rustypup Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Do we have any update on this? We are still waiting GOG customers. What these guys said. Are you gonna throw rocks at me? What about now? .. What about now?
Stephen Unsworth-Mitchell Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 @obsidian Please show us gog users some love even if just quick update say things are progressing will have more news soon. Not saying anything just makes us feel bit unloved. 1
Messier-31 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Just put all the scavenger items as a free DLC already. 9 It would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air...
rustypup Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Hmm. Deathly silence is as much a response as any I suppose. Are you gonna throw rocks at me? What about now? .. What about now?
JackK3000 Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 There is a topic/post from user Deus_Ex, which offers kinda different solution for this, at least a temporary one if anyone is interested: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/96805-introducing-the-seafarers-scavenger-hunt/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2027320 But so far, I was not able to find any official update regarding Scavenger Hunt on GOG. 1
tarasis Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 I'm a would be GOG owner, waiting for Obsidian to sort this out, or let us know they aren't. (I haven't chosen where to get a key for yet, would prefer GOG but undecided) 1
Stephen Unsworth-Mitchell Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Come on Obsidian give us some news please
Big-Ben Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Obsidian will give an answer when they feel they have a satisfactory answer. Yes! We have no bananas.

Thanks appreciate @Big-Ben yeah maybe after they get this first big patch out we might hear some news.
rustypup Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Obsidian will give an answer when they feel they have a satisfactory answer. Look. It's a precedent thing. I get that some folks are more lenient than others but any dev I catch supporting the walled-garden-lock-out idiocy of DRM over their consumer is immediately flagged as oh-carp and placed on pause the next time around. Because the only way we end the silliness is by casting the only vote that means anything. 1 Are you gonna throw rocks at me? What about now? .. What about now?
AndreaColombo Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 (edited) EDIT: wrong thread. Nvm. Edited June 1, 2018 by AndreaColombo "Time is not your enemy. JackK3000 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 It seems this is not going to be resolved anytime soon...
Archaven Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 It seems this is not going to be resolved anytime soon... or it seems they don't give 2 pires about their fans who supported them who went gog instead of steam
Stephen Unsworth-Mitchell Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Has been mentioned in another post they are still working on it. 1
Kapten Teo Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I hope this gets resolved soon. The first story DLC is not too far away, and before I buy it or the season pass, I'd like to know which platform to stick to. I'd be willing to switch to Steam if the GOG version keeps having problems like this.

Aranduin Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I REALLY hope see this problem fix with the next story DLC/big patch the first. I think is really lame dont have after more than 1 month the scavenger hunt.... 1
JackK3000 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Yeah, I see updates are coming, but no update on Scavenger hunt for GOG players, not even mentioning. And, let's be truthful, it is already some months past release. At least some note of reassuring they are really working on it would be nice from them.
Ethics Gradient Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Yeah, I see updates are coming, but no update on Scavenger hunt for GOG players, not even mentioning. And, let's be truthful, it is already some months past release. At least some note of reassuring they are really working on it would be nice from them. I believe the last we heard, ObsidianEric stated on reddit something along the lines of "GOG players WILL be able to get the Scavenger Hunt items or I will die trying". [ RIP Eric, you will be missed. ] Seriously though, just follow the instructions <in this post> Installation is barely any more difficult than installing a mod. The "DLC" files are nothing more than a few tiny scripts to tell the game to drop some items into the party inventory. Who knows if there will ever be an official solution, but following the above instructions is no different than what Steam does to enable the scavenger DLCs. 4
JackK3000 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 It looks like with new patch 1.2.2 we have a solution here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103909-patch-notes-for-1220033/
