Darth Sithari Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Pardon me for this somewhat dumb question, but I'm looking for a list of the forum ranks and I can't for the life of me find one in the help files, nor has anyone I've PMed known where to locate one. If someone could direct me to where I could find one, I'd appreciate it. Opinions are the root of all evil.
Gorth Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 That would be cheating, wouldn't it? Sort of like looking up a walkthrough on the internet (no idea what the ranks are, really) “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Aristes Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Here I was thinking that we were all Obsidian VIPs. I guess I was wrong.
taks Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Life is a mystery... a mystary. oh, and for the record darth, your post count, and consequently, your rank, won't change posting in WoT. not sure how i've managed nearly 2000 posts in the past 5 years (sheeeeeesh it's been that long) posting primarily in here. taks comrade taks... just because.
Aristes Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Hell, I've been here less than a year and I have probably a thousand post between here and the other forums.
LadyCrimson Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) Wasn't there a time where you could see the tally of your WoT posts? Or a percentage number, at least? I kinda miss that. Heh Most of mine are probably from the Kotor forums, way back when. I shudder to think what it'd be including WoT. Edited June 19, 2009 by LadyCrimson “Things are as they are. I seem to recall there being something that showed which section you had posted in most often and for a lot of the regulars that ended up being WoT.
Oner Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Oh, I have a question too! ,o/ Why do we get to choose a "class" at registration, then stuck being a mage anyway? Giveaway list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DgyQFpOJvyNASt8A12ipyV_iwpLXg_yltGG5mffvSwo/edit?usp=sharing What is glass but tortured sand?Never forget! '12.01.13.
Gorth Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Oh, I have a question too! ,o/Why do we get to choose a "class" at registration, then stuck being a mage anyway? Ask the designer of the forum game to include some proper choice and consequences? “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Enoch Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) They're the level titles that were associated with the Magic-User class in 1st ed. AD&D. Magic-User 1: Prestidigitator 2: Evoker 3: Conjurer 4: Theurgist 5: Thaumaturgist 6: Magicician 7: Enchanter 8: Warlock 9: Sorcerer 10: Necromancer 11: Wizard 12: Wizard (12th level) 13: Wizard (13th level) 14: Wizard (14th level) 15: Wizard (15th level) 16: Wizard (16th level) 17: Wizard (17th level) 18: Wizard (18th level or Arch-Mage) (I think the board compresses the "Wizard" part to one level and grants "Arch-Mage" status at level 12.) (This was the best source link I could find.) Edit: Now I see taks' rank as "(12) Mage" and I'm confused. Edited June 19, 2009 by Enoch
taks Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 ^lady: not sure. never checked, never really cared. i'm probably in the 10k neighborhood, which pales in comparison to the alt masters like visceris and who knows how many others. quite frankly, i've always assumed there are really only 10 posters in these fora, the rest are all an alt of visceris. ^aristes: didn't you used to post at the black isle website, too? if so, only a year here? taks comrade taks... just because.

samm Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Was there a possibility to freeze the level? I wouldn't want to become "grandfather assassin" when there's killer stuff like "killer" for example. Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority

Laozi Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I guess I should be a monk, I've been master of the South wind for quite some time now People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
