  1. Past hour
  2. it is hard to penetrate willful ignorance just like how statement of most eu leader are so pathetic even their national tv are more critical and less evasive yet these hand puppet will keep getting elected until the hand pull out
  3. yes the beauty of monopoly most major game brand will be owned by 3 company
  4. Sigh. hmm. heh. r00fles! In the spirit of asking disingenuous questions: why do you personally support machinegunning civilians? You approved of Marikana- possibly the only positive thing you've ever said about part owner Ramaphosa- and don't seem to find it disqualifying for Morsi's legitimacy after all.
  5. Today
  6. I have already explained why Im asking and why political legitimacy matters Its not about Maduro or the US Almost all the most stable and prosperous African countries have gone through free and fair elections and the leadership has legitimacy because of this. So it does matter And Egypt is not a country whose leadership I admire but it is economically stable but that is only part of what matters to me So if you can just answer the question without trying to overthink it that would be great But if you dont care thats also fine. I realize you live in a first world country where free and fair elections are a given but thats not the reality in many parts of Africa and the global south
  7. What's even the point of that question anyway? Apart from trolling. Morsi in Egypt, MbS, the al Thani's in Qatar, haven't had proper elections or anything approaching it and are considered fine. Morsi was considered fine and his elections free after blatantly machinegunning thousands. Even Zelensky has prorogued his term and is refusing to hold elections. The US won't invade any of them, removing Zelensky by force wouldn't be justified using his overstaying his term as an excuse and Maduro being 'illegitimate' is not the reason for his kidnapping; it's just an excuse for those for people who cannot stomach 'narcoterrorist' as one. That's obvious to anyone with critical faculties. The real question as in all these situations is: if I considered the above, or Trump, an illegitimate leader and had the power to remove them, would it be ok if I did so? Would it have been ok if Putin had removed Maduro (even without burbling about stealing their oil)? Not a great hill to die on, defending Trump's decision on the basis of 'democracy'. It's a defence solely based on positive feelz about the perpetrator, and negative ones about the victim. It's also, of course, an utterly terrible idea because it encourages Trump and says that anything is OK, so long as it's him doing it. Trump's also implied that if Venezuela's leadership doesn't play ball he'll kill them. Truly, democratic values at play there. Same as threatening Honduras if they didn't elect the candidate he wanted there. If you've got rules they apply to everyone. They prevent people you like from doing things they want to as much as they prevent people you don't like. They also provide protections to those you don't like as much as those you do. If the sole basis of what you approve of is whether you like the perpetrator or the victim then you're a awful person- or an awful country. The sooner the collective west wakes up to that the better.
  8. Nothing to do with the US operation, Im asking outside of Canada do you believe legitimacy for a leader should only be determined by free and fair elections Some people dont care In Africa we have seen 7-8 free and fair elections recently with a peaceful transfer of power and it gets celebrated I support that because political legitimacy in any Democracy matters to me
  9. I think it should be Microsoft - Sierra got bought my Activision, Activision got bought by Microsoft. Unless Arcanum IP was owned by more then just Sierra. Do we really want Arcanum sequel though? I don't think original creators are naive enough to attempt a sequel that would do justice to Arcanum's ambitions. As much as I hate to say it, the only dev I could imagine tackling Arcanum2 is Larian, and I would rather have them stay away from the rest of my beloved IPs.
  10. Miller also ranting about might makes right is funny given what a weak man he is. I guess someone stronger can go take his wife and house. And this has what to do with the US operation ? Also my point was Miller's attitude and.... interesting vision of history. But anyway, this is a fruitless vector, as usual.
  11. My question is not about the removing of Maduro by the USA. Im interested if you consider free and fair elections as relevant for domestic legitimacy in any country outside the US? Venezuela claims to be a Democracy and have free and fair elections But Maduro stole the last 2 elections, it was so bad Brazil refused to allow Venezuela to join BRICS in 2024 https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c624m4kgrg3o This is about your own opinion so it is relevant to the question
  12. Picked up Avowed from the Steam winter sale. But since I'm still very far from finishing up my inaugural BG3 run, it'll be a while before I get to try it. Also picked up the ToEE remake.
