  2. The 3060 only had 12gigs because at the time, the alternative would have been 6gigs (memory interface limitations). And that apparently Nvidia didn't want. So you had this weird line-up where the 60 card had more VRAM than even the 3080 (a model with 12GB launched in 2022). Now that 3GB GDDR7 chips are a thing, it may be easier to release 12, 18, 24 GB cards. But yeah, custom models would be actually useful now, if they were allowed to also go with custom memory configurations. Like back then, a 8400GS variant optionally going with more VRAM than the 8800 Ultra (kidding, that was a complete waste, naturally). With a 3070, I'd also try to sit it all out until the PS6, at least the official spec announcement (and build from there). In terms of raw performance, you're still better off than a base PS5 (ca. RX 6700 non-XT, as said) and close enough even to the Pro (ca. 5060Ti). 8GB may mean reduced settings (textures and the like). But they're still officially supported by any game. (Until the PS5 launched, 2+3GB were still supported, even in MS Flight 2020, Red Dead 2, etc.) "Fake" anything has been a thing on consoles since forever. I think with UE5 and the like (and diminishing returns in terms of raw performance), it's here to stay. Actually, Nvidia's CEO proclaimed as such back in 2022ish on a keynote: Raytracing et all is really demanding, so they needed another breakthrough: DLSS (upscaling, Frame Gen). I'm going to DLSS4 upscale the heck out of the 3060 if needed, as thankfully, even from 720p it's useful now. And Nvidia actually provided the DLSS4 upscaler even for legacy models, including RTX 2.... Nvidia, of all things!

  4. I'm not afraid of them or anything, but man... there seems to be at least ten spiders near me at any given moment in the game right now. If not full adults, then the younger and baby ones, all over the place, all the time. Only ants seem to outnumber them, emphasis on 'seems to'. And it doesn't make sense. If you think about it, the number of spiders would need enough other creatures to feed them all in the park, which there doesn't seem to be enough of. Mites, Aphids and Weevils are in short supply, though there are some around. Everything else is as likely to kill the spiders as the spiders are to kill them, with some being highly likely to do so. Even the ants, which could be killed, tend to work together enough to make fights too risky; spiders wouldn't willingly crawl into an ants nest in RL by a long shot. There needs to be a larger range of non predator insects added to the mix for this number of spiders to make sense. And though I know it's meant to be part of the flow of the game, I don't think the spiders would be reproducing like that with the lack of food insects for them to feed off of. It would just cause starvation, or for them to have to eat their own young to survive. Granted Ominent could have been influencing things to have more predators in the park to experiment on, but I don't know about that. ^^;
  5. Mandible Enhancements It's hard to believe Ominent wasn't researching ways to militarize the bugs they were trying to tame. This idea could come in great for the kids, as they could find things to lead them to this. Similar to the Omnitool, these would be wearable chomper enhancements that would allow the bugs to do more. I always kinda disliked having to climb on and off the bug to harvest certain things, and this would be a way to allow that. The Ant would get cutting and digging enhancements because pincers, while the spider would get biting or stabbing enhancements because fangs. This would also let buggies specialize into varying things. Barding You know how you can customize your SCAB.E and Omnitool? Why not the bugs too? Add a feature that allows the bugs to be decked out in either decorative barding, or something that provides a little more protection. If protection is also included, there can be bonuses (increased defense, spiky reflected damage, harder stun through helmets) and negatives (slower movement speed, reduced carrying capacity, less jumping ability. Patrolling Ants tend to be steady workers, always roaming about looking for food and other things. This would be a useful addition to the game. When the player has multiple ants, they can set some of them to farm for resources in the area. A dump chest can be added just for them, and they will roam around, hunting Aphids, cutting grass or sticks and stocking the storages and fighting off random invaders in the area. The zone they would patrol would be centered on the dump chest. The same could be set up for spiders, but in a more predatory manner, mostly hunting various bugs to keep your food stocked. Item Deposit Similar to how you can summon and send your buggy to and from the nest, add a command that sends them on a round trip. Once they have enough in their inventory, they can be sent back to deposit that stuff, then return. The trip would have a certain time for them to be gone and come back, based on how far the trip is, during which they would be unavailable. This would use a similar 'dump chest' concept to the patrolling idea... a large storage they would deposit things in before returning to the player. Types of Buggies for the Future Grasshoppers, Jumping Spiders (the cute, friendly ones), Crickets, Moths, Rhino Beetles, Dragonflies, Stickbugs (purely for the meme... 'get stickbugged, lol'; could have it randomly do the back and forth dance they do sometimes)
  6. I had most fun with the WotEP when I used it with a Steel Garrote/Bloodmage. I didn't use it to deal AoE damage but to drain health from melee enemies at the same time as casting spells (and using Blood Sacrifice). With Offensive Parry you daze enemies automatically which unlocks the Steel Garrote drain. You can then "passively" parry melee enemies and gain health from that and don't need to take action to heal yourself so often (good for your action economy). Against single targets (or when I wasn't tanky enough with the WotEP) I used Concelhaut's Draining Touch with the Grimoire switching trick so the Draining Touch never goes away during fights (with a large shield of needed, else with a club+modal in the offhand to lower enemies' Will for the Draining Touch (targets Will instead of deflection). This is also a great weapon setup in combination with Miasma + Ryngrim spells against mobs: they disengage and get wrecked by the hefty disengagement attacks which drain health (Draining Touch + Garrote). Again: disengagement attacks don't use any action time so you can cast spells instead. Obviously this isn't really a melee character in the traditional sense. It's more like a way to deal weapon damage and heal in the process without wasting action time but use this to cast (more) spells. While casting spells with you as the center (like Torrent of Flame for example) I really like Inspired Beacon (one of the few characters where I felt it was worth its heal cost). Naturally an Arcane Knight can become very tanky because of the combination of self buffs + Paladin passives. Not a striker though, so maybe it's not fun for somebody who likes to strike actively - then the aforementioned Soulblade/Trickster ist much better and also fun to play.
