The lack of a gay romance may or may not be a turnoff for (gay) customers, but it looks like Bio chose not to risk it. A sensible decision if the popularity of regular romances is anything to go by. November 26, 200916 yr I wonder if the gay romance for Mass Effect was stripped due to the style and story of the game. While I'd still consider it a roleplaying game, the narrative is less flexible than other RPGs I have played, so I found there to be a bit more "hand holding."
