Slowtrain
I will igmore those who called me an alt and pretend that I did not hear it. Many of the greatest posters on message boards everywhere are/were alts. To be an alt is a powerful thing. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that. Musopticon?
This is about the only forum where the moderators spam more than the members. And I don't necessarily mean only the current lot. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Darth Drabek
For some reason this thread reminds me of Jorian... Personally, I wouldn't want the job. Not even if they changed their title from "Moderators" to "Regulators." I'm pretty sure the mods have to actually read all of the threads in their respective fora. Could you imagine being responsible for the Star Wars forum? Whew... not even if you paid me. Besides, I enjoy being part of part of the rabble-rousing proletariat too much to take a position of such heady responsibility. Yeah... take that, establishment! baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs

Besides, I enjoy being part of part of the rabble-rousing proletariat too much to take a position of such heady responsibility. Yeah... take that, establishment! 1) While for some of us reading all the threads and new posts in a forum isn't actually anything new, when you become a moderator it takes on a completely different feel - you do it because you feel obliged to. A reason (I'm here, may as well post!), I suspect, for the general spamminess of our moderator cohort - which is OK by me! 2) Yeah! I enjoy my alts and my boneheadedness too much. I've been down the moderator route before and lets just say your alts start to have post counts that rival your own and when they actually start to break the rules and have fights with you, well it's probably time to step down, because the next step is a power trip where you close every second thread and ban everybody whose skin colour is pink, you rascist bastard. *Events depicted in this post may or may not have been undertaken with the help of Alice, may/may not have taken place in the forums of Wonderland, and may/may not in fact be real.
