The D&D character test!

Ok, I'll start:;

Chaotic Neutral Half-Orc Fighter/Ranger (3rd Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength- 20
Dexterity- 16
Constitution- 17
Intelligence- 12
Wisdom- 13
Charisma- 14

Yeah I can't argue with that though I've always considered myself to be a tiny little bit smarter than 12. (At least I scored higher than Anomen & Minsc   :p )

Alignment:
Chaotic Neutral- A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

Race:
Half-Orcs are the short-tempered and sullen result of human and orc pairings. They would rather act than ponder and would rather fight than argue. They love simple pleasures, such as feasting, boasting, and wild dancing. They are an asset at the right sort of party, but not at the duchess's grand ball. Half-orcs are as tall as humans but their brutish features betray their lineage. They regard scars as tokens of pride and things of beauty. They rarely reach 75 years of age.

Primary Class:
Fighters- Fighters can be many things, from soldiers to criminal enforcers. Some see adventure as a way to get rich, while others use their skills to protect the innocent. Fighters have the best all-around fighting capabilities of the PC classes, and they are trained to use all standard weapons and armor. A fighter's rigorous martial training grants him many bonus feats as he progresses, and high-level fighters have access to special melee maneuvers and exotic weapons not available to any other character.

Secondary Class:
Rangers- Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter's dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

No, YOU go to hell.

Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

Okay I completed the questions as accurately as I could but for  some I had to  give the best answer as none of the answers were appropriate

Lawful Good Human Wizard/Sorcerer (3rd/3rd Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength- 12
Dexterity- 11
Constitution- 11
Intelligence- 14
Wisdom- 11
Charisma- 14

Alignment:
Lawful Good- A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment when it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Wizards- Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

Secondary Class:
Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Pretty decent stats.

I was awfully close to being Chaotic Neutral, though (points were basically split between the Chaotic and Lawful ends of the scale).

The magic is strong in the Obsidian members, the vast majority is either a wizard or a sorcerer.... So, those who are wizards/sorcerers, are spell casters your preferred class to play in RPGs?

Nope, I don't really have a preferred class.  I've always created a character specific to the campaign rather than relying on an "old fave".

But it has to be said that I didn't like a lot of my options. Sometimes I wanted to say yes to both options, sometimes I liked none, and generally the choices were lacking nuance. There was one question about how well I did at school. Yeah, I didn't do so well, but that had little to do with my intelligence.

Anyway, apparently I'm a tree-hugging hippy.

There was one whether you were better in math and science or music and art...

...well I did 5 years of music in HS and was in Calculus in my last year as well as a second year chemistry (and would have been in an art class too if I'd been able to swing it). So really the answer was "yes" to both.

No I've always found wizard to be extremely boring to play.. I prefer neutral Rogues or some of the newer stranger classes like Hexblades etc.

Yes I love  playing a Wizard or Sorcerer, so I am happy with that profile guess for me :)

Yeah I agree, some of the questions don't really give you enough variation in an answer. So I had to answer some incorrectly for what I am. But this is not to be taken seriously, its just some fun

But saying that, are you suggesting that you aren't a tree-hugger in RL?  :p

Uh, I guess I fit the stereotype if you don't go beyond the surface. Left-wing politics, nature lover for sure. But I also like society and culture. I love my creature comforts and I make sure all my DnD chars do as well. As I get wiser I'm also much more forgiving than I used to be. I'm fairly smart (definitely not in agreement with the intelligence score, haha) I couldn't live in a urban sprawl forever, but as much as I love nature including the wildest parts, I doubt I'd ever decide to give up internet or plumbing for a life at one with the mother-tree or some such. I'll take either in doses.

The one thing this test did show was my dislike for paladins and their absolutist thinking, if you can call it thinking. I can't stand the lot of them.

I usually roll a high intelligence high charisma rogue, I make up for the hit I take in dexterity by picking up ranger as second class for the two weapon combat it gives. Occasionally I try a bard, but that's a fairly new development. I feel the dual class brings me closer to my own views of just wanting to experience as much as possible. of loving life both in nature and in society. But there I sound like a hippy again.

Almost always a warrior type... Paladin or ranger in BGs...
