  1. You aren't charged unless the goal is reached on Feb 24, 2017, so you won't be charged until then. So if you think you will have X amount of currency available for a pledge by Feb 24, I would just pledge.
  2. I assume Bell will be composing the music again, or at least I hope he will since that was one of the great elements of Pillars of Eternity.
  3. perhaps they will give us an option when we start the game, as they did in White March (whether to scale or not).
  4. Vulkan isn't a game engine, Unity is. The question then would be does Unity use Vulkan? I assume they are staying with Unity, looking at the screenshots I don't see differences.
  5. I like it, and given Josh's credo of making any build viable, there will be alot of work for people to do to make sure that each and every class combination is viable. Maybe they will end up limiting the multiclassing options to exclude ones that wouldn't work out well at endgame.
  6. perhaps they include NPCs with pets scattered throughout the game?
  7. Given that BG2 was referenced as one of the inspirations for POE, I would be very surprised if POE2 was not a higher level campaign.
  8. I pledged at the $45 level, considering investing as well but need to think about it. I assume the game will be profitable, just really unclear as to what the expected return on investment would be. It is really cool that Obsidian is giving us the option to invest though.
  9. Yes I would assume they have learned from their experience and already have everything worked out.
  10. Thanks for doing these streams, they are great.
  11. same as always, Severian, since this is the closest thing I'll ever see of an RPG set in the Book of the New Sun setting.
  12. I would much rather see Josh's pet project of an historical RPG set in the antebellum south over a Pathfinder RPG. Pathfinder to me is just not that interesting, being nu-D&D and all.
  13. after Pillars 2 I expect a Darklands-style historical rpg set in the middle ages (will it be early, middle, or late?)
  14. I like the way factions are implemented in Tyranny, although I feel they could be improved. I would like to see something deeper like how factions worked in FONV. One of Pillars weaknesses was that factions didn't seem to matter in the end.
  15. the game is fun, JESawyer would hate it!
  16. Tyranny all day everyday
  17. Some good points made about Paradox publishing the game. That might be a better route if they felt that backers hindered development in any way.
  18. Since crowdfunding gives them a boost to their development, giving them more resources to develop the game, I don't see any problem with using a mix of that and other sources. It's not like you're forced to pledge, you can always buy the game when it's released/when it is available for preorder. I just hope they don't add content like the backer NPCs again...
  19. I prefer how combat encounters are designed in turn based games. in RTWP so many times it's just, "here's a blob of enemies, kill them"
  20. too bad the media didn't give jill stein a chance to make her case. she would most certainly be president right now because everyone is reasonable right?
  21. Tyranny seems to have a very presciently timed release date given today.
  22. thanks cheeseheads.
  23. just wanted to post that I also answered that my preference is turn based. I played Wasteland 2 and really really enjoyed the combat. Turn based in an isometric RPG with a party just makes sense. If you are controlling a single character real time works, but with more than one character it becomes a micromanagement chore.
