"Ohhhhh... you mean 'Chi-pot-LAY.'"

We spent the next minute or so trying to get the right pronunciation into his head. Needless to say, he's an awesome dude to hang around with.

it's not 'Chi-pot-LAY.'

If she had'nt managed to hit him in the nutsack she would've been setting herself up for major troubles. Look at her when she does her really flashy spinkick and nearly falls over herself, that's a recipe for disaster.

Was fun back in "highschool" to humiliate people that had trained taekwondo or some **** like that half their life, when they got ****y and thought they knew how to fight.

Even so, good on her for standing up for herself! The act itself, if not the execution, brings a smile to my face. :)

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/fifty-shades-is-blamed-for-rise-in-999-handcuff-rescue-callouts-8736372.html

More than 1,300 Londoners have dialled 999 after getting stuck or trapped in objects from blenders to handcuffs over the past three years, figures reveal today.

Fire crews have had to “remove objects” from 165 people, free 79 people from handcuffs and have been called out to nine men with rings stuck on their private parts.

The London Fire Brigade says some of the near 10 per cent rise in the number of people being trapped or stuck since 2010 may be down to the popularity of the erotic novel Fifty Shades Of Grey by E L James.

The brigade adds that many of the emergency calls could have been prevented with “a little common sense”.

I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.

I laughed tears watching this video.

I've never seen a more incompetent rally car driver, the co pilot is SCREAMING the directions, the car spins and flies off the road several times at ultra low speeds, the driver couldn't shift properly if his life depended on it.... And some of the YT comments are golden. Pure comedy.

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

-Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>>
Quote

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."