  13. same here i left mid quest to look for evidences that could helped me convince Aza to spare her and when i came back the door was blocked. Couldn’t open it. even tho i haven’t opened it before. Aza doesn’t seems to follow me through the vent as well. help please i want to finish that quest
  14. It's irrelevant whether I consider him a "legitimate" leader; the government of Venezuela considered him their legitimate President. North Korea calls itself a people's democracy and holds "democratic" elections. Is there any doubt that Kim Jung Un is the legal President of North Korea? International Law and the U.S. Military and Law Enforcement Operations in Venezuela
  15. who even have the right to arcanum right now shouldn't be expansive to buy
  16. Yeah, I am happy to wait for an upgrade until a game I really want to play comes out. I did love building a new PC and having an insane backlog of quality titles to go through. Dishonored2 being one of them, and it still deserves more playthroughs then the one I gave it. Still waiting for a lot of Sony sequels to come down in price.
  17. Do you consider Maduro a legitimate leader for Venezuela? And whats your definition of a legitimate leader in any country that calls itself a Democracy that has elections For me its very simple, you just have to win a free and fair election @rjshae and @Zoraptor Im also interested in what you think about this question and anyone else can respond
  18. I am new here.
  19. Maybe it also has something to do with all the reloading of saves i've done after the quest ended in failure or during the combat, hard to tell. And note that neither the npcs nor the main character is in combat mode, so I don't think the cause would be some enemy got spawned under map.
  20. I'm running The Outer Worlds 2 on PC, during the quest Pinching The Pupa, a wave of enemy never spawned, I've fought the first wave and the second, not sure whether it's the third one missing out or the fourth one, so the quest ojective stuck on helping to defend the fort with no enemy to fight with, which you may see from my attachment below, the radar is clear. Before doing the quest, I wandered into the nest of Mantisaur and picked up the pupa before hand, not sure if it's related. I've tried reloading saves, exiting the game, yet nothing seems to be of help. Besides that bug, there is also annoying stutter of sound effects reloading or loading into a different map like all the sound effects got loaded and played loudly in one second.
  21. One of the best things that @Elric Galad added in BPM was the empower interaction. Predictable "miscast" is flavorful and adds some level of control to the randomness. I have not played BG2, but for the Wild Mage, there was a class ability that always proc'd a "wild surge" but came with benefits (e.g. casting a higher level spell using a level 1 spell slot). I think Empower fits really well here for that function. More thoughts on that later. I think you're so right about them being hard to notice. With the exception of invisibility and stun, there's usually very little visual information presented to you, and the combat log rolls by quickly. I really like having a shorter more impactful list of effects. Even if they were affliction/inspiration, pick a shorter list a la Tayn's Chaotic Orb. I also like the idea of making them focused on Serafen. There's something more playable and flavorful there vs. total chaos. One thing that's missing right now from the current list of Wild Surges is just casting the wrong spell. I think that's slightly harder to do in terms of programming, but even if you cast a second spell randomly chosen, that feels cooler/more flavorful. I'm noodling some effects and will come back with some more refined ideas. Thanks for the feedback/input.
  22. Heh, criminal ex-President to go on trial... and it's not Trump. I wonder how the negotiations for Maduro's pardon are coming along? Presumably Hernández will be consulted for tips.
  23. They fired Moran for speaking the truth, remember.

  25. With the way melee animations work, I haven't had alt-itis like I do in some games. I've tried melee a few times and once I melee-thrust myself off a cliff. Technically I think using the staff to cast spells does the same forward/stuck in an elongated animation movement but since you cast it from afar it doesn't bother me. I might try the bows later. Of course, I'm still using mostly the easy settings, because after the first 20 or so hours, I'm just trying to rush to unlock stuff. Having to find/loot block varieties in "random" places is so annoying. Loot a chest, bang, "true sandstone fancy block discovered." Pffft.
