George Carlin R.I.P.

George Carlin dies at the age of 71.

Well, ****, ****, ****, ****, **********, ************, and ****, the guy kicked the bucked. The last one of my holy trinity has gone(Carlin, Hicks and Pryor), and has left humanity with an empty void that will never be filled, leaving the torch of enlightnment to the very young Doug Stanhope.

An Eulogy:

- The famous seven words

- Children

- Environmentalism

- Pro-life is Anti-Woman

- Rape CAN be funny

- Religion

- Some people are just stupid

- Voting?

And he saved the most important one for his last performance: It's bad for Ya!(2008), namely

Thank you, and "Joe Bless".

I'm so glad I got to see him live. RIP

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Sorry but never found the guy to be that great.

There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.

Dude, that's like saying that Michelangelo, Beethoven or Goethe were overrated. Please elaborate and come with better ones :)

Okay I'll admit when I made that post I had only seen about 5 minutes of cumulative material over the course of like 20 years of my life. But after reviewing some of his works on youtube I'm still going to have to say. Sorry, still not all that funny. I laughed a few times but really "the famous 7 words" and other videos that are supposed to be some of his best are pretty bad.

Edit: Not enough cat humor.

Don't worry I can take tale. I've been training my straight leg kicks for the past few days that could break an infirm man's knee cap in a single stroke with a bloody crunch of cartilage and shattered bone splintering off into the retinas of any nearby mammal. I don't think your willing to take that chance.

This is what happened to the last guy that crossed my path. Took old Bessy out to pasture.

But Tale is a level 89 psychologist grand master slug killer. He will use his amazing reflexes to dodge your attacks in the heat of battle, while stroking your ego with flattery about your fighting ability, successfully getting into your head, making you take your eye of the ball, and then that's where things begin to go haywire for you.

Not much of a Carlin fan. He was an obnoxious hippy. Though I did like his comedy about dogs.

Much more bummed about Stan Winston passing away. :(

So, you're comparing the efforts of a special effect artist to a comedian? That was unexpected.

Come on, try harder people. So far, i have only heard that "he wasn't funny" or that "he was too angry", or like the one mentioned above. I am expecting examples of greater comedians instead, with a greater insight, timing, and delivery.

I was a bigger fan of Mitch Hedberg, and he died young rather than having a full life. Still a sad passing though.

John Candy and Chris Farley are two that come to mind. If we're talking about deceased comedians.

I've laughed at some of Carlin's routines, but no where near dozens upon dozens of other comedians. I will admit that he is/was funnier than Larry the Cable Guy. That's not saying much though.

Also, when I said 'obnoxious hippy', I was basing that more on him off stage. He was... well, just not someone I'd like to know personally.

Also, I obviously wasn't comparing his comedy to Stan Winston. Winston made some decent special effects, but I have no idea about the jokes he cracked. :( Comparing him in a sense that I've been more affected/appreciative by/of Stan Winston's work over Carlin's comedy.
