It just feels like cheating to me. I usually see difficult aiming as a part of the game, otherwise i wouldn't even bother playing games like Halo or Gears of War on the Xbox.

Can you turn off auto-aim? Such things usually keep me away from the console-version of any game(despite having surround-sound and a HDTV).

IIRC, for example hacking on the Xbox is just procentual success rate (Press X to hack), while on the PC it actually includes som pseudo-hacking, where the amount of skillpoints (or whatever they have) determines how easy it will be for the player. Small things such as those make me want to play the PC version instead

If people are claiming GOTY(pretty silly, actually) on the Xbox-demo, how about the full game on the PC? More RPG-elements, mods and better UI + DX10. Will that make it GOTD? (=Game of the decade?)

Reading through the bug-reports at mantis, one quickly notices about one third of all issues goes like this: "This shouldn't have happened, module x doesn't load and conversation y fails to initiate" and the answer is "What? not in my game. I've tried it several times, but the bug doesn't seem to appear for me"

My favorite is probably Khelgar, not only because of the character, but also for being almost the only one who had a complete story written for him. But i also have a soft-spot for Ammon Jerro's resolve.

In our household we have 2 PC's, an Xbox, a Playstation 1, a Playstation 2, a Playstation 3, an Xbox360 and a Wii. We love gaming and play games us much as possible. Currently, she is playing Jade Empire: Special Edition on the PC and i am having fun with Ninja Gaiden. I am currently looking forward to Bioshock, and she can't wait for Rogue Galaxy and Mass Effect. Fanboys of any platform lose, gamers win. KTHXBYE!!!oneone

I am very sceptic about these 'early reviews', they tend to inflate their score alot. Ironically, the 'warez'-community has the most honest reviews. A great example was Oblivion, which got blazing reviews from left and right, while pirate-forums stated that the novelty quickly weared off, the level-system was bad, the A.I. shallow and so on. Guess which one that was right. On the other hand, Half-Life 2 got great reviews from the illegal community. Several polls where made, where as much as 70-80% said that they will buy it and recommend it to others. Usually, 'big games' such as those that the gaming press loves, gets something between 10-25%.

I can recommend Elfen Lied. The first four chapters are a bit eff, but it picks up later on. Highly recommended

I don't think Kiruna has cameras yet. In fact, I don't think they have electricity yet. The polar bears ate all the electricity. No matter. Agreed. HL1 always felt like an X-files episode with a pretty bland color-palette. HL2 did create an alternative, but interesting future after the events of HL1.
