  1. This was never the case. Upgrading a 10/12 Exceptional weapon to Superb worked even in 1.0 The only change I noticed in enchanting is replacement. Earlier you could add lets say +2 INT (if that +2 INT wasn't there by default) to a piece of armor and later replace it with lets +2 CON. You can't replace your own enchantments anymore. No idea when this changed, but this is the only change I've noticed.
  2. The Merciless Hand, Dungeon Delver, Rabbit Fur Gloves and Azalin's Helm do work with spells. Weapon properties (the crit dmg property in question, as well as everything else) only apply when the weapon is used to deal damage.
  3. Exactly, you need to learn the oath before you can tell the door the opposite of it. Talk to the spirits again, you probably missed the one you need.
  4. Individual, if we are talking about spotting hidden stuff.
  5. Sort of. I guess it depends how you define doubled. Like someone said earlier, 2 50% chances ends up being a 75% chance total, rather than 100%. That's the chance of both of 'em procc'ing. It's like trying to roll a six on a d6. 3 dices... triple the chance. Rolling a 6 3 times in a row would be calculated the way you did it, which would be (1/6^3)%
  6. Is this related to the Schrodinger's Turn principle? This states that if a 'turn' and one copy of Pillars of Eternity are placed in a box, it could be both the current or next turn, and the only way of knowing which turn it is is to open the box. If you put it in a box it'll be both a turn and not a turn at the same time, because it'd be in a superstate and the only way to know is to open the box. On a more serious note, in my experience it's both progress and game time. Constantly resting for example will only trigger tax collection and the hireling paydays.
  7. There's another one in Concelhaut's, which is a low level one, level 1 or 2 which was added in patch 2.01 If you aquired the grimoir before patch 2.01 it's not there, you need to add another Ironclasped Grimoir. Edit: it's level 2. Concelhaut's version of Minoletta's Minor Missles called Concelhaut's Draining Missles.
  8. Pretty much. On my first playthrough I only used 1 sigil, took the mace and some huge traps appeared where I didn't use the sigils. It's not a big deal, but helps a bit against the dwarven spirits, not directly ofc, but you don't need to worry about the traps.
  9. You will be out of luck if you did everything else and have nothing else left. The staff is extremely tricky. The opponents required are immune to blunt damage, and the staff deals... *drummrolls*... blunt damage. If you really want these weapons you either wait for TWM P2 or start a new game. The only fool proof weapon is the estoc. I wish the others would be similar.
  10. He gets to choose at level 15 which is beyond the level cap atm.
  11. There are gloves with 3 DR bypass (Ryona's Vambraces) that are worth mentioning. A helmet with +3 Might and Retaliation (Garodh's Chorus) (has another variant) A helmet that grants +3 Might, +5 DR and -5 Def per kill (Tempered Helm) for 20 seconds and some static defenses A cloak with +10% ranged DMG, +6 acc against beasts and +3 Freeze DT (Cloak of the Frozen Hunt) These are the only ones worth mentioning imho. There are also some nice new weapons.
  12. I did the same thing on my very first play through: divide and conquer! It was a level 12 party with a fighter as main. With a level 14 party, a rogue as main and a much better party composition it was a piece of cake. I gave them a taste of their own medicine: AOE the hell out of 'em.
  13. We are talking about the same properties appearing twice on the same weapon. Examples: Resolution for example has +0.5 crit dmg, and then you get +0.3 crit dmg from refining. Rain of Godagh Field has +20% attack speed, and then you get +15% (iirc) attack speed from refining. There is nothing else to debate here.
  14. VA doesn't work with Twinned Arrows (which you'd want to go for with bows), so I'd stay away from it. Even before TWM I had a ranger with VA and a warbow and that alone was too damn slow with max DEX, I don't wanna imagine it with Penetrating Shot. Penetrating Shot with TA on the other hand would make a lot more sense. It'd be +10 damage on armored targets instead of just +5.
  15. I won't say there aren't any bugs, but I haven't experienced anything game breaking, which I can't say for a lot of other games. The worst I've had to deal with was the ambassador's dialogue glitch, but even that could be fixed by mashing the space bar. The 2nd very annoying, but still not game breaking thing I had to deal with was the draining enchantment being replaced by ambushing. That's pretty much all I can think of. Everything else is/was minor. I never experienced CTDs or bugs that prevented progression. You people should be thankful that OE isn't Ubisoft or EA. Their games are usually total garbage at day 1 and won't be 100% bug free ever. Have patience!
  16. You get whichever DB faction you supported, works with all 3 (never chose the Dozens, but it'd be silly if they were left out).
