  1. France - It's France. Like Quebec, nothing serious. Like two different teams talking smudge before the great game Hungary - Really, why are you part of NATO then? Austria - same Germany - same Poland - Oh really. Then why are they building a statue of Ronald Reagan (Yes, the same president as 'Iran-Contra' and supporter of the overthrowing of the sandinist government i Nicaragua!) in the capital? Russia - Putin wants to build a strong Russia with a semi-democratic government, think back Czar times. They need someone to compete on the geopolitical boardgame. Italy - Under this government they are more skeptic, but remember Berlusconi's support for Bush? + the country is pretty divided on the issue with everything from communists to fascists as major players in the elections. Malta - I have no data on their sentiments. Denmark - Then what the HELL are they doing in Iraq? Again, divided. Luxembourg - No data, a lot banks are there though. China - Totalitarian communists with free market. They HAVE to disapprove with the US politics. India - They usually have legitimate complain about the exploatation by foreign, US included, companies on their workforce. But i haven't heard about giant demonstrations against the US foreign policy though.
  2. Same here. Anyone with a sense of humor should watch it.
  3. Oh dear, when Fionavar sees this thread... First, maybe change the title. 'Hating' in terms of politics only serves as a flamebait. Maybe something in the vein of "US foreign policy and its implications" or such. Second, what where the metrics used for those polls? Did it take into account of different cultural behavioristics? Third, Saudi Arabia is not a democracy, Morocco, Indonesia and Jordan are democratic on paper, but not as enforced and embraced as western democracies. Russia is definitely heading towards fascism, not really reliable. Which means that polls in those countries can easily be manipulated. Canada? i really want to check that source. Quebec? They don't 'hate' America, it's more of a friendly neighborly bickering going back to 1800's, not hating. The current state of affairs gives them more fuel to mock their 'uncyltyyred, fat aumeerikaans'.
  4. Why are you offended as a muslim? That was interesting. I thought that you were talking about the phenomenon called terrorism, why personally be affected by it? No one here said that the terrorists where loopy because they were religious, more like they were f*cked up beyond recognition in their heads to begin with and how silly their reasoning is. If they were of Buddism, Hinduism, Taoism, Shintoism, Scandinavian Paganism or radical (insert political affiliation)-ism we would still mock them.
  5. Bin laden and alikes are using the frustration and sense of injustice caused by the foreign policy of the US and the western world to justify their own means. But that's not the only thing, throughout the middle east, propaganda against anything western and Israel has created a generation of people of hating everything of the non-muslim culture. The corrupt regimes of Egypt, Syria (Jordan to a somewhat degree), Iran and previously Iraq have used the jews and pretty much everyone else to blame for every problem that they are exposed to. Bush isn't the only one to blame. Hell, even before 9/11, he pretty much did nothing to anyone, domestic or foreign.
  6. Now you are on the right track. But the points you are making about the roots of terrorism are not unfamiliar at this forum. Everyone here knows about the actions of the CIA and the American foreign policy can make people a bit angry at best. We also know that Bin Laden-esque terrorism (or any form of terrorism and warfare) only makes things more unstable than they already are. The British certainly know it with their encounters with the IRA. Kaftan was just messing with you since you provided a somewhat fuzzy source, a lead singer of a rock band. Balancing on the fine line between knowing your enemy and sympathizing with it can lead to great confusion as well.
  7. They're up to build 0.8b3 now, but still at 19 issues. Invisible build-alternation ftw!
  8. Last I heard it was an elite with a 20GB hard drive. And puke-greenish by color? I would like to meet that designer, who thought that is 'looked cool' and the marketing guy who thought that it will sell greater than any other idea, and the financial analyst who was dumb enough to believe them both.
