Hey some of ur prayers may have been answered?
nightcleaver replied to Ne'rou Karrik's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You mean in the final battle? Interesting... Anyway, I was thinking that they hadn't actually changed the game mechanic, but had put blood in certain instances where it was needed for effect. For instance, you enter a murder scene and see a splotch of blood. I can't imagine some "red paint" would raise the rating, but I couldn't see how changing the game mechanics wouldn't... -
visas marr, "handmaiden" and disciple?

They *did* say there would be a romance option for either side. And we need lots of options, right? (Hrmm...) If T3 were a female robot, well... -
Questions to Dev's, Take 4

That's pretty much the same thing that anakin said. -
I think he meant 7.5

White Haired Chick and Darth Nihilis
nightcleaver replied to Jad'en's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
actually, I was just getting the MP3's off the website, and clicking away, and Sion didn't fade completely as I went lightside. -
I can't get the second. It gives me an error.

I seem to forget exactly what he said, but in something - Basilisk riding, I think? - Canderous was second only to the mandalore of his time. It seems reasonable, then, that he would take that place... Maybe Mandalore wants to take a low profile? That might explain why his mask isn't red.

visas marr, "handmaiden" and disciple?
nightcleaver replied to random evil guy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe Visas and Handmaiden aren't apprentices at all. Or maybe Disciple isn't an apprentice at all. Heck, maybe he's a former disciple to Revan, or maybe he just worships you... or maybe it's the other way around, and Disciple is your apprentice. -
White Haired Chick and Darth Nihilis

Oh really? I tried it twice, after clicking both the lightside and the darkside page originally, and both times atris faded out. Now I really wish I hadn't said anything about this in the first place... -
Nar Shardar Is A Planet
nightcleaver replied to Obi-Wan Kenobi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
While I don't think this is evidence in any way, shape or form, I'm pretty sure I heard Nar Shadaa was in. It would certainly explain the "NAR" in the walkthrough. I thought it was said to be in an interview or something? -
Nar Shardar Is A Planet

wow... how can you tell? -
Can you tell us roughly how many NPC's (joinable) are in?
-
It says on the homepage, "Every click, a choice." I can't tell what on earth it would be hinting at, exactly. I would guess T3 to be pretty neutral.
-
Have you had a chance to hear any of the VO or music? (besides what we hear on the KotOR2.com website) What's your impression?
-
But you can make it either darkside or lightside depending on how you click on the interface once you've chosen that. I'm talking about the characters. I was trying to see if there's anything interesting in how that's determined. You can't just look at one part of the site and only that part to determine the pattern.
-
Going off of all this info, let's try to see if there's a pattern to the website. UPDATE: If you click on Sion and click on someone else, it seems to make you go dark. If you click on T3 then someone else, it seems to make you go light. Clicking on T3 always puts you closer to the light, and clicking on Sion always makes you go closer to the Dark.
-
Going back again, it's actually pretty random whether it decided to make you go dark or light. Oh well. Although it could be something more complicated, like if you make certain choices then the people you click on... well... probably not. I can't imagine they'd put that much work into something like that.

I was thinking that I really liked the animations on the KoTOR2.com webpage; will the animation look anything like that? I also rather liked the look of the lightsabers, though they don't look like that in any of the screenshots

Something interesting I noticed on the site: Generally, when you click on a good or a bad character or planet or whatever, it'll take you more to that side. When you click on Kreia repeatedly, well... it takes you closer to the darkside. Interesting, eh? Akari said there was a drawback to having Kreia in the party, but didn't say what - it could be game mechanics, or it could be story oriented. Of course, I HAD the impression that the lightside voice which was speaking to you was Kreia's. Maybe Kreia is lightside, but something about her is "darker"? Maybe the magic she uses, or the way she trains you... she's not an official jedi, supposedly.

Will there be any significant graphical differences between the XBOX and PC versions, other than high-resolution and slightly more detailed textures as it was with the first one?

Have You Noticed The Mystery?
nightcleaver replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, the "Handmaiden" also wears a hood. Don't you think it redundant to have her face in the background and her body in the party? (I agree with the other people who brought this up, in slightly different words) Look at the background in the LA KotOR2.com website. Her face fades as you go further and further dark as the interface goes dark, and the masked man fades if you go lightside. I think that's strong evidence that they're too different people. Am I mistaken, or does the PC avatar have a different shade of "white" hair than the "white haired girl"? If I'm not mistaken, it looks quite yellowish, wherea's the white haired girl's hair is quite white, with a little bit of blue in it. Kreia is old. Do you know any old people who haven't gone bald or had greying (if really want it, "whitening", even though Kreia's hair isn't that same shade of bright white so much as it is grey) hair? Apparently, if they have anyone young in the party with white hair, it's redundant and stupid to put any OLD people in the party. Yes, exactly. Make them bald instead, even if they're female. What? If you go too far into this direction, well... Anyone else notice that there are three brown people in the party, possibly including your PC? Learn where to draw the line. I'm a totally live and let live person, and if that's how you want to interpret it, fine... just realize that you're probably doing more harm than good for yourself. -
It's like trying to figure out the right answer to a multiple choice question from the previous question's you've answered. Unless your professor always puts a pattern in his multiple choice tests, it's all a matter of luck. Does anyone remember the hooded woman who was confirmed not to be "Atris" a while back? In one of the old, old screenshots fighting a robot? I think that's the handmaiden. Atris has a different sort of facial structure from the "Handmaiden", I think, so I suspect they're related or of the same race/species, and not the same person. As time passes, I have the growing feeling that "Atris" will never actually be a party member.

Eek! The music is awesome.

Marky GRISKY, actually. Jeremy Soule was a mixed bag for me. Some of his stuff was really boring, some was quite good. Bastila's theme, for instance. His NWN music I wasn't terribly impressed with either, but I think he was going too hard for "generic" rather than "unique" in that case. The worst it'll be is somewhat derivative, I think, or just not as moody. It'll definitely sound star-warsish, at least. He has plenty of credits for LA.
