but women look at that kind of thing differently.

Ted Cruz: The Comedy Gold that Keeps on Giving

No kidding? I thought it was odd you've been here for three years and 4k+ posts and I hadn't run across you until recently. Plus the sarcasm and political inclination reminded me of a couple of guys I used to battle with on a regular basis here. That's why I thought you were an old poster with a changed name. I was thinking you were a guy who used the name Pop, but you're too polite to be him. You would have insulted Namutree at least once in the last exchange if you were him.- 125 replies

PrimeJunta have you ever posted here under another name? If so I think I've figured out who you are. I'm curious.- 125 replies

I didn't watch the interview because I really don't care. But from what I gather Jenner has been a very unhappy guy for most of his life. It's something I can't really sympathize with because it's beyond my comprehension but whatever. I look at it this way, he wants to become a woman: It's legal to do so The option is readily available. He's spending his own money, not mine or the other taxpayers He thinks it will make him happy So. What's the problem? I wish him well and hope this will make him happy. Sadly, based on some of the things I've read over the years it probably will not.

Ted Cruz: The Comedy Gold that Keeps on Giving
Guard Dog replied to ktchong's topic in Way Off-Topic
There is barely a nickels worth of difference between the two these days. If I were to eliminate the news stories and didn't tell you who was in what party and just showed you the voting records you would not be able to pick who was in which. Both are all about welfare at home and warfare abroad. All the horrible stuff Democrats accuse the Republicans of doing they are silent about when their guys are the ones doing it and vice versa. I get puzzled whenever liberals go crazy after a cop beats or kills an unarmed person. That is government. It's what they have always wanted and have worked to empower since FDR was elected. They should be happy.- 125 replies

The good news is you are off T-Mobile. The bad news is you now have T-Mobile with a google sticker on it: http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/04/22/us-usa-google-wireless-idUSKBN0ND27O20150422

Perestroika in US - neccessity of US dissolving
Guard Dog replied to obyknven's topic in Way Off-Topic
I'd love to see this topic turn into a real discussion because I find it fascinating that the same pressures that drove the breakup of the US in 1860 are still around today and are actually mounting again (not slavery, that BS will NEVER happen again) namely the decline of federalism and the powers of the states being usurped by the federal government. But this thread is to far past the absurd point to do anything but mock it. So I'll just say, Hooray for the USA CAS.- 30 replies

Yeah that is a little melodramatic. If this is the only spot and it even is cancerous you should pull through this not only fine but with a minimum of inconvenience. I still say this thread would have been a lot better you were having sex with girls who have mid-summer birthdays. As long as you didn't post pics of them (that will get you in trouble around here)

Calax you are a smart guy and a college graduate. Unless they are considering you to manage many stores getting this job would be an underachievement. I'm not picking on you here, you are way better than this.

Like Volo said, steroids didn't make him a better hitter. Roger Maris was a scrawny thing and still broke the record. What steroids did for Bond, and many others, was keep them around at a high level for longer than they should have been. For a slugger like Bonds breaking the career mark was just about staying healthy long enough to do it. But Hank Aaron never used them and he hit 755 so I'd say he was better. But then again he retired in '76 and I was only 4 and not watching baseball so maybe Leferd was right. Bonds might be the best player I'll SEE in my lifetime.

Just got home from work. Lady GD just called, she is brining home dinner so nothing left to do but sit on my porch, watch the sun set and enjoy a glass of 9 year old small batch.

Happy Birthday Calax. I just raised a toast to you. Just because you didn't see it don't mean it didn't happen!

In 1244 counted posts, and an untold number of uncounted ones (most of which were good) this is by far the best zinger you've ever dropped!

http://www.raysindex.com/2015/04/rays-dfa-grant-balfour.html What happened to this guy? He went from a top tier reliever to a late innings disaster and shows no sign of turning that around. I have to hand it to Silverman & Co. this was a gutsy and much needed move. Maybe we could trade him to Detriot? Dobrowski owes the Rays one. He got David Price for Drew Smyly, a used tigers gym bag, and the contents of his office wastebasket. The tigers need bullpen help don't they? I'll say one thing, Having Ball-Four in the pen will motivate the starters to pitch complete games.

Hmmm. I was hoping you meant you were having sex with a girl born in June. Hope it's not serious.

Well... as improbable conspiracy theories go it's not the worst one I've ever heard. But not my favorite one. My all time favorite was that Ronald Regan ordered the destruction of the Challenger just to kill school teacher Christina McAuliffe to send a message to the teachers unions that were contemplating a strike back in 1982. Now it takes some real mental gymnastics to thread THAT intellectual needle!

Its very reassuring and positive to see some of the ardent support veterans receive in the USA, thats how it should be for people are prepared to risk there lifes for there country I agree. Unfortunately it has not always been so in these parts.
