November 15, 20178 yr I am playing on 2012 Macbook Pro, Intel HD 4000 graphics, and after 3.07 I'm getting a lot of stuff like this: https://imgur.com/MnUJWHe Also, I have been all over Anslög's Compass and cannot find Ponamu Bird-Scorned. Thank you for your attention.
November 15, 20178 yr Looks like a full reinstall is necessary, maybe even a redownload. But gog does not publish checksums, so you never know if your files are bad. The new npc should be here: https://www.gog.com/game/pillars_of_eternity_deadfire_pack More modding for PoE II | How to Work with Stringtables
November 15, 20178 yr Hi, I am also having this issue. It started when the game prompted me about enabling telemetry. I am playing on a MacBook Pro 2016, Intel Iris graphics. I have tried verifying integrity of files on steam and then reinstalling the game. Any other way to fix this? Update: For me, the graphical glitch appears to only affect fog effects, such as chimney smoke, in White March Part I, and not the base game. Also, companions found in WM I do not undergo walking effects. https://imgur.com/Y4fcMrq This is what Russetwood looks like for me. Edited November 16, 20178 yr by warriors235
November 16, 20178 yr Yeah I have a similar issue, playing on a MacBook Pro 2013 Intel Iris Pro. Pink everywhere as of today! https://imgur.com/a/babcX I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the complete game (ie including white march 1+2) without effect, although the base game works if I don't install white march I and II.
November 16, 20178 yr Same for me. Affects only weapons and shields (armor and weather elements are OK). Configuration is the leatest version of MacOS on MacBook Pro Late 2013.
November 16, 20178 yr I am having a similar issue on a Macbook Air 2013. It's impossible to play the White March content--the entire screen is pink in the first encounter. https://imgur.com/a/iSjLP The pink issue also appears with some AOE spell effects.
November 16, 20178 yr I too have this problem, running a fresh install of Kubuntu 17.10. Durgan's Battery is pink, inside and out. Stalwarth is pink on smoke, and everything below where the houses are (i.e. down towards fishery). Maps are all pink. I have tried two different installs of Steam, in case that was my problem. First, Steam Flatpak. This is a fresh download/install of PoE as well. Second, Steam.deb. Here I copied my old (17.04 install) [~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Pillars of Eternity] folder into the new install. This was working yesterday. I'm currently installing it on my Macbook to check if the problem is there as well. AMD RX480 Intel i5 6600K Edit: Startet it up on my Macbook, just now. Same problem in WM areas (specifically inside Durgan's Battery, latest save in WM). Loaded a save from Twin Elms. No pink fog there. Same result on Linux (pink in WM, no pink in Twin Elms save). November 16, 20178 yr Hey guys, I also have the same problem with WMI & WMII content on my MacBook Pro 2015, Steam version. Additionally I noticed that the Alpine Dragon doesn't initiate the dialog on its own anymore and when it turns hostile it neither moves or attacks. The other enemies in its cave behave normally. I am not sure if behavior of other NPCs is also affected. I am currently redownloading the game, I don't have high hopes, since the guys above mentioned it doesn't help, but let's see...
November 16, 20178 yr I am currently redownloading the game, I don't have high hopes, since the guys above mentioned it doesn't help, but let's see... I did another re-download on my Linux install, and the problem is still there. And seing as it is also present on my completely fresh OSX install (fresh OS install and PoE install), my completely uneducated guess is that the problem must lie with the latest patch or something. I've had no trouble with graphical glitches and bugs previously, on either OSX or Linux. (Except for the black Fog of War sometimes disappearing, revealing the map, but still having the 'soft' FoW. Though this was remedied either by a save --> load, or transition to new area) Edited November 16, 20178 yr by Oter2k Linux ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
November 16, 20178 yr Same for me, my install is Steam version on Linux Mint 18.2 with Nvidia proprietary drivers. Files checksumming, reinstalling game - without any effect.
November 16, 20178 yr I've got green lines on the bottom and right borders of my screen, and the game doesn't scroll very well downwards or rightwards. Also, it no longer seems to register my keyboard at all.
November 16, 20178 yr 2016 MacBook Pro; Radeon Pro 560 GPU; Steam Same issue here, it seems to effect my WM content more: all the soulbound weapons are pink and Maneha doesn't move properly.
November 16, 20178 yr 2016 Macbook Pro; Intel Iris Graphics; Steam. Base game works but WM content does not work. This appears to be an outcome of the patch. I was able to do the Deadfire update and even play the base game though; there are some occasional pink effects. Stalward in WM is all pink.
November 16, 20178 yr Same here, on a Mac with Pillars just updated through GOG https://imgur.com/a/vZSFo
November 17, 20178 yr I have this problem with old saves but have not seen yet in any new games, on Linux (Mint), with a 7770. Will see if it shows up when I hit the white march. Edited November 17, 20178 yr by khango
November 17, 20178 yr Author Same for me. Affects only weapons and shields (armor and weather elements are OK). Configuration is the leatest version of MacOS on MacBook Pro Late 2013. Try going to Whitestone Hollow, for me that entire map is pink.
November 17, 20178 yr MacOS 10.13.2 High Sierra beta, 2012 rMBP with discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M. I was playing right before the update tonight with no issues. Immediately after the latest patch I loaded the previous save I was playing. Pink squares all over the place, corresponding to fog, flaming torches, terrain and atmospheric effects. In addition, many glowing or animated weapons appear solid pink rather than their normal textures. Can enclose screenshots if necessary, but it appears identical to the issue reported by others in this thread.
November 17, 20178 yr Just an inquiry---has anybody sorted this out? I'm unable to keep going on my game since the issue has rendered White March unplayable. Edited November 17, 20178 yr by lpro
November 17, 20178 yr Same with me. Some weapons/shields are bright pink, and two characters don't animate when moving anymore, they just slide around. Verified game files, fresh install, nothing worked. 2017 Macbook Pro + Steam
November 17, 20178 yr Same here with GOG Version on Windows 7... Weapons and Shields are pink. Same for some graphic effects in combat. Makes it unplayable...
November 17, 20178 yr I also have this problem, definitely renders the game unplayable. Tried to contact Obsidian tech support to no avail. Hoping for some kind of update soon!
November 17, 20178 yr I just bought white march i + ii a few days ago - and now they're unplayable. Any word from Obsidian on what their plan is to sort this out?
November 17, 20178 yr Same issue on linux. Latest Steam updated version but NVida card using Driver 384.98.. Now I wish I had never updated. We get YouTube about the DLC but not about the massive unplayable issue?
November 18, 20178 yr I'm also having trouble with pink squares on 3.07 2012 iMac on El-Capitan. I'm at Caryon's scar and in addition to the pink effects, the Lagufaeth's are also pink and don't attack. We need a fix ASAP
November 18, 20178 yr Would be amazing to get an answer on this from someone at Obsidian. Game has basically been unplayable for 3 days since the patch. Wish I never updated.
