Joric Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Born in Australia, but going by "blood", I am either Scottish or Norwegian. And seeing as both are European countries it really does not matter! Just to clarify, I have been living in Norway since the age of two, so most of my childhood (and currently adolescence). 1
ravenshrike Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Is it terribly old fashioned of me that I resent being lumped in with Europe? No, you kept your own currency. A wise choice as the Eurozone is about to crash harder than the space shuttle Columbia. Of course, when it does it will probably set off Great Depression 2.0 around the world so you're still boned, but hopefully this one won't be followed by World War 3.0 I'm from the part of America where every time I cross the Atlantic one of the waitstaff at a restaurant I go to will ask where I'm from and when I answer they invariably respond with a godawful tommy-gun impression. "You know, there's more to being an evil despot than getting cake whenever you want it" "If that's what you think, you're DOING IT WRONG."
Mamoulian War Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 If someone was from St Pierre and Michelon, would they answer north america or Europe? I mean you could spit on Newfoundland from there, and is further west than NFLD, but is part of france. If I am correct according to the picture on our money, even Tahiti is part of Europe Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. Meshugger Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Finland I still haven't met a single one in my town that has heard of Planescape: Torment. But on the other hand, due to my work, i tend to travel to Sweden a lot and no one seems to have heard about it there either. I heard about Fallout once in a pub while studying in Turku though. Hornet85 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) I'm from Malaysia, a small country down South of Asia and a former colony of the British. Therefore, English is an important language here which allows us to enjoy great video games. Video game is no stranger here, I grew up playing DOS games like Xenon 2 and Pre Historic 2 although they used to be expensive due to the fact that they had to be imported from the opposite site of the globe. But thanks to Steam and other online digital distribution, video game access has never been easier, and Steam sales have contributed a lot in encouraging gamer here to avoid piracy and go legit. Sargallath Abraxium Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 ...the Black Isle... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... A long, long time ago, but I can still remember, How the Trolling used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance", And maybe we'd be happy for a while. But then Krackhead left and so did Klown; Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town. Bad news on the Front Page, BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage. I can't remember if I cried When I heard that TORN was recently fried, But sadness touched me deep inside, The day...Black Isle died. For tarna, Visc, an' the rest o' the ol' Islanders that fell along the way

bunia Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Greetings from Poland! :3 Either computer RPGs are especially popular in Europe, or North Americans just don't like voting in polls Or it's still pretty early for US fellas, isn't it? Maybe after morning coffee they'll join this thread. Dak'kon: "Strength lies in *knowing* oneself."

This thread has been up for a couple of days now. Europe seems to have a majority constantly. It would be still interesting to see the country break up also.
