  1. Eh, it'd be more accurate to say that metaphysics is anything that isn't real (by scientific standards). Edit: Actually, I take that back. It's kinda hard to explain (especially at 3AM). Metaphysics is an attempt to explain what is real but what we can't perceive, as such. Magic, for example, is metaphysics as it cannot be explained with scientific terms under the reality as we perceive it.
  2. Strictly speaking, any religion in the traditional sense involves metaphysics. Not much help there.
  3. It does have a lot in common with Taoism, actually, in the whole force flowing through everything and you just play along etc. (grossly simplified, I know, but I have no intention to discuss Taoism at 2:30AM so you'll have to excuse me).
  4. Empire Strikes Back left me thinking "what will happen?". KotOR2 left me thinking "what the hell just happened?". ESB was a cliffhanger, true, but it managed to tie everything in the movie together at the end. KotOR2 didn't, it just left a bunch of loose ends.
  5. I have absolutely no idea. The information we're given about Revan's strategic skills is essentially: "He's great". Not much to work with there.
  6. I found the combat quite boring. Spam the strongest attack you have, and then it's just a matter of comparing stats. No skill or strategy worth mentioning involved, except switching to melee/ranged once in a while. Even playing Diablo as a melee fighter was more exciting, and that is arguably one of the worst and most boring way to fight in gaming history.

  10. Uh, I didn't find it that difficult... Just hit as many accelerator pads as possible early, change gears whenever you need, then keep jumping over stuff in your way when you've reached the max speed.
  11. Actually, about ugly women, funny story. Bud Grace (the guy behind "Ernie") originally made Doris, Ernie's girlfriend, quite... unattractive. You know, no curves, thick glasses etc. The thing is, the American readers didn't like it. So Doris gradually became more and more attractive (by the cartoon standard, of course). She got curves, gone are the glasses, smoother face, better hair etc. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  12. Haven't we been over this before? Personally, I don't give a damn one way or the other. They have a role, a personality and an appearance. As long as it fits together, what's the big deal? Visas or Mira could've been a man, sure, but what's the point? It's 50/50 (48/52 actually, if you're nitpicky). Unless of course any of them should've been a man just because, in which case your opinion has nothing to do with equality, at least not what equality is supposed to be about. Visas' breasts could've been smaller, Atton could've been fat, the Disciple could've been ug... okay, scratch that last one, but you get the point. Take a look at Bao-Dur in that tight shirt of his. You see me complaining about his physique? More importantly, why aren't you? That is, after all, also sexist. If that's not a problem to you, then I suggest you take your neo-feminism disguised as equality and stuff if. With all due respect, of course. Ugh, sorry, I just can't stand feminists. I have no problem with equality, but in my experience, feminism and equality are two different concepts. In any case, equality is a dream. We're not equal. Sorry to break it to you, but the world isn't fair. The best we can hope for is that it's equally unfair.

  14. Either Anakin or Luke, I don't remember which one (it was a Skywalker anyway). Lucas said so, and Lucas is (unfortunately) right by default.
  15. No, you have to tell Atton that Revan was DS (male or female) at Peragus. I think the option for LS is "I thought Revan saved the Republic" or something similar, so just pick the other one. No, you open it with a thorium charge (found in a locked footlocker in the library room, and/or if you kill the droid merchant on Dantooine). That's because you said Revan was LS (or said you didn't know/care) when Atton talked about it at Peragus. It doesn't say much, just Bastila talking a bit about why things went south at the academy and why Revan left, if I remember correctly.

  17. Binary works the same way decimal does. It's just that instead of counting to 9 before adding another number, you only count to 1. Or, to put it another way, decimal will count from 0 up to 9 in the first digit (10 numbers), then reset the first digit back to 0 and increase the second digit by one. When you count up to 99 (100 values), you're actually writing 00, 01, 02, 03 etc. The left 0 is just ignored in writing because it doesn't add any relevant information. As an example, here's how you count to 15 with binary (2^4, or 16 values). 0 0 0 0 = 0 0 0 0 1 = 1 0 0 1 0 = 2 0 0 1 1 = 3 0 1 0 0 = 4 0 1 0 1 = 5 0 1 1 0 = 6 0 1 1 1 = 7 1 0 0 0 = 8 1 0 0 1 = 9 1 0 1 0 = 10 1 0 1 1 = 11 1 1 0 0 = 12 1 1 0 1 = 13 1 1 1 0 = 14 1 1 1 1 = 15 etc.
  18. Well, in that case, any character in KotOR2 could beat Revan with one hand behind his/her back. They had access to far more and more powerful feats and powers, and had a higher level cap. This despite the fact that most of them had perhaps a couple of months of training at most. That's not a realistic conclusion, even by fantasy standards.
  19. I'm not sure which is more sad; that someone actually did this, or that I watched it and was somewhat amused.

  21. Vader was actually supposed to be "father" according to Lucas (it's from some germanic language, I guess. Have to look into it if you want a definite answer).
  22. Revan is/was also Dark Lord of the Sith (or Dark Lady or whatever you call women). That's the only "real" title, the top level of the Sith hierarchy. The whole pain/betrayal/hunger thingy is just some fancy addition to make them seem bad. Vader never got there, though. The Emperor was in the way. Also, spoiler section perhaps? Or spoiler tags.
