  1. Hopefully it will be hub-based, like it was in The Witcher or Bloodlines. I think that is the maximum size before the quality of the content starts to suffer. Pulling of an Oblivion or Gothic isn't exactly Obsidian's "style" of game-development either.
  2. To quote the girlfriend in the house: "I can't play as a female character? What the frell is that poo about?" She still refuses to play Torment for that mere reason, but it's her loss anyway.
  3. Taxi Driver. Anyone living in a big city should watch this. Scrap that, anyone familiar with detachment to society should watch this. Oh, scrap that again, anyone should watch this. Excellent movie through and through.
  4. Probably it will be The Witcher-style, not even godesses can help to fall for his manliness.
  5. I am not suprised, if Hillary somehow fails to do her dirty work right, just wait for what will happen this summer and fall. The gloves will come completely off the anti-Obama machinery.
  6. ^Because Kenshin is too cool for Golf-balls Looking at the mantis bugtracker, i one will quickly notice that there are several bugs in the process, about 80 so far, that has been closed due to no one else being able to reproduce them. So it isn't just the game that was bugridden and unpolished, they also have to tackle an unpredictable engine. Great job so far though, considering the comments from the beta-testers.
  7. NightandtheShape's hate for the FF-series are borderlining paranoia. Come on now, there are several games that we don't like, but hating them with a fury that would put the RPGCodex to shame is just silly. FFVII had several "What the Hell"-moments, but all and all, it was pretty good game. Just like every other FF's that i played (FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX). Except for FFXII, which i dislike with a passion. The story is uninvolving, the characters come of as pretentious clowns, especially Larsa, and the soundtrack is very generic for a FF-game. Add that level-grinding is a must, i couldn't even finish the thing. Point being, i know that there are several people that loved the gameplay it had, and even praised it as a game that put the FF-series in the right direction. Naturally, i disagree with them, but i wouldn't label them as emo-furries that should be exterminated either. Same goes with Mass Effect. Most people here like it and find it as a step in the right direction, while i really don't like. But i haven't gone troll-mode on them for liking it for such a mundane reason.
  8. "Thou shall not craft too little crates, lest ye want to face the wrath of the common berk" It's on the door outside their HQ. True story.
  9. None of them stand a chance to the almighty Sean Connery.
  10. I definately hope so. Look what he did to Deus Ex.
  11. I wouldn't be suprised by the Bourne-references. Thorton looks a bit like Matt Damon after all.
  12. Will it be like Deus Ex? Difficult to target when lacking pistol (marksman?) skill? Localized damage? Etc, etc...
  13. Stupid ratings. Don't let that be a part of the design plan. Content shouldn't be jeopardized by some silly people's sense of morality. /hippie post.
  14. YES! And explosive ones, filled with radioactive waste. Can easily be found anywhere, from the administrations office to the coffeeroom.
  15. o.o; Any translated version for dummies? = A facial generator is not difficult to make by itself. The difficulty lies in how it will work in the game, collusion detection and such. As an example, imagine someone designing a head with the size of 2m radius. How will that interact with the environment? How will the character to be able to get through doors? Also, how will the facial animations be compatible with a head of that kind of dimensions? etc, etc...
  16. I really like the artistic direction this game has. Also, being a tactical RPG makes it even better. Definately a something that i will buy.
  17. Who also did Wacka in Final Fantasy X, an RPG, from Japan. You hear that Kaftan? From Japan. Anyhoo, this is about as off-topic we can go before Steve locks this thread up. Numerous of Obsidian employees have read this thread without commenting, so it looks like the NDA hasn't been lifted yet.
