That's it I give up. Either you are not reading what we are posting, you are determined to not be persuaded from the ideas you've decided are right, or you are just dense. Whichever it is continued participation in this discussion is a straight waste of my time.

I don't think this thread is the place to talk about how you got the butterfly trampstamp.

Suppose I was going to make a video with the agenda of proving Islam is a violent death cult practiced by savages. Say I went to (insert Islamic country name here) and asked 200 people if all people who do not follow Islam should be killed. Suppose 195 of those people said no way and five said yes. I make a video showing only those five and put it on the internet and Billy Bob from hicktown Alabama see it and believes all Muslims are savages who want to kill him. That would be ignorant on his part wouldn't it? So Qistina (of for the sake of this example, Billy Bob) are you able to comprehend the flaw in your reasoning here? I've read most of your posts. You don't seem dumb to me, just grossly ill-informed. Are you able to understand what you are doing wrong here? I have to admit I am more than a little tired of folks who have never set foot in the US. know next to nothing about it that they didn't see on the all knowing, always correct oracle called the internet, coming on boards like this and telling me what my country is really like.

I've found that a woman who was really... REALLY good in bed can talk a man into doing almost anything.

thanks to bugs bunny cartoons, we typical go hasenpfeffer route with bunny, but as the multi-day brine can be trying our patience, faux tandoori is our backup. can you call it tandoori if you don't use a genuine tandoori oven? *shrug* overnight in yogurt/lemon/spice marinade and then grill. cast iron/dutch oven frying or fricassee is gromnir-wants-it-now options. tonight, am gonna make an omelette. am not sure what we would do if we couldn't eat omelettes no more. is a quick and easy meal and is an infinite number o' variations. don't need to kill a bunny to make an omelette, but if we got leftover leporids, chances are we can work it into an omelette. HA! Good Fun! If I'd killed those rabbits the truth is it wouldn't have been for supper it would have been for spite. I'd like to think I'm better than that. But I've been really angry about things lately so maybe not. But I didn't do it so maybe so. After all the rabbits didn't do anything wrong. Even though that (cooking) is the reason I bought them to begin with. But once a critter has a name it is not longer livestock, it becomes a pet.

319 million people in the US, you see a handful of dummies in a video edited to only show the dummies and jump to the assumption that all 319 million are just like that. This coming from you after typing thousands of words defending the practitioners of Isalm from being equivocated with terrorists. If you don't see the irony in THAT there is not helping you.

I was thinking of making fried rabbit for dinner. But I couldn't bring myself to do it. So it will be spaghetti of something instead.

I was supposed to be in Nashville at a hockey game tonight. But there were a lot of things in life that are supposed to happen and don't. And a lot more that are not supposed to happen and do. Not a thing can be done about that. Except maybe pour some top shelf whiskey in a glass, put on a Bob Marley CD and get hammered

Hyperbole... I made it up. Maybe they were though. "Over? Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" "Germans?" "Forget it, he's on a roll"

We had out office Christmas party today. it was a nice low key thing at the park down the road. I had three bottle of this: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1146/10672/. I had no idea they were $10 a bottle though! I felt bad when I found out because I didn't bring them. I gave the guy a $20 for the two he didn't offer me. When I got home I had the taste of bourbon in my mouth and wanted more. So here I am on the couch in front of the TV with two ore three more lowballs in me than I probably should have had. Definitely a bit tipsy.

Watching the news it sounds like a bunch of guns got up and went to a Christmas party and shot the place up all by themselves. In fact CNN barley mentioned those guns were carried by two practitioners of the "Religion of Peace" we are all told constantly it not the problem, who were screaming "Allah Akbar" while they gunned down people they knew for years because they weren't muslims. But hey a man named Nadal Hassan walks out into Ft. Bliss and shoot every soldier he sees while screaming Allah Akbar and Barack Hussein Obama has YET to acknowledge that as terrorism. Of course never one to waste a good tragedy the blood wasn't even dry yet and that small, petty little man that somehow got elected twice as President is calling for more gun control. Because obviously the solution to evil is to punish all the people who did nothing wrong yesterday. Hey Barack I have an idea, why don't you take you gun control talk and go f--k yourself with it.
-
Have any of you ever BEEN to Dothan Alabama? I have. Those cops were not just racist, they were lazy. If they applied themselves to investigating just a little bit they would not have needed to plant drugs, they could have found plenty legitimately.
-
You can basically replace Muslims with Guns in this sentence. How does that help in any way? The gun would have killed no one if the muslim didn't pick it up and bring it.

