GhoulishVisage Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 From the official Obsidian twitter account: Something awesome is on the horizon... The first Pillars expansion?Next Obsidian Kickstarter? The unannounced project? When in doubt, blame the elves. I have always hated the word "censorship", I prefer seeing it as just removing content that isn't suitable or is considered offensive
Rostere Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Or all of them? "Well, overkill is my middle name. And my last name. And all of my other names as well!"
Amentep Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Something is brewing? Well obviously "Obsidian Entertainment" is becoming "Obsidian Entertainment and Fine Craft Brewery". Because...something is brewing. Thank you, thank you...I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your waitress on the way out. 6 I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Gromnir Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 so, Pillars of Legos? HA! Good Fun! 1 "If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence."Justice Louis Brandeis, Concurring, Whitney v. California, 274 U.S. 357 (1927) "Im indifferent to almost any murder as long as it doesn't affect me or mine."--Gfted1 (September 30, 2019)
GhoulishVisage Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 So it was that rumored card-game Pillars tie-in.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2081578473/pillars-of-eternity-lords-of-the-eastern-reach-car Looks like fun. Not much of a cards guy, but I may back it at a later date. When in doubt, blame the elves. I have always hated the word "censorship", I prefer seeing it as just removing content that isn't suitable or is considered offensive
ManifestedISO Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Sure I'll put in for another Pillars of Eternity digital key. Maybe I'll try this card game solo if it comes with a Path of the Damned No Friends To Play With Edition. All Stop. On Screen.
majestic Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Oi, looks fun aaaand is backed. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.
C2B Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Was already announced back in april for those who follow scott. I just found out myself though. Edited May 28, 2015 by C2B
ManifestedISO Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 It's progressing nicely, might even see the funding goal tonight. I bet I could make a solitaire game out of it, in case I don't make any friends to play with by next February. 1 All Stop. On Screen.
Leferd Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Sure, why not. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
WorstUsernameEver Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Was already announced back in april for those who follow scott. Fergus Urquhart had announced it pretty publicly in an interview with PC Gamer. Guess it just slipped most people's minds. (Though I was hoping for news of the expansion, but I'm guessing they're leaving that for when it's closer to release.)

Still nice to see that they got their funding immediately. Tempted to back it, but not sure if my imaginary or actual friends are into such card games. E3 is coming up, might get some news there. Hate the living, love the dead.

Lychnidos Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 E3 is coming up, might get some news there. IGN claims to have confirmed that a Pillars of Eternity expansion will be present on E3 in some manner. http://www.ign.com/wikis/e3/Games_at_E3_2015
majestic Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I guess the new Kickstarter update means that the (first) PoE expansion is going to be announced June 17th. Yes, the $165k stretch goal is a mystery. We can tell you that it will be more cards. What kind of cards? We can’t tell you until Obsidian makes an announcement for Pillars of Eternity the video game on June 17th. Let the speculation begin! No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.
Fardragon Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) mispost Edited June 13, 2015 by Fardragon Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!

teknoman2 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) South Park 2 by obsidian confirmed at E3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3u9oXclCgyU Edited June 16, 2015 by teknoman2 The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did. Modern democracy is: the sheep voting for which dog will be the shepherd's right hand.

Sakai Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Obsidian isn't doing Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft San Fransisco is. Wonder why...
Humanoid Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Don't you see, Fractured But Whole is a metaphor for how the Obsidian fractured when MCA was splintered off, but er, has been restored somehow. L I E S T R O N GL I V E W R O N G
Tigranes Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Obsidian isn't doing Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft San Fransisco is. where i found this video they said it was obsidian who was making it Typical game journalism, don't worry about it. It's Ubisoft. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Zoraptor Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Obsidian isn't doing Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft San Fransisco is. Wonder why... Because Ubisoft generally uses internal studios and inherited sp: tsot with Obsidian from THQ when they went bust. It's about as surprising as Assassin's Creed: Iteration being made by an internal Ubisoft studio.