  9. Correction: Chinese have Triads. Japanese have Yakuza. Koreans and everyone else have their own gangsters. Everyone will own your ass, Jackie Chan-karate-style
  10. Bringing out the 'ole fat boy', what a cop out. Let's call on those Germans, feckin' nazi and stuff. Terrorizing freedom-loving Europe back in the 30's and 40's. Oh, and lets not forget the Japanese themselves, standing tall and mighty, driving out the evil white devil from Asia and giving the other Asians the freedom and liberty they wanted. Yeah, right. But you forgot one major thing, dear yuusha. The Presidents and generals later greatly regretted 'dropping the bomb', labeling it one the of the greatest tragedies of mankind. After Hiroshima and Nagasaki, not one bomb was used against any enemy or civilians. NOT ONE. Even Stalin and the commies were vary of using the great bomb. STALIN, remind you. But will those people who send their men, "whose great sacrifice for Allah will bring peace to earth", regret their wrongdoings? Will they acknowledge that hatred only leads to more suffering? Do they have the strength to what Ghandi, Luther King and similar have done? Resist without violence? I see no such thing. Face it, you can't compare ones suffering to the other. Especially when it comes to death. You have no moral superiority if you want to prove by death that one is the greater tyrant than the other. P.S. If you bring in Bush, Iraq, Israel and Palestine as an answer, then you missed the point entirely.
  11. My understanding is that Carth has to be in your landing party on Korriban the first time you land there, in order to get Dustil to appear. If Carth was in your group and Dustil still didn't show up then I dunno. You need to max out Carth's influence as well in order to trigger the event. A man should approach you with Carth in your party near any spaceport. Make sure that Carth has spoken in beforehand about his son, or the event will not trigger.
  12. Core = No HDD = Tard model. Premium = 20GB HDD = Most bang for the buck, as they say. Recommended. Elite = Not l33t at all. The PS3 has a blu-ray player, Wi-Fi, card reader and 5 movies for free for 20$ more. Next month when Halo 3 arrives, there should be a model based on that game as well. But i don't know about the technical specifications on that one.
  13. Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I just finished the first level and was awarded as 'Master Ninja'. I am death incarnate
  14. Same here, and no problems as well. But i live in icy Finland, where there's zero chance of overheating.
  15. Hmm. When buying imported, american t-shirts i usually go with the 'Large'-option. On the other hand, i'm 188cm tall (6'2") and i weigh 90kg (~200lbs), where does that put me on american standards? Fatty, fat, fat, fat?
  16. True, their whiskers are hypersensitive when it comes to any change in air pressure.
  17. Heavenly sword comes out september 4th, so i got my bases covered. Yay!
  18. Beyond3d XbitLabs - eDRAM for AA? Nice feature. - Onboard audio? What? The rest is expected from a second-generation dx10-card.
  19. Are you rocking like MEN?!
  20. That wouldn't surprise me, our cat usually acts very friendly when someone's sick at the household.
  21. The income tax is a federal tax. It goes to the federal govenment. It uses that money to fund the military, space program, homeland security, there are thousands of programs. National Parks, HUD, Welfare, FCC, FAA, TSA, resource explorations, the list goes on and on. Now i understand more on your anti-government sentiments I understand the military, space program and homeland security. But the rest? That could easily be done on a state level. I really feel sorry for you. If the same model would be applied to the EU, people would be hanged.
  22. This sounds weird, you have the same amount taxes compared to what your income (18%-56%) as in most of Europe. There's also capital gain tax (Which means that if i sell my stocks, i have to pay 22% tax on it. I haven't sold one single one yet ) But what i don't understand is the property tax, if that funds your local governments, basic service + that little single-digit extra for social security, what is the point of income tax then? Where does that go?
  23. I am sure Buddha has a secret soul reserve bank. Some souls turn into hollows too and then eat other souls. You simply can't manage without some sort of backup. No worries, Zaraki Kenpachi will put those hollows to rest
  24. I've never tried a mile, but i did the 'Cooper test' when i was in the army, which means to run as fast as you can within 12 minutes. I did 2720 meters = about 1.69 american miles.
