  1. Hah, that's a matter for the courts!
  2. Come to think of it, i actually own a piece of land on the moon. Hopefully i will be able to visit it within my lifetime. Or even better, i could make some serious cash by leasing it to some prospective entrepreneurs. After all, it is pretty near the Apollo 11 site. Maybe they will build a themepark there or something.
  3. Eh, so what's the verdict fellas? 1) Not enough data for conclusive evidence? 2) The evidence is there for one thing or the other, but being manipulated by industralists and politicians alike for gains in power and money? 3) We should let the good times roll, the evidences are right in front of us; we have zero impact on the climate change. Spew out more CO2-emissions. Drill, baby, drill! 4) We should change our ways, the evidence is right in front of us; we need to drasticly drop all emissions. Combustion engine-technology needs to replaced by something else. All plastics and other oil-based products need to be replaced by some new technology. 5) The **** has hit the fan, the only thing that can save us, is to start living like the Ewoks.
  4. I suggest that we trade weather with each other, like they do at the copenhagen meeting. Carbondioxide-caps and all that, i think
  5. While we're having fun with local data, i can present some fun facts on white christmasses on where i live. When i was a child, it was always a lot of snow on christmas, the question was more on how cold it would be. Recently, we have had two christmasses in a row where there wasn't any snow at all, which is the first time since the recordings started. On one of those, we also had a recordbreaking warm christmas eve (+7 C). During christmas last year, we got a lot of snow a few days before the 24th, but it melted quickly away before new years eve. As of this date, we hardly have had any snow yet and subsequently barely any days at all with minus centigrate temperatures.
  6. That's all I'm interested in. This is why women in the Islamic world wear hajib, by the way. I think it says more about the men. They simply lack the the fortitude and control of their own sexual desires that they have to cover up their women for their own safety. Pathetic.
  7. That's wonderful news!
  8. Australians must have whole lot patience for putting up with crap like that.
  9. My advice is to leave it until you are level 12 or so at least. Morrigan won't bug you about it for a while anyway. I've played that battle on Easy, Normal and Hard, always with Wynne and her spell selection isn't really optimal for the challenge. In fact, as long as you don't go completely crazy I see no shame in Re-Speccing Wynne and giving her at least one elemental damage spell tree. Thanks, i was under the impression that the mission was really urgent.
  10. Finished Kotor 2 last week with the restoration contend mod *awesome* I am now playing Dragon Age.
  11. So, have i messed up my encounter with I have Wynne with me, but alas, i have no frost-spells in her spellbook. I have no equipment that guards against fire for that matter. My party is more or less wiped out within 30 seconds. Should i just save this for later? My party: - Me, a lvl 9 rogue. - Sten - Alistair - Wynne. Difficulty: Normal.
  12. Has Valve actually released any raw numbers on x amount of sales they have on Steam? Have they released any info regarding the ROI (Return of Investment) for each product that available through Steam?
  13. I've been to London three times in my life: In 1991, 1999 and in 2003. Every single time I've had a hard time to meet a "real" londoner (i actually ventured as far as Hammersmith!), everyone seems to be from somewhere else than London itself. And you guys are living very packed as it is, sheesh! Bear in mind, i've been to New York as well and they do not live nearly as crowded as you guys.
  14. I wasn't talking about how it would appeal to you, i was presuming on how it would appeal to him
  15. Really? I mean we still had segregated schools in the 50's. I know Leave it to Beaver and The Andy Griffith Show make it seem like some idyllic wonderland, but it was really a terrible time for civil rights in the US. The seventeeth century was an awesome time if you were a french aristocrat. It all depends on what part of society you belong to. From what i gather, the 50's USA was awesome if you were a white, christian, and heterosexual male. The women knew their place and were there just to treat you like a king. The minorities were there for your entertainment only, but never near you. **** were ashamed of themselves and hid their sexuality by the best they could. When in times of war, everyone joined and they only question was whether if you did your duty enough or not. The workplace was filled with the likes of you and the sky was the limit. There was no uprising, or social disorder. Only backbone, discipline and hard work. Everyone dressed and had haircuts like a gentleman, and not like some lower-class ruffian of today. Something in the vein of that, i presume.
  16. I'd have to agree. Right now free unrestricted access to infomation via the web is still common enough in all but the most restrictive countries. But with the US (since the new admin came into power) and UK starting to take measures to censor web content and restrict access to certain web sites I think we are quickly beginning to move away from that. I think more and more over the coming years we'll see governments trying to limit the information it's citizens can reach in the name of "fairness" and "balance". "Fairness" and "balance" are the last steps, i think. The first steps are always the ones that one cares for one bit; First, it is the racists and other extreme bits of society, this is pushed from the government. Then, industry sees no reason for the end-user to be able to surf to what he wants indiscrimenately. I mean, why should the same amount of bandwidth be reserved for some guys' webpage as to youtube.com? With the government pushing from one side and the industry finding more cost-effective solutions of the other, you'll get the amalgam of the worst: International and global agreements between the industries and the governments on the Internet should be handled. After that, in the name of diversity, multiculturalism, human rights and most likely by bureaucratic incompetence, most sites are banned. In order to satisfy the opposition, the government allows "dissedent" opinion in the name of "fairness" and "balance", which undermines the point further. Meanwhile you pay, like with pay-per-view, for access to a certain amount of sites. The ISPs has shrunk to 5-10 in the western hemisphere, consisting of the EU and USA, all of which getting tax reductions and extra government funding for keeping up the "balance" of information. Meh.
  17. In terms of the internet, we are still living in a golden age, but we are at the end of it. Like the radio and TV, it will go from being bidirectional to monodirectional in terms of communication.
  18. Who was that? Another guest reviewer?
  19. Divorcee? I thought they stoned women instead in those parts. Obviously the pirates or not the Sharia-law-abiding citizens. The wahabbi-nuts are another group of people that are busy pestering the landcrabs. Kind of funny when you think of it, pirates being socially more progressive and all.
  20. Hahahahaha
  21. Been playing as a human noble going rogue for 8-9 hours or so. Some impressions: The good: - Partymembers. Fantasy is a pretty juvenile setting in itself, but the characters do not behave like they are written by a 14-year old. There's actually some mature behaviour going on. Me likey. - The combat (Finally a game with interesting and tactical combat, i don't even know when i enjoyed the combat of an RPG the last time. Bravo, Bioware). - Story so far. - The sense of scope the engine can create by generating wast landscapes. - Sleek menu The bad: - The silly british accents that only exist in Dickens novels. - The colorpalette. It is like it is run through a brown filter. - Even at the highest setting, it seems like all the textures are still blurry. I do not know if it is the game itself or a driver issue with my graphics-card. The Ugly: - The Blood. Argh! It seems like it was put there in a rush. It is not the amount of blood that i am talking about, rather it being badly designed and esthetically very displeasing.
  22. Heh, if the referendum went according to those tendencies, then it is no wonder they voted no. (It is just a building, folk! In the end, no one has any authority of the others mind) Those in favor of banning it seemed to have been working hard to point out that they are not banning "another religion", rather they were banning the Sith or something.
  23. Is TESV even in development?
