  1. I think it's a credit to Taris that it isn't one of the most hated planets even though you don't have many (or particularly interesting) party members to choose from, you have limited weapons, weak foes and of course, you aren't a Jedi. That the planet is still really enjoyable on your Nth run through is impressive. I would have voted for Telos. I hate Telos because it's so amazingly linear. You have two choices, which equate to your light or darkside choice for the whole game, so essentially no choice. My first time on Telos I was so relieved to be off Peragus then immediately so dissapointed once I realised I wasn't making any decisions. You want to be light side and not help Luxa kill her boss? Tough, you're going. You want to stop Luxa and Slussk fighting? Tough. You want to NOT threaten Slussk afterwards. No chance. All this and Kreia and Atton don't have anything to say to you. Peragus was terrible of course. it would have been fun were it half the length and with less cryptic clues about how you ended up there. I liked Manaan. Not as much as any of the other K1 planets, but it was okay. I tend to avoid the Sunry trial though. And of course, Malachor was such a dissapointment because of the rushed ending. Manaan may be dull but you at least know why you're there, where your party are and what you're supposed to be doing.
  2. When you watch the Star Wars film with your brother and spend the whole movie going, 'Dude. The Emporer has, like, Force Storm level 12, or something.' 'Yeah. With huge wisdom and charisma modifiers!' 'What level do you think Luke is?' Or as I did last night, after washing up, saying to the same brother, 'Experience gained: 200. Journal Updated: Washing up. Journal: The washing up is finished. You deliberately didn't do that pan with the burned on food but you assure yourself you'll do it tomorrow.'
  3. I like that bartenders too. Very funny stuff. I think the worst grammar I've seen comes from either the disgruntled droid at Vogga's workshop - 'Needs help to do my job, do I?' - or Anakin in the Clone Wars cartoon volume 2 - 'Jedis aren't supposed to be married!' Jedis??!? More proof that Obi-Wan can't teach. That should have been lesson one!
  4. That she did. And Bastilla / Carth did a pretty rubbish job of leading the Sith in her stead / 'keeping the Republic strong' over the next four years. I'd love K3 to begin with DS Revan returning to Korriban or some such to meet with Bastilla and asking her how everything went with keeping the Sith strong. 'So I see Korriban has been torn up and stuff'. 'Um. yes.' 'But you're still in charge, right?' 'Not really.' 'Uh-huh. When did you lose your power then?' 'Shortly after you left, my master.' 'What have you been doing since then?' 'Well, the remaining Sith have been expertly wiping out the Jedi order. I, however, have taken up plastering. It's really hard, master, but I'm great at it. Look at tht wall behind you! Smoooooth.' '................. I see.' Seems nobody associated with Reven makes a half-way decent Sith Lord. bring back Exar Kun, that's what I say. Knew what he was doing, that fella. And that Marka Ragnos. He was good with the economy. Oh yes.
  5. Why is everyone so certain Juhani is gay? I've heard the 'long nights together under the stars' dialogue many times and laughed, but this isn't nearly enough evidence. It's funny and all, but remember she's not actually gay.
  6. That's the big problem with the KOTOR 2 robes. If you were getting into an intense lightsaber fight, you'd take off the damn cloak. It's very irritating that you can't take those off, but yes, they flow, and they look fantastic compared to the KOTOR 1 robes. I think the KOTOR1 robes looked better on female characters than male ones. On men they made the shoulders look very, very big. The Star Forge robes were pretty ugly. Revan's Robes, however, have to be the stand out costume design triumph of the series. Also I love the robes Malak wears in the cutscene where he and Revan explore the Dantooine Star Map. The dark robes in KOTOR 1 were just awful, I thought. The 'Dark Jedi' robes from TSL were outstanding. And I have a fondness for the Ossus Keeper robes. In KOTOR 3, I would be very pleased if they had some robes without big flowing cloaks, or better yet removable cloaks. Oh, and the option to put the hood up. That'd make you scary. Like evil Annakin.
  7. Must try this next time. Hell, I might be male too.
  8. Good God. It is Across the Stars, isn't it? Shame overload.
  9. One day, one day. Seems to be getting more common now, anyhow. Jade Empire of course. Could you have gay relationships in the Sims? I never really played it.
  10. By golly, you're right. This would be to make nobody using the Exile's name seem more realistic, I suppose. Well, fair enough then.
  11. It wasn't so bad! I prefferred it to some of the other sidequests. Carth's was easily the best, but I hated the Sunry murder trial and Juhani's quest seems to have a bug in it - no matter how many times I try I can't get Xor to reappear - everytime I want to talk to Juhani about me being revan or about her past, I just this 'My Cathar blood seethes...' nonsense. Rant over. Bastilla was one of my favourite characters from KOTOR - always hiding things from you yet appearing so naiive, turning to the dark side without you figuring it out because you're too busy trying to get her to go out with you. The stuff with her mother allowed for a nice look at Bastilla's dark side and her habit of protecting herself from the real world.
  12. There are plenty of unsexy ones. Pick the white one with the awkward looking mole, the black woman who looks a little mannish or the Asian woman with a piece of wood stuck in her hair and hugely over the top makeup. You'll be viewing her as an equal in no time!
  13. Thanks everyone. Kill Zez Kai-Ell. He's not as talented an actor as the other two, and he brings down the Dantooine scene somewhat.
  14. I'm a guy and usually play as a female Exile. I think the way the character is wrtten works better for a woman. Somehow. Not in a sexist way, you understand, but uh... I, I, I, sorry. The main reason is that I find falling in love with Visas just a little creepy. The woman isn't ready for that kind of relationship. I feel like I'm using her. And Handmaiden is pretty odd. Falling for Atton, however, makes a good story. The flirting is fun and as there's a reasonable amount of dialogue for him, it makes sense that he should be closer to the Exile than the others.
  15. Veridian? Black? Bah and humbug. Kids these days. The day I became part of the order, the fella offered me blue or green. No more. (He was a tall man. English, beard. 'Blue or green?' he said, frowning. I told him I wanted a red one. 'Don't be idiotic', he said, 'it'll explode!'. I said fair enough and asked for veridian. He said, 'Padawan, I don't think that's even a word. Blue or green?' I left it at that and chose green.)
  16. Just wondering. I've only ever played it as extreme L/S or extreme D/S. The influence seems to make neutral games difficult to engineer. Is it possible to kill some of the Lost Jedi and spare the others? And if so what happens on Dantooine? Thanks very much.
  17. Which just goes to show - if you're going to be trying out new lightsaber ideas - don't try them against a Skywalker.
  18. Why on earth would you grow a beard if nobody ever saw your face?
  19. I actually like to give Revan a violet blade a lot of the time. After seeing the Revan apparition in the shyrack caves of TSL I decided this would make for better continuity.
  20. My brother once gave Mandalore a cleaver and a trandoshan sword, and gave Atton the same along with some crazy, bulky silver armour. Atton was dark side too, so they looked pretty ridiculous following the Exile around.
  21. Both good points. I absolutely agree that the best option would be to choose orientation, as in Jade Empire or Fable. And yes, games wouldn't be as fun without the stereotyping. But only the good-natured stereotyping I played the new Lesiure Suit Larry recently for example, and laughed my ass off at the gay stereotypes. Maybe I was going overboard earlier, but I don't think we're a very small minority. Well, perhaps amongst gamers we are.
