For whatever it is worth, I tend to not care for jRPGs, but I enjoyed CO:E33 gameplay anyway. It's jRPG systems are actually rather overshadowed by dodge/parry mechanic which makes it closer to baby's first Sekiro. One optional boss in particular felt very FromSoftware. That however, I think is also a weakness as while the game does have variety of characters with their own gimmicks, and neat character building system, it does just dictates how much dodging/parrying one will have to do per-encounter. That said, story is the selling point.

Hi Got an issue in outer worlds 2 Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue After going in the frozen maw (not exactly sure when it happened exactly) My BGM music has stopped When fast travelling and it's on the loading screen it will start to play the BGM of the current area then as soon as it loads and your back in game it cuts out. Tried earlier saves, adjusting audio settings and getting rid of the one mod I had which was the character edit one (used to change background trait and re arrange my points) but I had edited the character before the issue started so I don't think that has anything to do with it also it's the game pass version of that helps. Thanks

Niles Missing from Incognito
AgentTBC replied to AgentTBC's topic in The Outer Worlds 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Niles returned briefly for the post Golden Ridge debrief but as soon as I left the Incognito / transited to a different planet he disappeared again. I can live without him on the ship I'm just thinking this is going to screw up something down the line, particularly any companion quests for him. -

With OCCT its not the load in % but the amount of VRAM, but even if you put 100% testing, for example my card has 16284 MB according to OCCT, but at 100% it only tests 15360 MB because part of the VRAM is reserved for Windows itself. Unless you use iGPU from your motherboard or cpu as primary gpu, then you can allocate more vram to that OCCT test i think.

As the title says. Im at the end of the game and every time I take the shuttle to the Providence my game freezes and crashes on the loading screen or within 10 seconds of being on the Providence. I've tried an earlier save, tried adjusting Graphics settings to their lowest, closed all other programs in the background on my computer. I am playing the standard edition on Game Pass. Incredibly frustrating to be so close to the conclusion of the game and I cant see it

Thanks for your answer, after months I finally found the cause I think, yesterday. Yes I had already done multiple benchmarks and stress tests, including Furmark, I did that already when Awoved came out, I litteraly did a least 5-6 different ones and none ever gave me a single artifact or error. So I moved on and started to believe it was software based, something with the drivers and UE5. Turns out I had missed one specific stress test : OCCT. I found out about this software because I started to believe it had something to do with the Vram, and in OCCT you can target the VRAM and aim at a given % of load to stress test it. Under 75% of load, nothing. But above ? I get 1M errors in less than 2min of test so yeah.. Turns out I've had a hardware problem all along, but only UE5 games trigger this specific part of the Vram with such a heavy load, so it only appear on those games. At least that's the theory at the moment ahah.

Endpoint's End bugged
MrSupes replied to Mustangkill's topic in The Outer Worlds 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Same here. Couldn't find a previous save (probably not far enough back) to re-do it. Tried lots of ways to restart the mission, change out companions, etc. but nothing works. Hope they patch this soon. -

When given the choice on siding with what faction to take the archive with i initially did the quests for AC after finishing the last quest "Mysteries of the Mental Modulators" you're give an opportunity to speak to Auntie Cleo not wanting to making a big commitment (as I wanted to negotiate peace between the two factions) i exited dialog and then started the order factions quests after finishing them and speaking to Ruth about having an alliance it say to speak to Auntie but my only option is to speak to the 2 VPs about only siding with Auntie

To break it down, with the previous two hotfixes I had no problem with the game--ray tracing and HDR both worked fine together, and I was enjoying the game. With the 1.0.5.0 patch--well, here are the problems I've run into. First, here's my hardware: Windows11 26200.7171 Adrenalins 25.10.2 XFX 9070 XT SWIFT tri-fan GPU MSI x870 Tomahawk Wi-Fi, 8-layer, 2 oz copper plane Gigabyte 850 Gold PSU AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D GSkill 2x16GB @ 6400MT/s Boot: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB NVMe (PCIe4x4) Samsung 980 EVO NVMe 500GB (PCIe 4x4) Kingston SNV3S2000G 2TB (PCIe4x4)--drive where TOW 2 is installed Samsung 960 EVO 250GB (PCIe3x2) 8TB Toshiba x300 HDD ST4000DM004 S3 4TB Sound BlasterX G6 USB Philips 43" Momentum HDR-1000 certified monitor Using Steam I have validated the files in the install, and then when that didn't work, I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it, but the problem remains. When I turn hardware ray tracing on, the game displays a kaleidoscope of colors throughout the screen, making the game unplayable because the scenes are barely legible. But when I turn raytracing off (even with HDR ON) the screen reverts to normal + HDR. Turning ray tracing ON but turning Ray-traced shadows OFF does not improve the situation, and when I turn HDR off but turn ray tracing on, the kaleidoscope artifacts remain. And then the AMD driver crashes with a timeout. Again, this did not happen until after the 1.0.5.0 patch was applied. I wish there was a convenient way to roll back the Steam patch (like GOG provides), but I don't see one. Game looks really good when I can play it, but something in the patch has caused a game-stopping problem! It seems like the bug is in the additional ray-tracing code changes in the patch, because it added a "ray traced shadows" toggle that was not there when I ran the pre-1.0.5.0 patch. Suggestions welcome...;) EDIT: Wanted to add that running the game from thge "Arkansas" exe or the Normal exe made no difference. Final Edit (I hope): I have no idea what happened, but I watched as the shaders compiled immediately after the patch--and that's when the trouble started. Well, I reinstalled the GPU drivers (same as listed above), and I watched the game recompile the shaders (~60-90 seconds), and then went into the program--fully expecting to see the same problems with raytracing I saw before--but what-do-you-know--it's WORKING FINE NOW...;) Not sure what it was, but a reinstall of the drivers fixed the problem. I hope it stays this way...;) Time to get back into the game!

Not bought it, but looking at that Sacred 2 Remaster that just released... edit: read the one review that says it is terrible... -
Installed the Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC version over my existing install from 2019 so I could keep all the programs/games. Color me surprised it worked and there are no nasty issues as of yet. Whenever I get around to buying a m2 drive I will probably run a fresh install. Thanks @Bartimaeus
