The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain.     Boys vs girls is  foreign relations. Mars and Venus, afterall, are different planets.  And, they both blame each other for the invention and spread of cooties.

    He doesn't need to hit back, she didn't question his ability to hit hard. She might be wrong to ride to the bait, but I believe mathematically two wrongs do not make a right.

    Nah, hitting her back is too obvious and, if we've learned anything from sports scuffles, it's always the person who retalliates that gets in trouble, not the person who got physical first. The proper response is to pretend to let it go, wait a good long bit of time, then stealthily cut the brake line on her parent's car before they take her to school.

    Sure he does, is a good way to teach the lesson that you don't go hitting people lest you get your ass kicked in response. Best to get that learned when you are young. Granted, has to be done proportionally, throwing a Grade 7 down a flight of stairs after he shoved me was a bad reaction in hindsight. But being Grade 13 they let it slide :lol:

    I agree its bad parenting, but not that he should hit her back (I'm old fashioned like that).
