And Russia will be in the top 5, like they have in the recent 5 or so years.

NO WAI When you were really young, it was robots and mechas. "That is for grown-up, pweh!", you say. When you got older and being a teen, it was metal or anything else that didn't resemble the Eurovision, "That is for the common pleb, who lack any taste and soul. I'll rather listen to something real! Revolution! Vote with a bullet!", you say. Then you get older and go to university or collage when either are too drunk to watch it (like me), or boycot it because reasons beyond rational thought, like it "being anti-woman" or "Music for those without any decency or intellect", you might say. Then you finally grown old enough to find it interesting, since it is one of the few shows that aren't dull in your ordinary life, with your ordinary job, living in your ordinary neighbourhood, with your ordinary friends. THAT IS THE ATOMIC, SUBATOMIC, AND GALACTIC ORDER OF THINGS TODAY

Red Alert always had that "AWESOME" sticker to it. I mean, even look at the intro of the . Metal music + war in games= AWESOME to the max. The main title is even called "Hell March", awesome, awesome..... ...awesome.

I cared little about when i was younger, but in recent years i've developed an interest for it. I still remember my parents watching it as a kid, leaving me wondering "When i enjoy that kind of entertainment, then i'll be old. Now, where's my Optimus Prime and other Transformers?". I've become an old fart

Speaking of which, the second semi-final has started. To my delight, the girls have even less clothes on this year
-
Hey, at least they got to the finals

Excellent game actually, i would've expected less from a final with these two teams though. Of some reason, most i remember from the game was Terry crying

Knew about him and did nothing : According to that tape, yeah. But that is in 1996, when he actually haven't done anything to american interests. He hadn't even issued his fatwa against every american, christian and jew on the planet yet. Even if he knew that the guy was a potential threat to the states, but on what basis would've Clinton got him arrested/kidnapped/assassinated? Given the atmosphere back in the 90's with all the complaints about presidential powers, it probably was seen as political suicide to issue assassination here and there.

Ah, Painkiller was really fun in a homicidial way. Especially the Painkiller itself, i spent hours of fun with that one, trying to figure out different ways the enemies bodyparts would fly off. The end level was EPIC. I definately don't remember the story though.

Sounds strange that they managed to make the camera even worse

Since i recently discovered this thread, i will contribute to it with a very nagging tone: "Where's the trailer?!"

From what i understand, the PC install base is abysmal in the US, compared to Europe at least. Look at S.T.A.L.K.E.R., selling 1.6 million within the PAL area, and this is without any anti-piracy mumbo-jumbo. Console players are a stronger segment of consumers when it comes to consuming power, but what has that to do with anti-piracy again? Not much.

PC Gaming suffers from the distributor's own incompetence on getting more gamers to buy their games. Developers have little to say on copy-protection matters. As we all know, piracy has already destroyed the music and movie industry, with thousands unemployed and studios shut down, leaving only smaller and unknown distributors alive....barely Btw, here is some information for a tracker, from a source i refuse to give. But as you can see, the stats for the amount seeds for Xbox 360, with an install base of ~19 million. And lower, you see the current stats on the PC platform, which has a much, much larger install base than the Xbox 360. This is by no means a repesentational for all piracy, but you see the trend. Xbox 360 Game Platform Seeds Leechers Grand Theft Auto IV NTSC XBOX360 657 15 Grand Theft Auto IV MULTI5 PAL XBox 360 626 12 The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian XBox 360 254 12 PC Assassins Creed REPACKRELOADED in Windows 1214 5809 Assassins Creed REPACK-RELOADED in Windows 982 14 GTA San Andreas in Windows 962 2816 And oh, look at the titles. As you see, these are the ones that is really suffering from piracy. GTA IV has sold roughly 7.5 million on all platforms so far. Assassin's Creed? Try 4-5 million. We should be feeling really sorry for those guys, look at all the lost revenue!

Do it already. No other series actually celebrates heroism, over-the-top action and homo-erotisism. It's not great or magnificent. It is epochal. It's positivism incarnate. "The heavens are not the limit! I pierce through them!" Oh, and i definately need to watch amatsuki. Anything resembling Juuni Kokuki is an instant win for me.

Bioware - Are Their Games Actually That Good?

The only one not liking the KotORs is Volourn, the rest are either neutral or slightly positive or even fanboys (like me). -
Oh heavens, that surely doesn't sound like a 10/10 game!

Yes, and quality is what separates them. So far at least........ What are some console RPGs? Prime examples would be the various JRPGs that get imported. JRPGs ARE NOT INFERIOR!! i thank kingcomrade at the 'codex for such nice illustration of nerdrage -
While the link that Guard Dog posted was thought-provoking, i can't help thinking that it would require an American President to declare himself Skeletor for a lifetime until there's an actual nationwide surge for less presidential power.

Hmm, i have been gone a couple of days. Bachelor's party and such take a toll on a person, i guess (no, i wasn't the "lucky" one). Anyhoo, i find it interesting with the argument about 10 days "being nothing". Most people don't play their games that often, where there even could be up to a month between the computer at home being on or off, as in the laptop is for work related, and you have your stationary one for movies, music and games. Also, if someone is in the middle of a move, or have to change their ISP, which would also take up to 3-4 weeks. And since a new motherboard or a harddrive will require a fresh installment of windows, your computer will probably be ranked as "new" as well, leaving your copy locked after a couple of voluntary and nonvoluntary upgrades. And ofcourse the second-hand market will hate this. There's too many variables left unsolved in EA's and SecuROM's wonderful equation of anti-piracy measures. Also, getting a constant "online" ADSL or optic fibre is only a truth if you live in non-rural areas. It seems like their focus groups and marketing segmentation studies have been focused on people living in major cities on the american west or east coast, which is a quite the narrow one indeed. But there's always the wonderful support line, those always work indeed-i-ooo. Or one just buys the copy of ME and downloads the cracked binary and play. This leaves everyone happy

My copy of EDGE magazine came in the mail today. They were pretty mesmerized by it. They gave it a perfect 10.

Bioware - Are Their Games Actually That Good?
Meshugger replied to Humodour's topic in Computer and Console
That doesn't make any sense. "You like X and I don't, we must be from different cultures." Having a different opinion doesn't make you part of a separate culture. Having this view requires you to choose to ignore those that contradict it, like the ones from Krookie and me. Claiming a load of nonsense is just an opinion doesn't stop it from being a load of nonsense. For me, video games are toys for child-men who lack the ability to grow up, nothing more. Then you're getting infuriated by something that exists only in your imagination. The reason being that all 360 games have achievements, thus no one would ever ask this question. Individuals with backgrounds from different cultures have different opinions on life, happiness and on what's right and wrong. Makes perfect sense. Those who disagrees with me on this forum aren't the ones that i am talking about, you know that. I don't understand the last paragraph though, why do you claim that somewhat that i've seen on various gamingforums, and other forums + in real life is just my imagination? Point being, reading and hearing from numerous people that it is good that Bioware has included achievements in their games, as in it their favourite moments in a game is completely alien to me. Bioware should focus more on developing better characters and story, and hire a better interface-designer. -
