ADDITIONAL IMMERSION IMPROVEMENTS 1. When the game begins in multiplayer, there are four beds, but three players spawn in the same bed while only one spawns separately. This looks like a bug and should be fixed. 2. In single-player, seeing multiple Omni tools but only being able to pick up one breaks immersion. In multiplayer, the system automatically gives everyone an Omni tool once one person picks it up, which makes no sense—what about the other Omni tools on display? Suggestion: Only display four Omni tools in total (since multiplayer is capped at four players). In single-player, the player can pick any one of the displayed Omni tools; once chosen, the others should lock, and a dialogue should appear if the player tries to pick up another. In multiplayer, each player should manually pick up one of the four Omni tools displayed. 3. The roasting spit background UI is too large and unnecessary—removing the background color would be cleaner. Overall, the UI needs a major overhaul. Many menus feel barebones yet cluttered. For example, the death screen has too many options. Keep it simple: no more than three key options (similar to Minecraft’s respawn menu). Minecraft’s success partly comes from simplicity, while Grounded overwhelms players with unnecessary buttons. 4. Milk molars should be placed logically. For example: Inside an ant nest (ants could have carried it there). | In a soda can or near points of interest. | Scattered in the open world, like discarded teeth. Logical placement makes exploration more rewarding. 5. Collision Issues Please fix collision problems when walking through stacks of grass planks. This issue was never fixed in Grounded 1 and should be addressed in Grounded 2. 6. There should be a limit of three backpacks per player. After three deaths, the oldest backpack should despawn. Otherwise, death becomes an exploit with no consequences. Similarly, when players craft and throw dozens of spears, the UI fills up with spear icons, becoming overwhelming. Limiting backpacks and reducing clutter would add more challenge and immersion. --- Other Suggestions • Add more dialogue from the kids reacting to being shrunk again in multiplayer. • Introduce a creature that hunts players who sleep in the open without protection. • Rename menu/UI options for clarity: Quit → Return to Main Menu Super Quit → Quit Huck → Throw • Allow stamina recovery while walking (not just when standing still). Check Breath of the Wild for reference on stamina balance and UI. • The pulsing red color when at low health is oversized—it visually clashes with the hunger and health bars. • The “Superbuild” takes longer than standard building, which feels backward. Make the superbuild faster instead. • Remove unusable chests, such as the ones in the ant cave, since they serve no purpose. • When riding the buggy, allow players to collect items from the ground consistently (some areas prevent this). • Add more bug types and variants for diversity. --- Final Note It feels like features are added without considering logical consistency. Focusing on immersion and logic first would make Grounded 2 the best survival game of all time.

https://www.dw.com/en/germany-updates-afd-tops-poll-with-highest-support-ever/live-74072701 For fun, go watch some right wing Americans "discuss" this topic. Apparently Germany has been dominated by the far left for decades. - Today

Finished Silk Song. The final fight is pretty cool, although it will probably make @Lexx tear his hair our, or rage quit again. Unlike with Hollow Knight, I can't see myself tackling the Steel Soul mode (hardcore mode, i.e. only one life, then game over). I mean sure, it's probably possible to save scum by copying or use a speedrunning training mod, but that isn't really the point of the exercise. I guess simply finishing the game with any% would be doable, but a 100% Steel Soul run? Yeah, count me out.

I started the public playtest (on Xbox Series X via Game Pass) and wanted to try fighting Axl. I went to the empty terrarium and picked up the shop recipe, but it didn’t unlock the Poached Roach Roast. Screenshots attached.

The All Things Political Topic - What's Going On...?

First both Houses are entirely toothless. Entirely. They will either endorse whatever comes out of this administration, or ah-hum their way to the apocalypse, with vague hand wringing about norms and civility. As for the courts, the system is slow, but the Supreme Court has already clearly shown who it stands with. Congress, lol. -

I want to ask you something Trumps presidency has had several examples where he has been accused of ignoring the Constitution like with National Guard deployments and deportations And then these actions get challenged in the various courts and sometimes Trump wins and sometimes he loses Do you consider that the same as him ignoring the Constitution around a third term? In other words do you believe its irrelevant what Congress thinks or what the courts will rule if Trump decides to stay on as president? Do you believe he can decide something as fundamental as ignoring the 2 terms rule and it will become a reality I believe Congress and the courts in the US can and absolutely do have final say on what any US president can or cannot do on many things -

Yes and that would be the worst possible outcome for the US and the reality of Democracy Some dystopian event where Trump seizes power militarily and becomes a leader for life with no more elections I cant imagine that ever happening but I understand the concern -
@BruceVC I don’t think Trumps ambitions are relying on getting elected for life, just on being able to seize power for life. Those tiny cogwheels inside his head trying to assess whether or not his interior police/national guard goons will help him do away with the pesky election process or whether the regular army will oppose it (I get the impression that US veterans are not fond of him) edit he has repeatedly shown little interest in following rules other than when it benefits him. Insurrection, hello?

