Ha! PS:T takes first, Fallout 2 beats 1, and a great game I didn't vote for made it into the list (bloodlines)! If only BG2 had only been five with the Fallouts ahead, it would have been a perfect ending. Great job, algroth. Seriously, lots of fun and a pleasant way to waste some time. Kudos to you, man. This has made the time I've spent here well worth it. Keep up the good work, man!

I haven't played it yet myself. I admit that I've always been dissuaded from playing it because of how big of a red flag the "vampire underworld" setting is for me. I hope - and partly expect - to be wrong about all my preconceptions, and at the very least this poll has definitely made me consider that I should perhaps check it out... But I'm not entirely certain when I'll get around to it.

I think you have to be into the universe and possibly be into the underdog tale of Troika to really appreciate the game. The writing is great, the characters are great, and there is a lot of customization and choice. Many different ways to play the game just by choosing your race or species or whatever. Unfortunately the game is very buggy and unfinished in some aspects -- even with unofficial patches -- or at least it was 6 or 7 years ago. Personally I don't care for the setting and was let down by the bugged and unfinished state of the game so I only played the game once.

I honestly hate the Vampire setting, my friends played the p&p game for four years straight, and I loathe vampires, but goddamn it if I didn't love the game despite this. I don't remember what possessed me to play a game that was placed in a setting I disliked, but I'm glad I did.

Also; Kudos to algroth for actually putting all of this together, must've been quite an effort that we're not really worthy of :)

I have to say though, that I am really dissapointed in the voters here. Not one racing game or sim on that list!

Also, no Battlezone fans? :(

I miss Kaftan Barlast, with his help we might've gotten one racing game on there.

Atleast Saints Row 2 made it, and not one sign of the GTA series. :D

GTA, together with Worms and Mario Kart, gave me the most fun I ever had in multiplayer. In the literal laughing out loud sense of the word.

Same can be said about Space Sims. I expected some Wing Commander or Freespace 2 on the list, but looks like I am the only one who voted for WC :(

Also I put Gran Turismo 2 on my list, so I made my part in this matter :p

Oh... I completely forgotten about Worms: Armageddon... we were playing that with my friends all the time when I was teen :( That should deserved mention on my list...

I voted for GTA: Vice City. Wouldn't say it's a cerebral experience, but it was great fun and had fantastic aesthetics.

2 magnificent people of taste and refinement also voted for Elite, which I think made it the highest ranked space sim despite being 33 (!) years old and not making the top 106. I also considered Wing Commander IV and Privateer but didn't choose either in the end.

I feel like throwing a fit knowing that I was the only one to vote for Liero.

First time I've ever heard of it. Looks similar to Worms.

Put fascists and sociopaths on your ignore list.

But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

It's Worms in real time, with outstanding physics, especially the weapons and the bungee rope. Player vs player on a single keyboard is where it's at.

Wow, I remember the Bruce Lee game you put on your list. One of my first games, I have ever played. On Atari 800XL. Unfortunatelly, I was not able to finish it, because I have always died at the same spot, and I was not able to overcome it :(

I loved that Bruce Lee game.  Played it on the C64 - we'd take turns playing as Bruce Lee (and trying to beat the game) or the Green Yama (who could be player or computer controlled and with the always computer controlled Ninja was working against Bruce).  It took a long time to figure out how to beat it (we eventually agreed to use the Green Yama to run interference with the Ninja until we figured out each screen, then went back to competing with one another).

I'd be up for taking part in a "worst video games" poll, though not sure I would be interested in hosting it, at least not right away. What would be interesting would be to see whether any of the games in the top 100 would also make their way into the bottom 100 - I know at least one of them would make my bottom list, maybe two even.

Well tbh, hard to do any worst games list. If you know the game is ****, youbwill not bother to get it even for free, but if you never played it, you cannot objectively put it on the list, because you know it only from hearsay. *shrugs*
