Dumping your Per and Dex like that is going to give you an awful Reflex defense. Also offensively you might want to be more balanced your Dex is so low you will hit super slow. Enemy AI will disengage and ignore you. Up to you though if you have enough CC it wont matter. I like more balanced builds post 2.0.

Just keep it bumped they will get to it. Understand that patch 2.01 for the most part has been a disaster (the only bad patch really). I am sure they are up to their ears in work right now.

All healing spells always miss

Post a save with dropbox and your output log. I am not sure when durance heals my party it works. -
Playability after 2.0
Torm51 replied to fxluk's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
They don't ignore disengagement. If it sees that your accuracy/damage sucks they will ignore your engagement. So 2 Might Orlan tanks are worthless and your frontline fighters must be more balanced. Defensive but have Alpha Strike capability so that when the enemies get by them they can contribute to the punishing of and focus fire of the offender. It is very playable but 2.01 has been a VERY bad patch. The only bad one in my opinion. lots of bugs. -
I am of the personal opinion that that is a pre 2.0 thought process for tanks. You cannot stack deflection sky high anymore because of Perception change to Accuracy. You will never get a deflection above 170 (for PoTD) now without buffs and its temporary. Also the AI is much more inclined to shoot for your back line. If you are a hatchet wielding meatbag with no offense to speak of you are useless when this happens. I now build my tanks for very good defense but with the capability and talents to Alpha the living hell out of something when its either attacking my back lines or CCed. As a Paladin Fanatic I like carrying Shatterstar and a Greatsword for when I lose a enemy and it is attacking a softy. My back line focuses the offending enemy cc it and my tank takes part in alpha striking with flames of devotion and annihilating the offender (single target crits higher then 60 at level 6 from a tank is good). One thing I hated about my Paladin tanks pre 2.0 is that if I lost engagement on something there was very little I could do cause he was worthless offensively. I was like a fly when I was not engaged. Then we don't need 'tanks' but balanced frontliners. Are we obliged to use MMO terminology on these boards or what? Ya good point.

I cannot not take Righteous Soul. Like I hate it cause I always have to have it in a build. It is too good. It is like Ironwill in old school D and D...It makes your Paladin rock solid when it comes to Will CC. He is already going to have a high will but on PoTD this seals the deal. If you see a Will CC effect land a HIT on you after you get this it will be rare.

Gauns Share (Unique flail)?
Torm51 replied to wanderon's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Ya unfortunately I have 2.01 (Steam sad face) and can also confirm that mine has the drain effect as well. -
So basically I am looking for a max alpha weapon for FoD. Looking through the 2handers in the game I see that ravenwing has more top end damage then most 2handers. Also it's got the buff that gives you +4 acc and 25% More damage when attacking the same target as an ally. my Paladin has 10 Per although he is being buffed by Zealous Focus so his acc is average..what would be better for when I want to alpha strike with FoD and sworn enemy..a 2hander or Ravenwing single handed giving me a +12 acc (1 handed inate bonus) for my average acc.

This talent has NEVER worked on anything other then Vessels. I think they have either over looked it or at some point in the beta they left it just to do more damage against Vessels and never changed the tool tip. The reason I say the tooltip might not be updated is because if you look at the damage numbers it says Foe AEO (Only Vessels). If it is intended to damage Kith as the talent states it does need to be fixed.

[1.06] Paladin auras bug

Whats the point of this necro this was fixed in 2.0 -
To be honest though most of the order talents are no good other then the Darcozzi accuracy buff. Wayfarer talents are useful early game buy they don't scale. So when you have 200 endurance it will still heal for 20...which is a drop of your End.

Strange Mercy might not be that good with your build as with your low DEX you will not get very many killing blows. Maybe after you get FoD grab Sword and the Shepherd...or line up your FoD alphas for Strange Mercy.
-
Not bad. The 9 Con is going to hurt but if its for RP or you are ok with resting more it will work. Especially because you have 15 Might which will help your Fort defense. Not b ad at all. I am also playing a Wayfarer for the first time in this play through (Shieldbearer and Goldpact Knight previously).

Iconic Projection will heal every friend and hit every enemy on its path. Yes with targets that have low reflex or are CCed it hits VERY HARD. If you notice the damage on the combat log it is FREEZE damage that is not affected by DR. that's nuts. One my favorite spells. It also lets the Priest not get crazy close to melee and heal...unlike the others.

Perfect Setting for POE 2
Torm51 replied to Grimo88's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I actually researched a climate map of mexico, because your post made me wonder if Mexico actually does have Savannas. The answer is that it has a ton of dry grassy areas with a serious risk of fire, but it seems like few of them are flat. ftp://ftp.epa.gov/wed/ecoregions/cec_na/NA_LEVEL_I.pdf hah I need to study more Geography then!