It's very fortunate then that the GOP hasn't been ignoring the constitution with no consequences, so far. We really dodged a bullet here, thanks for the help. -

I see my point is being misunderstood and maybe its my fault for not clarifying something which I thought I did Im sure there are people who genuinely want Trump to become a leader for life and Trump would love to have a 3rd term But he cannot because that would require changing the US Constitution and the GOP doesnt have that support, as the previous link mentions to change the US Constitution you need 2/3 control of both the House and Senate 75% control of State Legislatures Even after the massive GOP win in the last election they dont have that support and in the midterms I predict the GOP will lose seats in Congress. So when Trump and some of his MAGA supporters say " I want to stay on for a 3rd term " you can ignore it because its not legislatively possible Its no different to the whole Gaza Riviera, annexing of Canada and Greenland becoming part of the US You will notice no one talks about those "ideas" from Trump anymore but yet at the time people responded to them as if they were real and possible Trump becoming a leader for life\monarch\3rd term is the same -

Good game but hobbled initially by a bad case of Paradoxitis. Absolute content desert without the dlc, especially late game. And without the dlc you had very little reason to, well, want the dlc due to it being a very shallow game after the initial set up was done. And even with the dlc still had a fair bit of 'could have been better' about it in some aspects. -
Got fed up squinting at file names on the 27" 1440 etc so I replaced it with the earlier LED 40" 4k TV (and its heavy swinging-stand, argh). Since it'll only be used for program monitoring and browsing, don't care about uber clarity and put the windows app scale sizing at 125%. That+bigger screen size works better. But - OLED and this LED are both LG. Meaning the remote/s work on both at once. Which is fine when I want to turn both off for the night. But trying to adjust other settings has everything popping up on both TV's rather randomly. Or if I only want to turn off the LED to reduce monitor light (film watching). Have to hold remotes super close to TV and at an angle to prevent it. Oh well - at least I can read stuff from sitting-distance and still have more windows visible etc. Edit: also having both be 4k = less dual-display resolution/positioning issues.

James R. Ewald started following Buggies not available
-
I am playing on medium difficulty. Usually my ant buggy is returned to the nest when it dies. I have had 3 of them say they are "going to the nest," and then get the notification saying "buggy is ready." Then when I try to call them out, they are locked and eventually completely removed when I quit and log back in. Is this a bug or a feature of how many times a buggy dies?

JimTheGoat started following Trinket Wheel / Quick-Swap Idea (similar to hotpouch)
-
The idea for this is we know trinkets are very useful yet half the time i'm playing I usually just equip a trinket and forget, but with a trinket wheel (similar to the hotpouch feature), could allow players to switch between trinkets without having to open the backpack or I suppose in the hotbar (I really never put it in the hotbar; love stuffin' weapons). This would make trinkets feel like have more use then sitting in a chest named trinkets, as I'd be able to quickly switch between multiple trinkets between multiple enemies, or enviromental things (such as falling). I do usually try keeping a couple of trinkets on me yet I never really have the time to switch them or forget to.

There is no house in G2's map as this is a park, so no porch/deck/house/shed. Flying on butterflies/moths I would think is impractical for two reasons: 1. Wings would get in the way of player visibility while riding. 2. These insects utilize their low body mass to lift themselves into the air, hence the large wingspans. A better insect for flight might be a bumblebee, a flying ant, a locust, or a mosquito. -
Chill Resistance 100%
gentleman1013 replied to CaptainMarshall's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I've noticed that freezing occurs more gradually based on armor worn and consumable buffs compared to sizzle with appropriate gear and buffs. I would assume this is just due to balancing being needed between these two. Progression of environmental effect somewhere in the middle of those two would seem appropriate. - Yesterday

Thank you for your response. Yes, I have uninstalled/re-installed, etc. No joy. I ran several speed tests as you suggested and they came back flawless. All 'in the green' as you'd say. Movies, gaming, etc. All green. Ping: 10 Download: 478.26 Upload: 11.53 Jitter: 3ms Loss: 0% For grins I ran it on my phone too but it didn't fare quite as well. Jitter was 44 on D/L and 10 on the upswing. Obviously I don't play games on my phone... Just wanted a quick comparison. The only other thing to test is my kids' connection since they are the only ones I've played with. I will get the results and post them here. I have a feeling I might be looking for the problem in the wrong place? Question: I'm the furthest from a network guru, so riddle me this: Why is it we can play just fine when we're all on our Xbox's? Sure there's a tiny amount of occasional lag but I figured it's my Xbox One S vs. their X system. Mine isn't nearly as beefy as theirs. I also have to play via the cloud. Different servers? Puzzling for sure. I don't have any other friends playing Grounded 2 otherwise I'd try to crossplay with someone else to see what happens. I think I ran across a web site somewhere that has a lobby of sorts. Maybe it was here on Obsidian, I'll take a look. I really want this to work. Other than StarField, it's the reason I built my new PC is to play with my kids since we don't live in the same town anymore. We have a great time playing. Eventually they will switch back to PC gaming like I did. Thank you,

Can you add like a porch swing, or hammock, and it would be really amazing to be able to fly on butterflies.
