Internet to reach saturation capacity by 2010
Optical fibre is being build everywhere here now. By june i will have my 100mbit connection And yeah, the oil is running out, the seas are being overfished and food prices are going through the roof. Worrying about the Internet is pretty low on my list.

US Supreme Court to Decide if Child Rapists May Be Executed
I am against death penalty by principle. So whether they should be put down or not is not an issue, rather if prison will do any good as the problem lies in something primitive and powerful as your own sexuality. Prison should be an institution of rehabilitation for the inmate, in order to be fit for society once he or she has served their sentence. But in this case, i have no idea whether they should be put in a mental institution for life or a long prison sentence with rehabilitic programs.

Yeah, you mentioned one MAJOR drawback with all Apple MP3-players. Now, please feel free to explain the advantages of Ipods that somehow makes them ten times better than say, oh: The Iriver Clix 2 8GB.. Or.. Creative Zen 32 GB.. Both these players support more formats than any Ipod, they have better screens (both are OLED), the Clix 2 is prettier (debatable) and the both cost a LOT less than any comparable Ipod. It annoys me to no end this unsubstantiated hype surrounding everything Apple. Buying an Apple product is like joining a cult and actually enjoy throwing your money away on nothing. Read some books about marketing, segmentation, target and focus groups and branding. Technology has nothing to do with it.

Playing video games for boys is a sign of social competence.
You sound like my parents. You're on the right path As with violent games, kids (boys really) aren't even interest in such things, as in "Hehe, look at all that blood, kewl!", until puberty sets in with all the testosterone pumping in their veins.

M4-78 mod discussion
I downloaded the mod and tried to listen to the audio-files. Aside of Vash, Kreia and Sion, which lines are redone by the modder? Pretty hard to tell actually. I haven't bothered to play it yet though, too much IRL happening atm.

Zero Punctuation - Yahtzee reviews
I pretty much agree there, the labs in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. shared the same suspense as in System Shock 2. There was no "safe" place, the whole environment was against you, and nothing was taken for granted. Shameful on the Condemned 2 review though. The "Fahrenheit syndrome" can pretty negate any possibility of purchase for me.

Anime recommendations: Part 2
Gromnir sure makes the strangest of bets. Sorry, but i know little about new series that are starting this spring. But anything made by Madhouse (Death Note, Claymore) could be interesting.

Anime recommendations: Part 2
The ending of Darker than Black left a very sour taste in my mouth. Everything was going fine until a certain female showed up. Anyhoo, i have little interest in this prequel, eventhough there should be at least some interest.

US Presidential Elections
Politicians who tell the "truth" are never elected, since they tell people what they don't want to hear.

Lulz inbound!
After reading some of those previews, well...It seems like Fallout 3 is to Fallout 1&2, as Alien vs. Predator(the movie) was to either Predator or Alien. *sigh* Why do i even bother?

Torture!
This is too much. Considering what a huge progress mankind has done in the last 100 years, we suddenly don't know?! whether torture is "ok" or even worse: "Maybe it works if we torture a little bit? You know, in a more humane way, like waterboarding." Of course torture is not "ok". What's the matter with you people?

The Byron Review
Information is free and the Internet is a major provider of that. Parents should not spoil their kids and warp their world view into a Disney-movie. If the parent/child can't deal on what's going on the real world, they shouldn't be on the 'Net. Besides, most "harmful" information to children have to be actively searched, it's not something that you just stumble upon. Information wants to be free [/hippiepost]

Biggest nonsense you've ever seen from a game.
Go to Citymarket or Prisma. I found my copy 6 months ago for 9,90

Final Fantasy VII,a game with bad graphics but great gameplay
You're dead to me, Nick! I hate my father! *stamps foot like a 12 year old* No wait, I really don't, I love my father, I just miss him and wish he hugged me more as a child! All the other characters + the whole culture of Spira made FFX into a good game, not Tidus, IMO. And i really don't like the ATB-system, so the turn-based combat system was a welcome change. And the music was top-notch, as always.

New Fallout 3 screens
Excellent post. It will sell 1 million because of it being juvenile though.

The PS3 Thread of Butterflies and Lollipops!
I never cared for rumble. Actually, when playing Lost Odyssey on the Xbox 360, it's borderline annoying. But this is the PS3 thread, so no matter. Currently, i am playing Guitar Hero III every now and then. Still waiting for a decent jRPG for it (White Knight, Last Remnant, Final Fantasy XIII, where art thou?).
