I have a couple videos of weirdness too. 1. I had a stack of grass planks on the ground (20ish?) and my ant buddy couldn't drop any more. It would immediately disappear and then the inventory would go back to full (12). I had to move away from the pile before it would let me drop any. 2. Pebblet foundation pack I purchased and then at some point (not sure if a crash happened in between or not) it just showed up again in the store. Even though it's still available on my crafting wheel and I have some in my base. 3. I've seen multiple critters stuck inside geometry (usually large creatures and large rocks). And one butterfly stuck in the air unable to move. I used it to cheese an Orb Weaver, which backfired because it dropped my arrows inside the rock when it died. 4. At sunset the volumetric lighting is broken. Everywhere you look is the same silhouette effect in all directions around you.

Right on schedule, crash number 4. Was just sitting around in my base but he snack bar ranger station (same spot as the first two crashes and where the save thumbnail is corrupt) and was in the crafting menu (not in a workbench)

C1ockvvorksound started following Flying Buggy?
-
A flying buggy like a bumblebee or wasp would be super fun and would make exploring/building super interesting! Probably would be more fun as a late game creature or something to avoid story skips. Idk, ever since the buggys were introduced me and my family have been talking about how cool it would be to have a flying friend

I'd love to see some sort of weather system that affects your cold and hot and some flooding like the tipped ice cream cart. I would also love to see using butterfly wings as some sort of glider.

My Weapon and Shield Disappeared!?
Kirk Morgan replied to Dixon's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Help I lost my spicy Coaltana it is still on my hot pouch with 0 available but it is gone I have went and retraced my steps tried loading old saves and nothing if it was a weapon I could remake it would be no big deal but the spicy globs are gone now also -
I normally don't care at all about game cosmetics, the last time I spent anything on a gotta-have outfit in a game was with Overwatch, dropping a few bucks for the Philadelphia Fusion skin for Reinhardt circa like 2018. But I named my mount General Ulysses S. GrAnt, and so I would like him to have a Civil War-era Hardee hat. I would also like him to have a cigar he can chomp on, squint into the distance, and growl out "war never changes" in jaded gravel-voice before we charge off to go fight spiders, but I'd settle for just the hat. Thank you for reading, I made an Obsidian account to post this request.

Like to build tall.... A mountable hoist to bring large quantities of building material to the top of your base
-
I've been playing for roughly 10 hours now and have crashed 3 times. Seems my MTTF is around 3 hours. All three involved opening the menu or being in the menu. 1 - while hand crafting crude rope 2 - while using the spinning wheel 3 - while sprinting across the map, I opened the inventory guide Also I noticed there are no Buddy controls in the controller section of the Options. Would be a good addition.
-
Update: I think I have isolated the issue to being related to sprinting until exhaustion and then it's like my character never fully recovered stamina but does show and allows stamina use. Its tied to my stamina bar. If I dont exhaust myself, the issue never occurs.

Silksong in 2 weeks. I cri. -
Ukraine could build deliverable dirty bombs in, basically, minutes given they do have nuclear reactors and long range drones, rockets, missiles etc. For all but the delivery system Fiji could build one in weeks as well. There's a lot of radioactive material around if you're a state player even without a reactor, eg in health care; even smoke alarms have some. They wouldn't be effective battlefield weapons of course, but that isn't their purpose. Their purpose is to terrorise civilians populations. For that you don't even really need them to be dangerous in reality, you just need them to be dangerous in perception; and the word radiation provides the heavy lifting for the perception of danger. Ukraine doesn't use/ build them because it would alienate everyone except the staunchest NAFOids. Indeed, 90% of the discourse about them has been about them being used as false flags by Russia or Ukraine for that very reason.

The All Things Political Topic - What's Going On...?
Zoraptor replied to Lexx's topic in Way Off-Topic
The country looks like an economic miracle, and to a large extent that is what is important*. Mostly because economics is a spectacularly non rigorous field of study/ expertise with more similarities to religion than science. Same reason house price inflation was massively encouraged here- it made the economics look good though it was utterly unproductive and a very real drain on the practical economy because it sucked up all the investment. Worse, the houses were made from over priced materials and didn't fill the actual need (ie were built to appeal to appeal specifically to 'investors'). Why start a business when you could buy a house at 5-10% return y/y + rental with the knowledge that the government would prop you up? When house prices started to stabilise because no one could afford them the government started importing massive numbers of people to create artificial demand to keep the bubble inflated. Because economists mostly look at GDP nominal the fact that GDP per capita was actually dropping got ignored and then people wondered why everyone felt poor. Also why politicians and economists try and tell us that $10 butter in a country which makes 20x the amount of butter it needs is great, and everyone should be happy about it- it makes the country look like it's doing well economically. It'd be true if we had 1-2 million people and a quarter of them were involved in selling unimproved cow juice products like in the 50s and 60s, but we don't. Doesn't do much to dispel the old saying that there's one type of person who believes in infinite expansion in a closed system: economists, politicians and idiots. *eg you can borrow a lot more money at better rates because typically lenders look at GDP nominal as to whether you can pay the money back. Much like religion a great deal of economics is getting people to believe in stuff. -

The companions look quite good and the last line sounds very encouraging and appealing. Though, Microsoft still owns Obsidian. Well, that and the expectedly poor optimisation of TOW2 - I will not purchase something I cannot run, while the 4K textures would be a waste of storage space and energy. The developers not moving them into a separate free DLC show the lack of consideration for both the players and the environment. VTMB2 getting released is interesting. While I do not expect it to be a faithful successor or a deep immersive sim, it still might be an engaging action in the VTM setting. Granted, the voice-in-the-head will be silenced quite quickly. -
Is PoE2 too easy?
JaimeJoopii replied to Ocelot's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I would say that Deadfire lends the player a lot of leeway. My first playthrough I just came off the heels of the first game where I didn't fully understand the mechanics, and in the second game I understood them even less but just kinda brute forced it? I didn't understand how accuracy and defenses worked, I only really understood penetration. Even on my current play through, I'm trying to fully understand the mechanics and I've been wanting a hard wall, like the Adra Dragon in POE1, so I can learn how to properly buff my party and manage their skills and AI but the game just keeps giving me victories and it's strange.
