What do you mean by Western and Eastern guns ?

Well the police guns look like some German/Austrian/French/US kind of design , while the gun our psycho squad member is holding looks like a russian SR-3 Vikhr . I'm seeing thing but hey, give me something. I wouldn't like a pure US vibe everywhere. :(

Ah ok, was wondering how Asian rifles worked better than others or something :p Still, that is a fair point how Russian vs German vs US weapons differ, hehe. Well it was sort of gun porn, the slow-motion scenes of them firing from the barrel close up or casings being ejected, etc.

The whole thing was slow mo! I could just as well call it skin porn because of the lengthy close up.

Well you could, but the gun porn was there, not that the whole thing was so, I made that comment in a joking manner.

The story takes players into the future where they will play the role of a man who is trying to lift himself up from the grim fate he currently faces.[/color]

"In 'Cyberpunk 2077,' the player will be thrown into a dark future. The metropolis of Night City is a stage set to tell the tale of one individual, raised on the streets, who tries to lift himself up from the gutter and find a way to survive amongst boostergangs and megacorporations in a city of filth and sin.

"Drugs, violence, poverty and exclusion haven’t disappeared by 2077, as people stayed they were for centuries – greedy, closed-minded and weak. But not only ghosts of the past trouble mankind, but new issues have appeared.

Cyberpunk 2077 trailer

"Psychos go on rampages and the streets are filled with junkies addicted to a new form of entertainment – the braindance, a cheap way to experience the emotions and stimuli of someone else, someone living a more exciting life."

Players will be able to stream a braindance into their own minds using the BD player, which will help the player understand a person's experiences.

The range of these particular themes can be from any sort of experience, and do not seem they'll disappoint players.

"The range of themes of these recordings varies from simple braindances made by megacorporations, which e.g. allow the viewer to feel the full experience of an explorer with all its thrills, sweats, smells, views, sounds and the real feeling of curiosity that pushes men to go beyond the horizon against fear and physical weakness.

"But there are also more controversial sides of braindance, because some recordings are created illegally in the underground. Entering the mind of a serial killer means not only seeing the monstrosity he performs, but also living his lust to kill and fulfillment."

Streets in "Cyberpunk 2077" will be filled with these braindances as people cannot resist being part of this new trendy fad happening within Night City.

"This is the world of 2077. The gap between high and low is bigger than ever. Drugs, violence, braindance, psychos on the loose.

"Will you be able to function in this defunct society or end up a BD-junky with nothing left, set aside like garbage - still living someone’s else life –not aware of what’s going on around you? Whether you like it or not - this is the age of braindance decadence; this is Cyberpunk 2077.

Nightshape well some people just don't know how to enjoy teasers. And those wouldn't be happy with anything.

Having something worthy of a storyboard would actually help a lot.

The teaser could be summarized in 3 pictures and is as non-informative as it can get.

You're working on it, or are you on the other title? Assuming you're not under the threat of Polish NDAs.

Also the trailer looks good, although the most interesting part is the hidden message: game currently scheduled for 2015, although it's really only a "when it's done" deal, and it was announced so early to build up the team.

CDPR also sent out moar info on Cyberpunk 2077 that I don't see posted here.

It's a teaser. And it showed:

  • Art direction
  • Character and limited gadget and wear design for Psycho Squad
  • Insinuates cybernetics being available as if it were cosmetic operation
  • Vehicle operation (hovering) and design (at least police force).
  • Police attire and weaponary
  • Name of Police comminsioner
  • Power and resilience of Cybernetic appendages

:p

Huh? I was saying I was happy to see the positive reception... I don't see much negativity here.

There's a hidden message at 2:14 that says both Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 will be open-world RPGs.

With Cyberpunk I already knew that, but Witcher 3? I mean, it makes sense, given that Witcher 2 kind of foreshadowed that with its epilogue, but it's still surprising

Wow, I hope Witcher 3 will be open-world, but its not a huge deal if its the normal linear chapter based game I love.

Sorry, I guess people are use to sarcasm :)

I like the way the teaser slowly reveals the whole scene. It's fun to figure out what it means without prior knowledge.

I saw a lot of negative reaction to the music, but I really like it when they try to match the graphics with lyrics (or the another way around?).

Anybody else left wondering after watching that Cyberpunk teaser, what human organs remain in that mantis girls metal shell? Maybe it's just a brain and a spinal cord, connected to wiring and hardware. Kind of creepy when thinking about it. Do you even call it male or female if it has no reproductive organs? Wonder if the game will delve into questions of the flesh, and what exactly it means to be of the human species when all physical cares have been swept aside by technologies cold embrace?

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

There's a bullet hits her corset thing too, so I think her torso's gone as well.

Of course there's the flip side of the argument where they could extol the virtues of technological immortality, throughout time the best and brightest of humanity has fallen to the tyranny of the flesh, time has taken far more than the most cruel conqueror. Perhaps they'll highlight that aspect as a counterbalance to the cyberpsychosis. Keep everything nicely ambiguous.

Remember how in most cases, cyborgs (and androids) have this layer of soft tissue (or otherwise skin-like synthetic material) covering the metallic parts? That layer is so amazingly thin on that girl that her skin could just be a paint job, and whatever makes her so indestructible, must be very flexible material