  7. https://www.barrons.com/news/s-african-court-finds-radical-politician-guilty-of-hate-speech-c0784bef Julius Malema has been found guilty of hate speech, lovely. Long overdue but better late than never. Its his party that sings the song " kill the Boer, kill the farmer " " At a rally in 2022, Malema referred to a fight two years prior between members of his EFF party and white parents at a school accused of holding a whites-only dance party, telling his supporters that "killing is part of a revolutionary act" and "you must never be scared to kill Seized by the South African Human Rights Commission, the Equality Court ruled Wednesday that Malema's remarks "constituted hate speech... as they demonstrated a clear intention to incite harm and to promote or propagate hatred". The remarks were an "exhortation to kill white males who had participated" in the 2020 incident and to respond violently to racist behaviour, the ruling said."
  8. I like both of these and support 100 percent.
  9. I would love a way to lock the hot pouch to where it will not remove whatever is in your hot pouch. I don't know how many times I have accidently dropped a weapon or healing potions into a chest without knowing it. Since I am a builder with a chest for every type of resource.. I have to go from chest to chest just to find it. What about ya'll?
  10. Since shells disappears now, could you add a way to build them? Sad about losing decorations. With the opening facing diagonally down for a light to go in the opening.
  11. Far as I'm concerned, it's very intentional. And yes I know re: bus size, ddr capacity etc. being limiting factors. Hence, "design better." 6070-6080 should be 16gb vram minimum. I suppose the xx60 could remain at 12. If 60xx generation has any 8gb cards I'll roll my eyes pretty hard. Just me tho. edit: I personally want 24gb min, which is why I keep looking at the xx90's.
  12. That’s intentional though, no? With 12GB of VRAM or more my 3070 (allegedly) would still perform quite alright. Put just enough of VRAM for now on midrange GPUs and they will be outdated in a couple of years. Personaly I will be waiting for “the game” to upgrade my set up. It was lovely to have a massive backlog of cheap games to play when I build my current rig. And yeah, I don’t find current GPU offering to be of a particularly a good value.
  13. Yeah this is annoying. Loaded a ticket but I dont see it on the issue tracker yet

  15. So your posts are more less the same question We have different views on what a flag represents and thats because of where we live For me a flag doesn't represent the government or its policies , it represents the country and its history. Governments come and go with election cycles but your country is forever If people want to burn images of Trump or the GOP thats fine, thats your right and choice In South Africa our flag and what it means is very significant because we have only been a new Democracy for 30 years and the old flag is considered very offensive and hurtful because of Apartheid So even if you personally dont think a flag matters it really does matter on a deeply emotional level to many people outside the USA like in South Africa We also allow people to burn flags in South Africa but I cant recall a time where anyone has ever done that and if they did like you see in the US it would be be immediately and deeply criticized by almost everyone. I cant imagine anyone significant defending it because of the importance of what the flag represents Last year before the national election the DA created a political advert where the flag was burnt and then restored, here is the actual advert. Its not even a real flag burning but a metaphor around politics and this created a massive amount of outrage And this was our presidents response just to this advert, so you can imagine how our society would respond if a real flag was burnt https://www.gov.za/news/media-statements/president-cyril-ramaphosa-condemns-undermining-national-flag-party-political I dont think people should face jail time for burning a flag but they should be fined But the main point is I dont support any justification for burning a flag because it represents the country and not government policy which of course you can criticize
  16. Yeah I'm in kind of the same boat. I could build around a 5070ti for now but it doesn't seem worth it. I mean I still ran the Indy game "fine" even if at fake-4k/DLSS and it looked fine on the 55". I always build with a lot of longevity in mind (it's fun having a topend for a year or two but I mean since I don't mind turning down settings over the years) and with all these devs/game busy upping the ante, I don't have a sense of "uber longevity" from the 50xx series. If I'm going to spend 2k-3k on a topend GPU (because I'm a fool) it better last me at least 8 years. I suppose I keep hoping the companies will get their stuff together better for the next series, too. I'd like an equivalent of something like a 6080ti (whatever they call it) with 24 vram. I'm so sick of low VRAM on new gpu's. Design better, gpu makers. Not just gpu but cpu too. I'm disgruntled w/pc gaming overall. Heh. the other main factor for me tho is pure laziness. Buying parts/putting a pc together isn't so bad, but setting up O/S, transferring oodles of data etc = 2-3 weeks of hell. Never in a hurry to do that.