Check out this exchange I had with Calax five years ago! I've been talking politics with that guy for a LONG time now! http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showtopic=56180&p=1069009 Ah, but the next 5 years will be really interesting, as Calax transitions out of college and into the role of a 30-something working class stiff. Most folks find they are not such a big fan of high tax rates when they actually start paying them!
-
Well, anyone with a life threatening illness is deserving of sympathy even if they are somewhat responsible for what happened. It's pretty crass of her to not realize that. I'm not sure what apartheid has to do with it though. That was a s----y thing to be sure but I don't see the connection with AIDS and it is over now. Remember this one truth Bruce, as----es are born that way and can't help it. Don't bother getting mad ay them, just avoid them.

Holy crap! I called that! If the Warriors lose tonight I'm going to laugh.

WOD if you could chose to kick-out any states from the USA who would they be? The blue states in the map above, but mostly California and New York, that's where all the evil comes from. No way. Massachusetts. They already can't speak the language, It's "door" dammit, not "duwar"!
-
Ah the life of a government employee. Think of that when you get your property tax bill next year!

Our office is closing on Friday for the rest of the year. I still have to answer my phone and e-mails and be available if needed but that is it. Just as well, I could use the break,

The voters. Right now we get to decide what the scope is on local and state levels, but we have very little say in the Federal level. Incorrect Hurlshot. Actually the United States Constitution did that. It laid out in clear detail the responsibilities and LIMITS of the federal government and specifically assigned everything NOT included in it's text to the STATE and the PEOPLE. Any questions Calax? If so please read Amendments 9 and 10 of the aforementioned document. Oh, by the way Calax, the words healthcare and education do not appear in any of the seven articles or twenty seven amendments. That's true, they don't. But then the Constitution also mentions slavery in Article's I IV and V, and yet we've gone though and changed it. Nor does the constitution mention an Air Force, a Federal Police force, or Occupational Health and Safety. Does this also mean that we should remove the USAF, FBI and OSHA and leave it to the states to enforce those rules? I started writing a reply to this and had a serious case of Deja vu. Then did some searching. You, Tsuga and I spent 3 whole pages of posts talking about this EXACT thing on a threat called "2012 Election Aftermath". You and I discussed it again in a thread called "Greece, the EU and why we can't have nice things", and again in "armed forces lose tuition benefits" although we bounced around it on that one. You, Hurlshot, Enoch & I hit this hard on the education topic in a thread called "First Failed State" back in 2009. And I pontificated on it at length in a thread called "Calling Guard dog and others in 2010" So, in other words f--k it. I'm not going to word vomit 1k to 2k words on a reply you've been reading and rereading from me for the last seven or more years. I haven't convinced you yet and vise versa. We don't agree on it, we're not going to and that's that. Nothing wrong with it. That's why i'd rather talk sports than politics these days. We've been having political discussions on this board since I wandered in back in 2004 and while they are usually entertaining the needle seldom moves much because we're all older, educated and set in our ways. And stubborn. Of course that's not to say change is impossible. Enoch once pointed out a huge flaw in my reasoning on capital punishment so much that I used to support it but now I'm opposed to it. And of course debating politics is usually fun but in this case I'm just finding the repetition tiresome.

I suspect that very thing may happen at some point WoD.

Oh Christ, we're doing this again are we? Fine. I'll be back later with a reply I've written at least a dozen times over the years

I'm happy they're happy. But I don't want to live in Great Britain and I don't want their politics here in my country. If you'd prefer that then by all means more there. I'll even pitch in for a plane ticket. And while you're there look Wals up and see how he's doing. As for here, my guns killed no one yesterday, or the day before, or ever. Leave them alone. It's no ones business who I converse with on the internet, or on my phone, or what I say, or who I vote for, or what books I read. countries that make that kind of thing their business have a history of mass-exterminating or just "disappearing" citizens who don't toe the "party" line. I'd rather not take the first steps to that ever happening here in our country.
