tripleRRR
Huh, never expected Singapore to be a hotbed of xenophobic tendencies. Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.

Musopticon?
I heard that they are trying to push their image up in Asia, because all the other ex-city states are taking the stage, and that tehy apparently aim to do with political correctness as well. Pffffft. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. SteveThaiBinh
Mass Effect is certainly extremely hyped. It's getting rather ridiculous now. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Hurlshort
Well, Bioware releases one large RPG every few years, and most people tend to love them, so I guess it makes sense.
mkreku
Noone's allowed to post their Mass Effect reviews until the 19'th, apparently. Stupid embargo's. Hell Kitty
The x button is used to skip dialogue, but it can also be used to select dialogue options. The annoying thing is that the dialogue circle thingamyjig can pop up at any time, at the end of a characters line or half way through. A number of times now I've pressed x to skip at the exact moment the circle comes up. Thankfully, it's also on the default option, but it still annoys me, I could be missing out on wonderful paragon points. I think I'll just have to turn off subtitles and listen instead. Oh, and female Shepard is voiced by Jennifer Hale. Oh baby. Edited November 18, 2007 by Hell Kitty

Pop
But is she british in ME? Didn't the lady who voiced Viconia voice the Handmaiden as well? It's not like pro VAs have just one voice. The good ones, anyway. Mass Effect is certainly extremely hyped. It's getting rather ridiculous now. What else is there? Honestly. Leferd
Mass Effect is certainly extremely hyped. It's getting rather ridiculous now. And people on the Bio boards are whining that Dragon Age isn't getting hyped enough...getting all hysterical of it being vaporware. Please. Volourn
HAHA! Lots of people have complained about that. Thre ebiggest complaints about ME thus far from thsoe who have played it are: 1. Horrible inventory. 2. Combat is stat based and not 'shootery' enough. 3. Slow ass elevators aka loads. mkreku
As seen in the gameplay videos, the game is marred with bad framerates and crappy combat. Otherwise it sounds pretty solid: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=87875 8/10 from Eurogamer. Not too shabby! Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish! Volourn
Heh. I just started a thread about the rveiews. Bugs, and such seem to be the biggest complaint. Combat complaints seem to be centred on the fact that ME isn't 'shootery' enough. EG dislikes the fact that too much emphasis is put on talking/exploring than on combat which they expected since to them it's the 'meat' of the game cause I guess they expected a 'shooter'. L0L Otherwise they positive depsite the relatively low score (though, 8/10 isn't horrible in relaity;/ but in game land it cna be a death sentence). mkreku
No, 8/10 isn't low by Eurogamer's standards. If you go to IGN or Gamespot or 1UP or any of the American game sites, then yes, 8 is a low score. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish! Volourn
Yeah, I agree. 8/10 isn't bad per se on its own. Sadly, in the gaming community it's gonna be seen as ME = 8 = crap. It's bad it is that way though since I don't rate too many games that high myself. *shrug* DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
