40 hours in. Returned to the Lucky Casino and Victor attacks me, which means all the robots go hostile. I have no idea why.

Anyway to fix this with the console?

My game has been crashing to desktop much more frequently, with the error message in nvlddmkm or something like that. I assume it's a driver related problem, though I do not have any problems with other games.

Not really a game "breaking" issue, but an annoying one. I'm in my second play through and as I'm completing the Primm task of retrieving that deputy, my lockpick mini-game has gone all to hell. Instead of being able to see my lockpick pin and lock, I get the computer screen instead. And since it blocks the lock, I can't see which way to turn the thing.

I've tried re-loading at earlier points, but it doesn't seem to help.

The game itself is very fun but there are some serious problems:

Freezing- I've only had this game for 2 weeks but it freezes up my ps3 more than anything else. Since I did play Fallout 3 I wasn't expecting perfection but I also wasn't expecting to do a hard shut down 3 or 4 times in one night. That's not good for the console and sometimes it happens in between loading which corrupts the autosave and I have to go back to my last manual save of which I now have to make many.

Unfinishable Quests - I find myself going back to old saves because an objective isn't where it's supposed to be according to the mission marker.

"Exclusive" DLC - yea, I know it's a timed exclusive, I'm just surprised this crap is still going on. It would've been nice if we were told about it when we were pre-ordering rather than the day before launch. Smooth move.

Not that I'm all that interested in getting any of it. If this dlc messes up this game as badly as the Fallout 3 DLC messed that game up, this game will be rendered completely unplayable.

Broken Radio Randomizer- I dig Wayne Newton but he keeps playing the same 4 songs over and over again. I also dig the songs that are there but after hearing Johnny Retar 80 times in a row I'm ready to go Mysterious Stranger on someone. Not that having the other dozen songs playable would make a huge difference: this game can go on for a while (when it isn't constantly freezing) and the radio (even if it worked properly) has enough music for a short downloadable game. This is the main reason I wish I had the 360 version. Not to get some overpriced and buggy dlc but so I can hear more than 4 different songs while I play this.

You really need to patch in a custom soundtrack option for ps3 users.

List of things you need to do:

-fix the constant freezing that requires the hard shut down

-fix the bugged quests that can be rendered unfinishable: let me know if you need more specific details.

-patch in the custom soundtrack option for the ps3

Not sure what you're referring to exactly but there at least a few quests I think that are time of day based, among other things. But yes, some quests seem to get broken with no indication.

Different radio stations play different songs, and some stations don't come in, in all areas. I haven't counted to see if all of the music in the game folder is played between all of the stations, tho.

I actually think it's the opposite of sad. They don't need to create their own patches, they do it out of passion for the game.

No, it isn't, when a game is moddable like this game is, people not doing something like that would show a lack of interest if anything. Not to mention that Bethesda & Obsidian haven't stopped patching the game, official fixes will still be forthcoming.

Some questionable "fixes" in that patch though, like the time extension for the find the virus quest.

Interesting. The guy from the Deus Ex Shifter mod had work on this.

Meh, I don't really trust Wesp5's work on Vtm:B, I rather play vanilla.

Kind of ironic I guess from a guy who works on TSLRCM and has made a community patch for the DX mod The Nameless Mod...

Though a community patch would be quite more effective after official patches stop, otherwise you have to rip out and modify everything per each official patch.

That 'bug fix' feels more like a 'what I don't like about the game' fix, which are two different things. I saw one 'fix' in there that made the sheriff & his wife's dead bodies disappear in Primm because they didn't like that they remained. Sometimes users can solve tech issues but that file doesn't seem to be only about that, thus I don't want it.

I'll wait for more official patches.

Some not-really fixes seem to have the right idea though, like the Caravan cards not being individual items (like with Pazaak). That's just major clutter in your inventory.

Not that I probably would play Caravan once I get a PC that can run this game (or they fix it up so I can with this one) but it would be an annoyance even with randomly found cards...

My understanding from reading around is that if you put the extra cards in a container and then take them out again, they'll get properly put into your 'deck'/disappear from inventory like they should...and if you don't do that (still in your inventory), they won't appear for use in the card game. I think that actually is a bug. But I haven't tested any of it since I don't play. :p

I was thinking...I don't know if this is actually a bug or if it was intended, but I noticed that all my weapon hotkeys are reset every time gear is taken/given back. I find this very annoying. Maybe someone can make a little fix for that?.... :p

wow, another bug I've encountered, I gave the unique weapon Pushy to Veronica, and she did wear it, and now after a few hour into the game, she doesn't carry it anymore... way to screw me wen I try to be nice with my companions...

This is not related to yoomazir's problem above, since Pushy's a lone item, but I finally figured out that sometimes when I think something has disappeared from my inventory, it's because the game has stacked the items but has failed to put the number in parenthesis to indicate it, like it's supposed to. But if I click on what looks like a single item, it'll still split into two (into a container, or companion inventory) again.

This happens with all companion but is more frequent with Veronica, if their arms are crppled they will drop their current weapon and might not pick it back up. This seems more likely to happen when they are carrying another weapon as they will switch to it and forget about the dropped one.

It's been noted extensively on the Wiki that the 'Still in the Dark' quest is often impossible to complete. My issue is that there's no way to complete it that doesn't leave either McNamara or Hardin repeating that the situation should be resolved shortly, regardless of how much time passes. I can wait for three days or twenty days; either way, nothing changes, and I can't speak to either to initiate the next quest in the chain (which apparently leads to Brotherhood power armor training).

A dull boy.

So your saying the weapon might still be lying where it dropped? damn, guess I'll need to check all the areas I travelled with Veronica now...
