I love me some dwarves, but the hobbits/orlans trump them at the moment... Yeah, the game sells them short... Agreed. I mean they arent terrible as they are one of the only races that can start at a 20 Con and a high Might....there is one certain area in the game that is east of a certain place where like EVERY mob has poison...so it helps in one part of the game. Borreal Dwarf is a bit better as Wilder and Primoridals are common and they hit them hard. But still not the best.

All good questions. I am trying not to base my decision (still have some time im almost level 8 based on what other classes have cause most classes over lap on buffs they just don't over lap (as much) in what their core is. What they are good at. Some still do but not quit like buffs. Cause ya If I run Hiravias late game Hastening Exhort isn't as good when he has Natures Bounty...I have Pallegina with Liberating Exhoration and do run a Priest with Suppress Affliction (I am not Dacrozzi so no Acc buff) so grabbing that could be over kill. Reinforcing Exhortation sounds good and overlaps the least but yet again Circle or Protection buffs all defenses and I doubt it stacks with Reinforcing (reinforcing exhort is per encounter although priests get circle per encounter at 13). So I can either grab Sworn Enemy on a Frontline Paladin whose damage is OK at best. He is only really good at Alpha Striking CCed foes with FoD or wearing someone down 1v1. (hey its an upgrade my pre 2.0 tanks couldn't down anyone. so boring.) OR grab a buff that might overlap but hell so what. More haste, or suppressing debuffs or more deflection for tanks and Ituumak (who hits really damn hard now for some reason) cant be bad. The only Exhortation that I find as a MUST (in Trial of Iron and PoTD) is Reviving Exhortation. Which I got at 7. I don't think you can have enough of being able to get your friends back in the fight when you only have ONE chance at it. With my current set up I will have 3. Me, Pallegina and Durance.

PoTD. If you are a CRPG vet Hard isn't very different from normal. I am a CRPG guy too and started on hard. Did not die on my first play through. Once I started playing PoTD its a lot more of a challenge and I have had one Trial of Iron play through ended because I made the wrong decision. Its good.

I think I answered my own question as I was looking on the Wiki (I know its a bit outdated but someone updated some of it the other day) and I was looking at "attack speed" and it mentions Warbows, Hunting Bows etc I guess I get confused because some buffs specifically mention "Ranged Attack Speed" that makes me think that "attack speed" is just melee as I have not seen a buff that specifically states "Melee Attack speed"...but from what it looks like the buffs that say Ranged attack speed are tell that you that it only applies to ranged weapons where attack speed is for ALL weapons...sorry I have too much time at work haha Opinions?

As I said, if it wasn't for the Moon symbol I'd probably like them a lot more, it just throws me for some reason. Aumaua is a race I'd like to play but just don't seem to have gotten round to, though I much prefer Orlans because, well, I love the deranged little mad balls of fur! :D An Aumaua called Samson does sound very... appropriate. I really like Orlan as well. I prefer Wild Orlans they just look nuts! Lol I agree...A huge guy historically (not trying to get religious here just in the book he was a massive dude) and an American Football Offensive Lineman! makes sense! He is Samoan same flavor as the Amaua and they have my favorite teams colors..it Just kind of fell together lmao. He is a Kind Wayfarer (my first Wayfarer run through). Its cool going back to the old school good guy Paladin.

This is where we differ my friend. Aesthetically Moon Godlike are favorite. I like Godlike as a race the best. A close second is my Coastal Amaua who I named Samson named after an offensive linemen (former) for the Miami Dolphins who is Samoan...the Amaua are very Samoan like...he is also the same color as the Miami Dolphins unfortunately my favorite American Football team..he ties into the lore very well actally lol).

You do not start it with 2. After you get through the opening area you will run into a town. At that tavern or any tavern in Dyrwood the inn keeper will have an option for you to ask them if they know anyone that is looking for work. Select that option and it will take you to the custom party member character creator screen,

A brilliant idea

Solo runs will now be harder. The game is balanced around a party not solo runs (as awesome as they are).
