  2. Hm, is it just my browser or do most of my amusing links of late suddenly stop working about 2-3 days after I post them?

  4. The Blood Ward is incredibly powerful because it heals from all sources of damage, DoT ticks included. So if you are a Furyshaper with a big health pool, decent defenses and AR and also resistances (=no hard disables) you can dish out Bleeding Cuts with Battle Axes (or other DoTs like from Saru Sichr) to a lot of enemies and get a constant flow of healing while dealing damage at the same time. Mostly auto-attacks bc. of the limited resources - but if you are in a pinch you can use Dazing Shout which is cheap, has a very big AoE and will daze and shake enemies, deal good dmg and heal you up nicely. Of you have trouble with the ward getting attacked: a scroll of withdraw does help a lot. It will conceal the ward completely but it will still work perfectly well for you. I did all fights with this guy except Megabosses. He just wasn't equipped for those. I did the Crystal Empress - but the rest was so annoying that I skipped them. I guess Dorudugan would be possible (I mean technically I'd just have to poke him with Lover's Embrace) but I didn't try. I used some cheesy tactics, like cancelling Leap in mid air (= no attack roll at the landing site but also no cost: great mobility trick). But I didn't use endless prolonging effects like with Cabalist's Gambeson and so on. The fun part was that one could combine damage dealing with survivability which sped things up. If one concentrates on tankyness usually the fights take forever. That was also the experience with solo Streetfighter/Unbroken. Usually I'd say Trickster would be the better pick. But you are constantly flanked anyway and the damage output of the Streetfighter was very good for a tanky build which made the run less tedious. But also no Megabosses there. In hindsight I should have done Streetfighter/Black Jacket though. It's a lot of micro but the ability to switch between shield setup and offensive setup in an instant is very good when you are solo. You can switch to shield once you see something big incoming, shrug it off and immediately switch back to blender mode. Discipline mostly used for Refreshing Defense and Unbending. Guile mostly for Escape, Smoke Veil and sometimes Gouging Strike.
  5. i think if you resolve Storms of Poko Kohara, you can resolve Terms of Trae later w/out having explicitly gotten it yet since it's tied up with the resolution of the adra crystal.
  6. Hi, so I probably ran into this problem: https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Terms_of_Trade I'm literally in front of Jadaferlas the Ancient, done all bounties, Atsura has given me "Dim Prospects" and Castol has given me "Of Like Minds", but no way Lueva Alvari speaks about this quest. When does it come available? Do i have to finish "He waits in fire"? Also note that I've already done the quests in Tikawara and talked to Vector, "The Storms of Poko Koara" is already beginned: maybe is this the issue? Thanks to everyone who has information about that
  7. And Butusov has always been pretty pessimistic, in past.
  8. I have some off topic questions, how did you solo with furyshaper? Limited resources and expensive healing, no pet or summon... Even the terror ward has awful ACC that I had trouble hitting mediocre enemies even with a party for debuffing, that I ended up just using the frenzy ward and it felt very general when I played one.
  9. Yes I do, unfortunately, because the Russian army is now actaully bigger in available combat units than it was in 2022, and those units are now experienced and battle-hardened. But most importantly, they have massive amounts of artillery available (which they have already used very effectively to clear out Ukrainian defenses in several border villages around Khar'kiv) whereas Ukraine's artillery capability, heavily outnumbered to begin with, is relatively nonconsequential because they've run out of munitions.
  10. I have never of him but I dont follow up of Putins inner circle or prominent Russian politicians I had heard of Shoigu but only when the war started
  11. I use to play on Xbox and it worked just fine multiplayer menu loads. Now I'm playing on pc and when i click on multiplayer it says i need to be signed in to Xbox live in Oder to play. 12. Has anyone noticed or followed this Kickstarter? Do you have anu impressions of it already?
