Morgoth
I loved the first SpecOps game, I don't even remember what was so good about it... anyway, will keep a close eye on this I didn't even know Spec Ops was a franchise. The Line is the first one I ever heard of. Rain makes everything better.
sorophx
in 1998 there were only 3 military games worth playing. Delta Force (great MP), Rainbow Six (great tactical gameplay) and SpecOps. this will be the first PC SpecOps game since SpecOps 2, wow Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. Morgoth
Dunno, looks a little bit too much linear and Hollywood-porn driven to me. Not that is a bad thing, but still, as mentioned earlier, I don't think games are the right medium to convey that sort of story telling were effective. I rather prefer something more open-world, open-ended with sidequest stuff. Batman AC has showed that Action games don't have to be roller-coaster experiences. Rain makes everything better. sorophx
considering that the last 6 or so SpecOps games were released on consoles, this new thing is probably aimed at the console crowd and not at people like me. Morgoth
Honestly, I think this is Spec Ops in name only. Yager (the developer) said 2K only wanted to sign up if they could do that with a franchise. Rain makes everything better.
sorophx
actually, now I remember that I have Yager (the game) somewhere still, and I've never beaten it. I remember reviewers praising it. so I'm cautiously optimistic about this new SpecOps from them Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. Morgoth
The Japs are behind the curve when it comes to tap into the Western markets. It's not Oblivion anymore that people hold towards the heaven, it's now Skyrim. Totally different thing. Edited February 14, 2012 by Morgoth Rain makes everything better. entrerix
Dogma Footage[/url] It's like the art director is actively trying to sabotage the project. This one is even more generic than Oblivion. it looks kinda generic, but it actually looks really awesome to me. this appears to be what kingdoms of amalur was trying to be (a fairly open world rpg, with action combat). im definitely keeping an eye on this, if it could somehow combine the elements of elder scrolls and dark souls it could be one of my favorite games ever. of course, it will probably end up being a disappointment, most things are, but that doesn't mean im not intrigued with the concept. Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete. I remember playing that one, the guys in our company would put up a beefed up server for the night and then we would slug it out against the guys at the city council. sorophx
Would it be worth to play Delta Force nowadays? :> I always only played the demo as well and later totally forgot about the game. they used an interesting technology for their graphics (voxels basically), so even then it looked a bit rough compared to full-3D shooters. but it return it allowed for huge environments. if you can look past the graphics and can find a good community to play with, I'd say do give it a try, its co-op holds great moments. but frankly, even ArmA 2 Free provides more content and features today, so if you're looking for a good game to pass the time ArmA 2 has everything you need (but I'm sure you know that already) Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland.
