Just watched GoT. WTF? I mean really, WTF? The Red Wedding, beheadings, rapes, incest, enough death to choke a maggot on a gut wagon, that's all fine and good. But what they did tonight? WTF? Even GRRM never stooped to that and based on where the characters are in the book it looks like he won't. Of course I'm not going to stop watching or anything like that. It is just a TV show after all. Not like anyone ACTUALLY got hurt. Plus it's not like there isn't some historical precedent for this kind of thing. Just read the Iliad. But seriously, WTF?

I just started that very thing. The FO4 trailer inspired me to play them all again. I just started a new FO1 game for the first time in 6-7 years last night!

If you don't mind sharing what are the key reasons you will vote for him? Lack of acceptable alternatives to tell the truth. Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, & George Pataki are all democrats who think registering as a republican will fool the voters. Kaisch & Santorum are neo-cons and we've had more than enough or their ilk. Rick Perry & Mike Huckabee are pandering to the religious right which (despite my own religious convictions) is not a group I want to have any political clout. Ted Cruz is a neo-con that wants to cut taxes but otherwise toes their line. I really like Carly Fiorina & Ben Carson but unless they come up with a hell of a lot of money & support they don't currently have they have no shot. Which brings us to the only candidate that has spoke put and actually taken action against the Patriot Act and the other Big Brother BS this current admin and the one before it shoved down our throats. He is the only candidate that has ever championed the 10th Amendment in any situation where the Congress has usurped the state governments by legislative fiat. In short he is the closest thing to a libertarian that is likely to be able to win in my lifetime.

I made sun tea. That was about it really. Kind of a lazy day.

Right now Rand Paul has my vote.

I'm with Gorgon. I've played these games with both male & female PCs and if I'm going to spend 100+ hours looking at a characters rear end in 3rd person view there is no question which gender I'd prefer to look at.

Gal Civ 2 was ok. I liked the ship design part. I couldn't really get into it though. Horizions was a disappointment. It came close to being good but the clunky menu, haphazard tech tree, poor ai & diplomacy hurt. MOO2 was like your first real girlfriend. You'll have others but none you'll remember so fondly.

The editorial in today's Commercial Appeal predicted the next President of the US is not currently running. wouldn't hurt my feelings if true.

My wife is a RN. She makes more than I do. Now at least. Before my contract ran out at my last job it was the other way around. My department head at work is a woman. I am quite sure she makes more then the rest of us.

Well, after this I can say I will never go to Disney World again! Of course that was pretty much true before I read this but still....

As someone who has been laid off before, no company owes you a job. They will keep you around so long as it is in their interest to do so. As long as the service you provide adds value at the cost it requires to have you add it. We are not going to start having legislation from f-----g Congress or anything like that to fix it. It's just how things are. Every person who isn't self employed would do well to remember they are a disposable commodity and they need to keep their skill sharp and always be mindful of who is hiring and what they are paying. You owe your company no more loyalty than it owes you. That's why I prefer 401K to a pension. It's portable. All employment is temporary when you get down to it. What happened to these folks was s----y no doubt. But Hurlshot nailed it, if you are going to start preventing companies from making personnel decisions you are going to see companies move overseas. That would not be an improvement.

I hope this leads to bigger and better things Calax. It seems to me you are overqualified for that kind of work. But something beats nothing every day of the week.

Looking at Galactic Civ 3. I've never found a sci-fi 4X game I like as much as MOO2.

One thing the Bethesda games do well, IMO, is create an atmosphere. Walking through a burned out building at twilight, rifle at the ready, with Galaxy News Radio in the background made up for a lot of weaknesses in the story as far as I was concerned.

Tactics was ok. You just had to like it for what it was. Not what it wasn't

Well. I'm buying it. It might be a fools errand to try to glean too much of 100+ hours of gameplay from a 3 minute trailer, of which less than half was actual gameplay. I look at it this way, there have been 4-5 Fallout titles (depending on who you ask) none of them have sucked. I seriously doubt this will be the first.
