Fans raised like 4 million dollars to get it made, so the producers made season 4 all about pleasing hardcore trek fans rather than trying for broader appeal. My father works his ass off to make less than 200,000(before taxes) a year, after working construction, pool cleaning, and eventually starting his own business in pool repair. My mother worked as an aide in a hospital until she was able to help pops start the business. I remember barely having enough to make ends meet and not being able to afford new clothes or videogames until I was 10. Instead of funding my adventures, my folks made me pay for college myself and offered only a $500 a month rent and a 40+ hour job that paid $11.50. And I'm supposed to be the privileged one?
