Sand
Odd... Really odd. Speaking of criminals I am considering asking my manager for a bullet proof vest. Sunday afternoon a Casey's (a local convenience store) clerk was shot and killed. The only thing good about the whole ordeal is that the bugger, after stealing and crashing a police squad car, killed himself. Ames is getting more dangerous. I think its time to move to Portland, Oregon or even Vancouver. I sometimes wonder what's worse, educated criminals who steal millions, or uneducated criminals who kill for fifty quid. "It wasn't lies. Sand
Well, he originally was getting away on his bike, but a cop stopped him, which resulted in a gunfight and while the officer ducked behind the car the killer got behind the wheel and sped off. Here's an article on it: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25907226/ Edited July 29, 2008 by Sand Murphy's Law of Computer Gaming: The listed minimum specifications written on the box by the publisher are not the minimum specifications of the game set by the developer. @\NightandtheShape/@ - "Because you're a bizzare strange deranged human?" Tale
FYI, Im pretty sure its illegal for civilians to own bullet proof vests. It's not, unless you're a convicted felon. And then it's not necessarilly illegal, but some states do carry penalties. I have a job interview tomorrow. It's temporary work, but I'm excited and nervous about it. I looked and you are correct, its totally legal for civilians (excluding felons) in every state except Connecticut. Good luck on the interview. WILL THE ALMIGHTY
I just saw Coldplay in concert. Words cannot express how amazing this was. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

LadyCrimson
Today I decided we're going to get cableTV again. Not so much because I want 45 music and sports channels (I don't) but because I absolutely loathe the way digital broadcasts stutter and entirely stop/interrupt if the signal gets weak or disrupted. Y'know how old TV signals, if it wasn't coming in perfectly clear it was still watchable, tho a bit fuzzy or static-y? Digital/HD broadcast gets those garbled square blocks then screeches to a halt like you paused the show. No sound, no moving picture, nothing. The evening winds where we moved to are so frequent and gusty that the digital/HD network broadcats often become slide-shows. And since they're going to stop broadcasting the old signal type next year, so I won't even be able to watch the old-style fuzzy non-HD version...cable it is! Might even get TiVo. Hehe. “Things are as they are. Sand
Cable is evil. I haven't had cable for almost a decade. Then again I haven't watched actual television for about a decade as well. Tale
So, apparently the interview today went better than I thought. I got a call from the recruiter and was told that the company would like to make me an offer. I'm going in tomorrow for paperwork. I will be, in a short time, employed in the video game development industry. I like being vague. No, it's not with Obsidian. theslug
I bought an RV. Holy crap. Why on earth would you buy such a horrible investment? There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
