Is anyone else aware of so extreme a crime being copycatted so frequently in so short a time? I can't think of a single example.

The weird thing is that many commentators are blaming the rapid pace of change, and feeling of powerlessness and alienation in modern China. This is weird because it's essentially the symptoms of a 'futsie' (future shocked) person in the comic Judge Dredd. Futsies have been in the comic as long as I can remember.

Jeez I was just relaying what the wikipedia article said, and noted a recent case on these parts that seems to be similar. This may clear up the issue.

Maybe; and I say this without any bigotry, its because they are Chinese. They have laws to restrict procreation and overpopulation is an issue, could be resentment developed through the years.
