  1. Hmmm. What ever happened to "We will never work on another KotOR again!"
  2. If he gets either Texas or Ohio on march the 4th, then this might turn into something interesting.
  3. And from what i've heard, it was about Bioware compromising between no load times (=texture pop-ups) and load times (= no texture pop-ups). This is due to the lack of HDD on the Xbox360 that made them stream the textures from the disc. With a HDD, there shouldn't be any problems, fortunately
  4. My guess for recommended requirements: - Intel Quad-Core or similar processors - 2 GB RAM - DirectX 10 graphic card with 512MB memory (GeForce 8800 GT or higher) - 12GB freespace on HDD - Internet connection for online registration (same as Bioshock).
  5. Oh, goddammit.
  6. One of the best ever made. Too bad they never finished the whole anime though, it's not an abrupt ending, but at its current condition, it leaves many questions unanswered.
  7. I think this needs a seperate thread: Optimized for the PC, Mass Effect for the PC incorporates the following features: * Optimized controls designed specifically for the PC. * High resolution visuals
  8. If Obama wins the democrat election, then he should choose Gravel or Kucinich as VP. Atleast those two seems to have the integrity to tell lobbyists, and other politicans who are in bed with them, to go **** themselves (in a kind and polite manner of course).
  9. Why did they get the "nay"? They are superior in every way to the final one.
  10. So, we get woman in DA that don't look like your average pop-star chick covered with some medieval armor. We get real woman! Nice and curvy with broadswordes, instead of thin and skanky with cokelines. Bioware has my support on this, indeed-eo
  11. - "No Country for old Men" 9/10. Simply an excellent movie. Even without a sountrack, the movie kept me on its toes. Coen brothers have yet not dissapointed me. - "Superbad" 7/10. Suprisingly good, even though the two cops stole the show. - "Pan's Labyrinth" 9/10. Probably the best film of 2006, the oscar should've gone to this movie instead of The Departed.
  12. A classic case of cognitive dissonance.
  13. Oh, what a suprise.
  14. Damn straight. I don't get why people accuse businesses of being greedy because heaven forbid they want to make money, especially concerning luxury items, yet fail to see how greedy they are being themselves by accusing the company of taking from them something that was never theirs. When you buy a game you get what's on the disc, you don't earn the right to any and all content they might have made during the production of the game. Ehum, remember the '90's on the PC's? Game studios such as Id and Epic were releasing new levels and characters in patches that included way more content than this one for ME, and for free! The reason was simple: They thought that this was expected by the consumers, and charging extra would be downright silly. One could say that creativity took the front seat of the car, and business the back seat. But things have changed now. Business is trying to get to the front seat, and creativity is slipping back. "Hippie" business practices of the old days are gone with the arise of micro-transactions and LIVE subscriptions. My point is, that less content will be in included in the games in future, since it will be planned from the beginning that they will be released as micro-patches. Side-quests will become less and episodic gaming will win more ground. What a waste of creative resources, IMO. /me rolls a joint and picks up an guitar, singing Bob Dylan for himself...
  15. Why do you assume this DLC was content that was originally meant as part of the game but taken away and held back in a greedy attempt at getting more money, and not content that was made specifically as a mini expansion pack? Working in the software industry has given me enough suspisions about this. It is simply a part of the businessplan to delay the release of certain components in order to release them later, all in all to maximize profit on their investments. Usually, people from the finance and marketing departments call this to empower the consumer, giving him/her more choices. Nothing more, nothing less. MotB was certainly treated as such, but not entirely either, since it had almost enough content for a game on its own. Or, we can just call it greedy, depending on how you see it
  16. Why take away content? Please specify what you really mean. Do not concern yourself on what i think am entitled to, my dear
  17. "Juno" Probably the most pretentious, hipster "har-har, look how clever dialogue we have"-film that i've seen in a long time. This movie was so full of itself that nothing was interesting about it. One-dimensional characters? You got it! Uninteresting dialogue? You got it? Most over-rated movie of 2007? You got it! What the hell was Hollywood thinking?
  18. It's a nice business solution in order to generate extra revenue. If i would work or have money invested in Bioware, i would applaud it. But in my eyes as a gamer, it should've been included in the original game. Seems like a shallow and cold attitude to milk money from gamers.
  19. ^In response to the picture above. Monster: "Pardon me, my good sir, but could you tell me what time it is?" Mr. Tank: "No"
  20. Pretty good review, as in entertaining review. But i never cared for CoD 4 anyway, and this review didn't get me any more interested either.
  21. I think that WITHTEETH wants some governmental oversight in Wall Street in terms of regulation and oversight in order to prevent over-speculation, not nationalizing the companies themselves. Maybe a legislative change on business practices perhaps? If i was a US citizen, i would vote for Obama. McCain sounds like a "sensible version" of Bush, Huckabee is basically Bush 3.0, Romney is a businessman with some interest in politics, and Ron Paul is radically different than the rest. Hillary is a career politician through and through. Like how everyone should have health-insurance (people cheer yay!), but the insurance-companies control on how this i implemented in practice (individual choice gone, companies cheer yay!), and in the long run, everyone loses. She isn't even left-wing, she is pro-corporatism which is a threat that any conservative or liberal hates for the same reason: It is fascism. Obama seems like the most harmless of them (gut-feeling though). My favorite candidate would have Ron Paul's fiscal policy and Kucinich's social and constitutional policy, but such a person is like a total free market or communism: It's just wishful thinking.
  22. Eh, nevermind. I just realized that they check my name AND social security number in order to get a match. And since everyone has a social security number in this socialistic heaven of ours, there's no need for a seperate registration Carry on, nothing to see here (Except for the documentary, highly recommended).
  23. Is it a "state vs federal"-issue that makes it so complicated? And where i live, i get a "call of voting"-card with information on the where i should vote (after one turned 18 ofcourse), where i show my identification and i get a ballot, and my name i marked as "have voted" in their registry. Whether i cast my ballot or not is up to me, i have still voted in the eyes of electorial commission (or whatever it is called).
  24. Register to vote? What kind of red tape is that? Maybe i don't understand how the procedure of voting is in different states in the US, but shouldn't a card of identification be enough? Anyhoo, point being is that voterfraud is always possible, but electronic is still more vulnurable to tampering, and it is more expensive as well. Paper ballots still work the best for the time being.
  25. Poor taste doesn't excuse insulting my perfect sanity Only NWN 1 OC is worse than Mass Effect. Dragon Age will rule them all.
