Well, there's a familiar face - that bearded half-elf was my main's portrait in BG. Though I had him dyed red (it was a pain):

 

 

From a roleplaying point of view how are you going to play such a portrait when in Eora there are no half-elves and only pale elves can have beards?

It doesn't look like a pale elf though. And I'm not gonna dye that portrait again into white, ef that.

Pillars 3 better have a lumberjack of a male pale elf to companion with.

It looks like an elven something. You can make a pale elf that looks similar.

The length of the beard is the real problem (such a model doesn't exist in the game).

The problem is that there is no black hair for pale elves. Darkest one is something grey.

Last time I fired up Deadfire (it was 10 seconds ago ) Wood Elves could have beards:
 

The problem is: Orlans can't have beards! Look at my avatar! Dammit Obsidian!

The problem is that there is no black hair for pale elves. Darkest one is something grey. 

 

But thanks to you there is a redhair version

 

Also, hood/helmet covers it up.

And POE lore says only pale elves can have beards, so that's probably an omission on devs part.

I guess we'll have to wait which of those gets declared as "oops!".
