Planetside was kind of like a persistent world Battlefield 2 or 2142 from what I recall.

Yeah, if Battlefield 2142 had airdrops, hovertanks, bombers, and power armor.

 

I miss doing Liberator runs over the enemy's vehicle console.

I think I played Planetside's trial back in the day.

Tribes 2 was innovative for me just because I could see my legs.

Two players using Win98's flaky Internet Connection Sharing using a 33.6k dialup connection playing Tribes online without a hitch - that was the most impressive thing I remember about it.

I only liked NWN for its multiplayer. I spent hundreds of hours on that game. If you are getting this for the offline alone, don't bother.

AFAIK it still isn't out in Japan. I think its release date there is Nov. 5th or something like that. Wikipedia doesn't provide news on the subject so I'll have to scavenge to find the date.
