Although in large part that's due to the way they sting and insta-doom companions due to a bug in the system. And the incredible speed. I'll take two deathclaws over one cazadore any time. February 16, 201114 yr You're not supposed to run right into a wasp's nest. They don't seem to have much DT, so you can machine gun them pretty easily so long as you don't draw too many at once. Helps to give your companion a machine gun also. Arcade's default Plasma Defender works pretty well-- not an automatic, but a pretty high rate-of-fire.

If you have a companion, even the eyebot will do, you just cripple the wings while they attack your ally, then shoot them while running backwards. They close almost instantly if not crippled. Yeah that bug annoys me. It was enough where I finally GECK'd some created companion gear to give them massive poison resistance (they have 30ish by default, I give them 300). Seems to work. If the next patch fixes the bug I'll get rid of the cheat-amount of resistance. By the way, what would one use to take screen shots in FONW. I think sometimes PrintScreen you can get the 'screenshot saved' in the image, but it works well enough most of the time. But I still prefer FRAPS. Such a useful little program. Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.
February 17, 201114 yr I discovered last night that the mostest awesomest weapon is the lowly (upgraded) lazer rifle. I took out the nest of deathclaws on the other side of the river with it. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

Wanted to let you know there's a new game update coming soon which will optimize the game for DLC and cover some issues reported in our forums – including performance and stability. We’ll let you know when the update is released. The Dead Money DLC is getting its PC release, and there's a patch coming along at the same time, which will address both DLC integration and the fixes Josh and others have mentioned.
February 17, 201114 yr I assume this is going to fiddle with my modded game. But I also assume I'll be able to drop a lot of fixes .esps so it should be good overall, as long the new version of NVSE comes out soon.
