Hello, I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for whether to get this on PC or a console.  I have both (PC would be able to run on max settings).  Tried looking online for pros/cons of each and there aren't really many opinions yet.  Thanks

Recommended for PC as it was designed for it. I seldom play it with Steam controller for fun ( I am a huge controller fan ), but really...this is for PC, Mouse and keyboard.

The console release is a ways off still so that's why there isn't much info on that front.

I've heard the first game was a good console adaptation so hopefully the second one is as well.

If you want to play the game any time soon then PC is the only choice

Console. The console sales will probably suffer the same fate as the first (one of the poporest seeling games on XB1/PS4 of all time.

Support Obsidian and buy it on console as well! :p

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

I played the first game on both PC and PS4, and to be honest, I was very surprised how well it works on PS4. Sure the game is "made for PC", but that's not entirely correct. The UI on the console version are made specifically for consoles, streamlining things and making things a lot easier to do with a gamepad. Even the controls are different, as you control your MC directly with the analog stick, rather than click on the ground where you want to go. (The others tag along in formation, as expected.)

Overal... I'd say it's a matter of preference. This is a long game, and I would love to lay on the sofa and play with a gamepad. And I'm going to, once the Switch version is out. The main reason why I play on PC is because the game isn't out on consoles until September. That said, I do like playing on PC too. I'm just more of a console person.

That's interesting, i'd like the option to control the main character on PC with a controller.

And rightly so. Learning behavior is only successful if you reinforce the lesson, and not reinforce bad decisions.

I'd say better get it on pc since it's designed around mouse+keyboard. That is if you enjoy playing in pc as you enjoy playing in your console (or more). If you prefer playing on console in general, maybe wait and play it on console.

But I'd recommend pc.

I realize everyone makes typos, but I can't make out what you meant to say when you said "poporest seeling". did you mean "poorest selling"? that's the best meaning that I could come up with that made sense.

still, you may have meant to say something else, so it would be good to get clarification.

You want clarification about some minor detail he wrote a year ago?

Since Sonic doesn't seem to be a big fan of word plays nor does he seem do be of German origin (where "popo" would mean "butt") I'm very sure he just meant "poorest". Mystery solved I guess. ;)

Sonic didn't post here for a month or so now - while before he was quite active poster. So I wouldn't expect a direct answer.

Maybe he just opened up another user account. ;)

Missing and no one has thought to send out a search and rescue team to find Sonic yet?

Ps I wad thinking about the Mitch Hedberg joke where they are calling out names from a restaurant waiting list to be seated, and the Dufrain's don't answer. :)

POE works great with the steam controller on the PC. In fact, I haven't played a cRPG in years using a keyboard and mouse - just don't see any reason to as you can pause these games and couch + TV is a much more enjoyable experience. Actually went back and played all the classics with the steam controller (BG I & II, IWD, PST, etc) and had no issues.