  13. According to various sources, RU has accumulated aprox 32000 men around Kharkiv. Looking back at 2022, when they had probably same number of men and the advantage of surprise, and less armed and trained UA army, and were not able to encircle the city for more than half year. Do you think they might have a better chance now? Especially when you consider, that they lost more than 17000 men trying to surround Avdiivka. edit: General staff of UA has also posted a new record from yesterday: https://www.facebook.com/GeneralStaff.ua/posts/pfbid02AG84aiQvdw761cD5wYf4EFXti2JaqUViGkyhPFhHixwXtitp9GSGVa9itPdzPvFul
  14. Well, if you polled the general public for name recognition Patrushev would almost certainly be behind even someone like Dugin. Who it isn't even certain has actually met Putin, let alone influenced him. Certainly behind Lavrov/ Medvedev/ Shoigu/ Prigozhin/ Gerasimov/ Zakharova/ Mishustin who all have (had for Prigo) fairly prominent public roles. If you know, say, who the head of the FSB is and what the SVR is without looking them up you'd know who Patrushev is; but then that requires more than passing familiarity. If you don't... (yes, any article on Putin's inner circle isn't complete without a prominent mention of Patrushev. Those are by their nature infrequent though, and since he's 'quiet' even those who read them will still tend to remember the forementioned people a lot more)
  15. Few people have heard of? How's that?
  16. It's been six years last week, by the way. A couple of ados: - The carribean theme being a possible factor in underperformance is depressing as hell. I mean, this is the only genre left standing where announcing a product set in the zombie postapocalypse or during WWII would be seen as a risk. Says it all, really. Even if you're barely getting sick of elves&dwarves: Everybody is getting tired of their favourite meal when that is served 24/7. Unless they're a weirdo. In which case: great genre. Bad target audience. - Currently playing The Outer Worlds. And whilst that also was a semi-budgeted affair, it is remarkable how much more it relies on cheap tricks to stretch its playing time. Currently exploring Monarch, and that almost feels like Owlcat Games. You know: Having spaces and then bombarding them with paste&copy mobs for you to mow down over and over and over again. I know that Josh took the criticism as to PoE1 to heart and made his designers encourage to actually think of a REASON when putting combat into their design. Like: "Okay, why do you put those enemies there?" "They are meant to introduce the fauna of this place." But still remarkable. Mind you, these games are and always will be murder hobo sims. But killing less than 1,000 enemies over a 40-50 hours campaign is still pretty low end for this type. That's ~20 kills per hour on average. If Owlcat Games would have stats like these, there would be an integer error and the counter would re-start at zero at some point. Also, whilst the main quest is a bit conflicted/meh, Deadfire to me firlmy remains the most polished of all the major crowdfunded RPGs. At release, it was much too easy, admittedly. But that's been overhauled. It also remains the only one I've completed I think thrice. One time immediately after having finished it, just to try something out. As the main quest isn't a LOTR kind of epic done on a budget (and neither stretched to be such, see second point/paragraph), that is actually viable to do. Deadfire is also one I'll be getting back to the in the future. And that precisely because of its setting and atmosphere. The moment where you are finished with your starting island and get your first ship to set off to adventure land -- that's the one making the game to me. It's like Monkey Island -- except in an RPG. Dwarves&elves my ass! I can get them from 9.99 out of 10 RPGs anyway. Deadfire indeed was good.
  17. I absolutely want those collection bragging rights lmao
  18. Croatias song was a bit of a banger, but I really love Rammstein so I'm definetly biased
  19. It would certainly be an interesting fight. One thing I always loved about BG were those rival adventuring groups - a very different tactical challenge than monsters. Maybe this could be modded back in and become the "Chosen of Cyric" of PoE. Ah, one can always dream.
  20. Yesterday
  21. i play on xbox x and i get kicked out of the game and had to start over where i left off it did it 5 times and i have to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again
  22. Update on chest placement - there’s no problem placing chests next to each other if they’re not sitting on a half floor, but if I try placing one where two half floors meet, it suddenly becomes obstructed. Tested it with full floors, not a problem. It’s only happening when two half floors meet.
  23. I’m one of the latest updates something changed with objects like chests that makes them irritating to place. I like to use half floors as shelves to keep my chests out of the way, but now even when there’s more than enough space for two chests I can only place one, the other constantly saying it he location is obstructed when there’s nothing in its way.
  24. Technically a promotion for Shoigu since he's going from implementing policy to setting it, at least in theory. Practically... it probably is a promotion. Patrushev is one of the biggest influences on Putin few people have heard of and very highly trusted. Apart from chairing the security council for 16 years he was Putin's* first appointee to the head of the FSB- and Putin's replacement there. If he weren't Putin's age he'd be a solid contender for a designated successor. Anyone replacing him is going to be similarly trusted. Only caveat is if Patrushev's new unannounced position supercedes the security council head in some way, which it might. *technically Yeltsin appointed him, but that was late stage 'may have had some blood in his alcohol stream' Yeltsin where Putin was running everything.
