I used to want to be a part-time truck delivery driver in my early years of "just need a job". Not semi-trucks, but more local. Pickups, UPS, something like that ... because I used to like to drive, be alone, and it wasn't working in an office/sales. Apparently however, most such jobs couldn't picture a 4' 11" female playing that role, even if she could lift/carry 50+ pounds. Took the US Post Office exam once, too ... didn't quite make it score-wise (it's pretty tough to get that score over all the applicants...) and never tried again.

I want to share with you a guys a bizarre and funny dream I had last night. Remember that dreams are just your subconscious mind trying to  rationalize the various thoughts you are having. So a dream doesn't have to make any sense or mean anything as you'll see in this case :)

As I mentioned I go to Vegas every year for a Technical symposium. In this dream I was in Vegas but I was staying with Hurlshot and he was showing me around Vegas with his wife. But he looked like he did in his  Avatar picture, not in real life. We were also life long friends. He took me to all these clubs and in this one club I met a school friend who I haven't seen for a while, a guy called Mike. Anyway Mike started talking to me about "what I was doing in Vegas"  and then he came back to Hurlshots house and we all had a barbeque. I woke up and the first thing I thought was " surly Hurlshot doesn't know Mike". I then realized that I also have never met Hurlshot  and the whole thing was just dream. But it felt so real :w00t:

Just finished building my new rig. I feel like celebrating so I'm going to go drink more than one person should in a week while I install some divers and ****.

Watching game 7 of the NBA finals while drinking heavily and craving a greasy, cheesy burger

I get way too involved in these things

I would get involved, but teams from Houston generally lose.

Heh. I wasn't rooting for the Spurs to win as much as I just wanted Heat fans to lose. Those people are the worst  :p

Do you remember the first one of those? What was the title? I've been trying to find it ever since. Had some great stories.

That's from Shakespear's Hamlet, with you as the part of Horatio if I'm not mistaken.

As a citizen of the state in which something is rotten, I was certain you would know :)

Preparing myself for a 24 hour stint of watching the biggest racing event of the world live  - the 24 hours of Le Mans, France. I hope Toyota beats Audi this time.

Damn, I need more beer and potato chips!

See, when this happens to me I just end up being very very polite for about 4 hours and going home more or less sober, but untarnished. Ros will probably end up being flung around in some kind of tripartite feminine salad spinner. Like a sexy lettuce.

I'm having a braai (barbeque) today at my house. Despite the fact its winter the sun is out and the weather is very pleasant. I have pork chops, boerewors( like a sausage), homemade potato salad and cheese and chilli garlic bread. Some friends are coming over, we'll have some drinks and smoke some weed  so it should be a good Saturday :dancing:

Been doing meditation today. I haven't done this in at least a decade. It's freaking awesome.

Just solved three big problems. Bit scared I might generate solutions to all my problems, because then _who the hell am I_?

This is also why I don't do drugs.

There are many distinguishing features which separate a braai from a (British) barbecue. For starters the food is actually cooked. Secondly the men know how to make the fire properly. Thirdly, grilled or not, the food is home cooked and delicious.
