No idea what price tags they have on the other side of the pond, but here they have relative low cost of ownership compared to fossil fuel cars. Depending on usage of course. Up front investment is higher but every Km driven saves you money. Not sure about the charging time, my dads VW ID4 typically takes 15 minutes to go from 20% to 80%. I.e. it's not instantaneous.
To not go further OT in the funny thread... I would consider a hybrid, not a plug-in hybrid just a regular hybrid, for my next car. A quick Google search shows me that theyre only ~3-5K more than their ICE equivalent, so that seems reasonable. I thought I was doing good getting 31.3 MPG, then one day I drove my bosses hybrid car and the trip computer was showing me 46+ MPG. I seriously questioned myself if I was reading that right lol. EDIT: Also, apparently I have no idea how to make a quote block now.

New Scientific Discoveries, Part FĂĽnf
The only shot that ever hurt me (and did so twice) was the Shingles vaccine. I even switched arms for the second dose and it still hurt for a few days.

^I fall into the second category but I dont backslide. Im closer to the end than the beginning and dont want to be all busted up when I get to my retirement years so I exercise 3-4 times a week (just in my home, no gym membership here) but I dont "eat healthy". I just got my annual physical blood results yesterday, and despite my best efforts, Im healthy as a horse lol. I dont want to outlive my wife but Im 5 years older so hopefully that wont be an issue.

Unemployment benefits are a little more nuanced than that. From Google (its a little out of date but): "Long-Term Unemployed Rise: By August 2025, the number of people unemployed for 27 weeks or longer—those most likely to exhaust state benefits—surged, with more than one in four (25.7%) unemployed Americans out of work for over half a year." So people will eventually drop off the books.- Cinema and Movie Thread: coming 2 a theater near u