  17. Well, it's just a football chant that for some reason is weaved with horrifyingly cloying song, but it's somewhat outbalanced by ladies being easy on the eyes. AIas, I don't have anything horrible saved right now, so here's something in Portuguese, which makes a song about angry frustrated miner sound like romantic serenade:
  18. Haven't been able to join or host a multiplayer game since launch. Was hoping with update 0.1.3 I'd be able to do something with multiplayer, but haven't had any luck at all. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and xbox app individually thrice. I've verified game file integrity each time. I've unlinked and re-linked my xbox account to my steam account thrice. Anytime I try to join a multiplayer game, I get the following error. If I try to host a game, it infinitely creates a lobby. The one time I was able to actually host a game, it took 30 minutes to make the lobby, by which point I'd given up the ghost on playing that evening. I've not been given the option to login to a connected xbox account upon login, it just logs into steam as you'd expect. Subsequently, I'm unable to enable crossplay to attempt hosting/joining that way. I get the following error when I try to enable crossplay. At current there's only 2 things I can think would be causing the problem: 1) the xbox app and steam aren't communicating 2) I have to update my goddamn BIOS in order to make the game run. "Why would you have to update your BIOS?" you ask? That'd be on account of this lovely little popup I get anytime I launch the game I'm incredibly loathe to update my BIOS, considering the fact that this computer is less than 6 months old and updating BIOS is a task and a half that could brick my motherboard if something goes wrong. So if there's some other fix that anyone might have that doesn't involve me potentially bricking my motherboard, I would be most appreciative.
  19. Yes hello I love the game. I have a few ideas, one of them are if your riding your buggy you should beable to access the storage instead of jumping off and access in it..and if your building a house you shouldn’t be Limited access your storage when it comes down to building things. Bec it’s kinda annoying building something in rage then have to lug it all the way on the other side of what I’m building.. BUT BESIDES THAT ITS A SLM AROUND GRATE GAME WHEN J WAS A LIL KID I ALWAYS WANTED TO PLAY GAME LIKES THIS ONE . I can’t wait for the updates bec there’s things that I need tge leave 3 monitors for I read online that you can’t make it till the next update unfortunately.. ps if I have any more ideas and I most definitely will lol but ya will post them. Thank yall for a grate game
  20. For 0.1.2, I was able to run high graphic and 120 FPS. For 0.1.3, I can't run at the lowest graphics and FPS settings. My game works for 2-10 sec burst then freezes for 5-15 sec on loop. PC, Windows 10 (22H2), AMD 5 7600X, GTX 1080 (8GB), 32GB Ram
  21. Since you already have a paladin in your party I would go with a trickster/soul blade instead. WotEP does great damage with SA against multiple targets and vs single enemies you can switch to Sun and Moon + Tuotilo's Palm/Best Defense for great dps because you can spam SA.
  22. This will be my last week of work before undergoing back surgery this coming Tuesday. I've been waiting almost 5 long years to be rid of this pain that returned when a distracted teen plowed into me with daddy's truck an hour before New Years Day 2020.

  23. Yes, If your backpack if full and you switch to your Omni-Tool, you will lose the item you were holding. I've lost countless items now.
  24. Legendary recipes that split up the crafted parts would be great. E.g. Stave... shaft, head piece, magical element. Each 3 parts come from 3 legendary recipes. Each part needs a vast amount of resources, e.g. 100 candy for the magical element. This would be great to have not just your weapon, but clothes plus artifact. A full build of legendary armour that would take weeks of gameplay to craft. This way the best gear in the game is a time investment, not just a youtube/google search to find the best weapons by simply going to a location to get it.
  25. When crafting recipes for armour and weapons for your archetype, e.g mage, and do 200 kills to unlock your mutation for the build. It would be great to also open a skill tree similar to those from Avowed, however will a lot of progression needed. Either science currency + number of kills e.g. 250, 300, 350, for each skill/perk point. This would add more deeper customisation in your build types whilst hunting down more science points and have another sink to put them in. I love Avoked and would be great to bring in some perk from that game too to add to the create start of archetypes in Grounded. And when unlocking a skill/perk point, a storyline would update to take to the computer to find out about skill trees.
  26. I finally managed to get in, although I had to do it via a back door method. They started sending me occasional spam e-mails, and one of them let me do a sign in. Good grief.
